Google Music Beta - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anybody managed to get Google Music working on their Xperia Arc?
I've installed the APK that worked fine on my Galaxy tab and previous HTC Desire Z... installation was fine but once connected to my google account, none of my uploaded music from cloud gets pulled in.
Does the APK not work with the Xperia Arc?

FIXED!
Haha... i forgot to go into Accounts & Sync and manually sync 'Music' from my google account settings.

Can't sync google music with CM7

Hi all!
Has anyone tried to sync their desire with google's new cloud music.
I finally got my invitation a couple of days ago and uploaded a few albums to google music, but it does not show up on my desire to stream.
I have a CDMA Desire on US Cellular running CM7
In the google music app my account is enabled. Under Settings/Account's and Sync
music is selected to sync along with calendar, gmail, voice etc.
But I don't see anything I uploaded to the cloud on my desire.
Any advise?
Thanks!

Sony Ericsson Sync

Good day. I tried to use sony ericsson sync to back up my contacts. After doing it, it would say that i have finished syncing it but when i check at the Sony Ericsson website, the contacts remailn zero which means that no contact was transferred. Has anyone experienced this?
It doesn't work at times. Better Sync with Google Contacts though.
Google is certainly better, for me anyway.

Thanks for the replies. i tried syncing in the Accounts and sync option after setting up my google account. After syncing, i opened my google account but still could not find the contacts that i had synced earlier. Are there any other options or settings that i missed?

I set up an account, it all looks to be OK.
I then set up the account on the 'phone, which again looks OK.
I then go to sync and the little sync symbol flashes up for a moment when I 'tap to sync' but when I look on the Sony Ericsson site it says that no sync has been performed. Tried deleting the account then trying again but I couldn't make it work. Back to Google... Google sync does actually work very well for me. The calendar and contacts allow me to sync to and from my iMac and the Xperia Arc with relative ease, so I suppose I'll stick with it!
Since yesterday all seems to be fine for me, SE sync works like a charm ^_^
I used sony sync and all my pictures are blown up and half are showing ?? in timescape

No Calendar sync 4.2.1

Hello,
I've tried several ROMS and 2 version of Gapps.
My problem is there is no Calendar sync at all.
When entering the Google account under Sync There is no Calendar at all. Just Gmail, Drive , Browser and Contacts.
When entering the Calender app , I'm greeted with "Existing" "New" and "Later" screen , as it doesn't detect any Google account associated with the phone.
When trying to use "Existing" and add my Google account , it states this account is already in use.
I've looked in the web calender for any clues as to why my calendar sync disappeared , and did not find any.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
Erez
Look in /system/app & see if you have (Google)CalenadrSyncAdapter.apk. You need the sync adapter to use an AOSP built calendar apk. The other option would be to get rid of the calendar.apk in your rom & download form the Play Store.

Google Play Music Sync

Hi guys,
Quick question... I'm trying to sync music between my note 10.1 2014 and galaxy note 2. I downloaded google play music and I can sync music from my PC to my devices by downloading "music manager" for the PC which uploads them to the server
My question is if I Download a song on my phone can I somehow put it on the google play server so that it syncs to my devices??
....I guess I could copy the song to my computer and then sync it using music manager but that is a lot of steps... Would just like go upload to the server from my note 2

OK, you should setup your sync in a right way so that you could access the SAME content from ANY devices. The source should be store on the cloud so you could access from any devices and from any where. 2 way sync should be used so that when you change/modify/edit from any devices it should update your central source location then sync to all other devices Here how I did mine:
1) On your PC install Google Drive - This will create an offline folder on your PC where it auto sync to your Google drive cloud storage. If you change/modify/add the Google drive on your PC, it will update the Drive on the cloud. For the PC you should allow ALL folders/files to be sync to the cloud.
2) On your device - install "Google Drive" and "Autosync for Google Drive" - On the device, open Autosync for Google Drive and select ONLY folder you want to sync, obviously you don't want to sync other folders, cause you don't need to. In your case, choose Music folder from the Cloud and select 2 way sync. Done
Now if you download songs to your PC, these songs will auto upload to Google Drive (cloud), then sync to ALL of your devices that you configure to sync. Same thing if you download songs to one your device (phone/tablet), it will auto sync to the cloud then again auto sync to your PC and other devices. As you can see your PC and all your devices always in sync, no matter which device you modify or add.

Not a problem, if your music stored on Google drive, if you tab on the song, it will ask which player you want to use (what ever players are installed on your device), of course Google play music is in there, you can install third party player like Poweramp etc... and pick one as default player so next time it won't ask to choose anymore.

Exactly what I want but when I play the songs from Google drive they only play individually and I can't hit "next song" and I can't play the next song unless I exit out of the current
song... Is there a folder somewhere so that rather then using a folder on my drive to sync to, I sync to the google play music folder/server ?
What I like about using google music is that all the songs are displayed at once and I can shuffle through them quickly

Create the playlist on your PC browser or from the Google Play music app and the playlist will sync to all devices. REMEMBER IN ORDER TO PLAY MUSIC AND PLAYLIST you need to upload all your songs to GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC CLOUD, not google drive cloud.
