Is there a way to have voicemail automatically go to Bluetooth? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hello,
I use BT 95% of the time. I'm not sure why when I open voicemail it goes to speaker instead of BT. Anyone know how to fix that (without pressing the bt button on your headset which opens vlingo)?

I sent Samsung an email on this - I'm anxious to get this worked out as this is very important to me. I often listen to VM in my car after leaving a meeting. I use BT for audio about 95% of the time.

This is the response I got from Samsung - anyone have some A2DP BT headset?
Thank you for your inquiry.
Voicemail will work with your bluetooth headset if it support A2DP profile. Please check your bluetooth
headset model if this support this bliuetooth profile.

I missed this in the last part of the Samsung bug fixes they are working on - I just read hotspot and moved on.

Having the same issue. Previously on my HTC EVO after the Gingerbread update I was able to listen to VoiceMail through bluetooth when in my car and connected. I was not able to do this with the Photon I had a month or my new Epic 4G Touch. However I THINK you can hear it if you manually go into Voicemail and then press 1 to hear all voice mails but you cannot hear it if you click on the Voicemail icon and then click on a listed voice mail. Why this would work on a HTC Evo but not the Samsung is the question.

I'm using a T-Mobile/GSM HTC Touch Pro 2 on Mobile 6.5 and Sense 2.1

The annoying part of it is that each time I get in my car, I have to go through the menu, restart bluetooth, then initiate the stereo audio connection. After that, I have to go into Pocketmusic and start the music. That's just a lot of menu flipping each time I get in the car.
Is there a way to do this quicker? Like, restart bluetooth with shortcuts, or create a script/program to restart bluetooth and initiate the stereo audio/hands free connection?
You want to go into google and search auto "A2DP connect XDA" That will give you a list of threads regarding your issue.
Find or try a few different cabs and see what works for you.
That will at least have it so that when you are near your bluetooth car kit and turn your bluetooth on it will automatically connect it as a stereo headset as well as a phone headset.
You still have the issue of having to turn your bluetooth on and off manually though. Does the T-Mobile rom not have a com tab where you can just turn the bluetooth on and off? You might want to look into flashing a custom rom like Energy or something.
That put me on the right track. I installed a2dp toggle and a2dp from here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=67853
When I got in my car, I connected to the hands free, but not stereo audio. Something's wrong still. I think there's an INI file that controls the program started when the connection is established.

Parrot Minikit Neo problem

Hey all
I just got this BT device to make calls in the car and noticed, that i can't, bacause voice is not transmitted from phone to Parrot. When i make the call, Parrot just goes mute, i can't hear user on the other side and he ca't hear me. If i disable Parrot and use the phone, when call is active, it works...when i transmit call over Parrot again...nada.
Music and ringing works fine over Parrot, voice dialing and everything...except normal phone calls. I cheked bt setting and both music and calls are activated, so it should work..right? I use stock rom
I tried this Parrot device on some dumb nokia phone, and it works just fine, so Parrot is working.
I also trid some nokia bt headset with S3 and it worked...so Phone is working too...rihgt? Parrot support says that S3 works fine with Minikit Neo.
Any idea?
tnx
teva
exactly the same probleme I have with Lumia 925 and WP8 AMber.
My parrot minikit has 1.14 firmware.
I tried tons of options... nada.
Using a BB9330 no problem (audio is tranfered to Parrot if phone-call is done on the mobile)
... any ideas?
Thanks

Seems you are not alone, but contacting Parrot seems to be the only way to get a fix http://forum.parrot.com/english/viewtopic.php?id=12618
Try a new ROM maybe?
Would using this help: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elinext.android.parrot.mynos&hl=en_GB (only for droid)
I currently have the older Mini Kit and it's always worked without issue regardless of ROM

RoamControl disconnects bluetooth!! HelpPlease

I been using roam control app for sometime now and its been working great.
I now updated my phone to jelly bean and started having my Bluetooth disconnects every time I change roaming option.
Here is what happens. I connect my Bluetooth headset to the phone, dial a number and make sure its working than go and change my roaming option either to roam or go back to home/auto when I do that my Bluetooth gets disconnected as if I unpaired it from the phone. But, the Bluetooth icon stays as if nothing changed.
I have to turn off my headset than disable Bluetooth in the phone and enable it and turn my headset back again for it to work.
I tried Roam Control 2.4.4 its what I been using sometime and also updated to the new one 2.6.2.
Sprint Galaxy S3 16GB. FreeGS3 1.0.0 rom.
Jawbone Era Bluetooth.
Android 4.1.1
Current baseband LJ7
PRL 25009.
Changing modem or PRL didn't help.
Thanks.
If your changing it while in call it makes sense. Your radio disconnects from Sprint then reconnects to the roaming tower.

No.. I don't change it while in call.. but I do make a test call before and after changing.
Its almost like roam control turning off the radio for signal and bluetooth when changing the roam..

[Bluetooth Headset] Hands-free not working in Windows 10

Hi all,
I recently bought the new Huawei Freebuds 3i. They are really nice and work pretty good with Android.
In Windows the problems start to happen. As far as I understood every headset with a microphone has a Stereo device and a Hands-Free device. The first is for multimedia such as YouTube, music and so on. The second one is for voice calls, or apps like Discord/TS. While the stereo works fine, the hands-free doesn't. In Microsoft Teams, and all the other apps, I configured audio IN/OUT to use the Hands-Free device, like this:
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What happens is:
Insert earphones;
Start the call;
For the first 2 minutes the call is perfect. I can both hear and speak;
After these 2 minutes the IN audio doesn't work anymore. The mic will still continue working and the other people will continue hearing me, but I can't hear them.
When I go on the sound panel I see that the sound is playing, but I can't hear it through my earphones!
It's like something goes in conflict in the earphones and they stop speaking. I have tried lots of setting but none of them worked. By now the only way to use the earphones is to use them with an external microphone (like my gaming headset's ones) and it will work. But obviously I would like to use them with the integrated ones.
Has somebody had this issue and solved it?
Thanks in advance folks.
EDIT: I have now just tried disabling all the other audio sources, keeping only the Hands-Free device. It still gives the problem. After some minutes the sound just stops, although the audio seems going on. And obviously, having only this device as output, I cannot hear any sound from the PC, neither YT or Windows sounds.

Question Selecting Microphone Input

Hi guys,
I have the Alexa app installed on my phone and it works fine, except for when I'm in my car, connected to the Bluetooth radio.
Since the car's mic isn't always on and transmitting audio to the phone I'm unable to get my phone to respond to the "Alexa" voice commands.
Is there any way to select between microphone inputs to allow me to get the voice controls?
I run an unrooted, stock Poco F3.
Thank you.

Have you tried going to settings, searching for android auto, then Android Auto settings/'Hey Google' detection and putting the toggle on for always listening even if screen is off...?

I appreciate you're not using ok google, but wondered if this would help...
No, I really haven't tried that cause my car doesn't have Android auto, but I'll give it a go and see what happens... Thanks.
Tried it and still no go. Bummer...
