It can downgrade from China defy+ 2.3.4 directly to 2.2.
also, zip of defy+(red lens) is available from this forum, but this forum crushed today.
Sorry for the dumb question, but can I use it to downgrade my defy, in brazil?
I bought in here. I by my own, hmm.. per say, humbleness, may have flashed it with a higher version of a stock rom from another area.
Would that downgrade my version so I can flash it with a brazil's 2.3 (the current in here)?
I tried to read the site, but I am no chinese speaker, at least no more than google translator is, i guess.
The translator brought me with a quite enigmatic, yet very philosophical non-sense mishmash wich, by all means have deeply touched my soul (not that originally it was a non-sense mishmash, just the translation).

You may have flashed some leaked rom from defy+, please read the sticky topic "[GUIDE] All-in-One Defy Beginner's guide", it has all you want to know. Read the "Installed full Gingerbread SBF and can’t go back to another rom" part of that article.

I've bought in January a desire hd and start silently to a custom rom to take
've ever seen here on the forum but really can not explain how this all I need to start considering I RUU who leaked the latest 2.3.3 with gingerbread
as I understand I must return to then dowgraden retting etc etc
would anyone be so kind to me since these steps to steer but then in dutch because my english is not really good and really understand the steps are not good here in the English description
could someone give me the necessary hulppragrama and the step would mail it to nicky.perdaen @ telenet.be

you want to change your OFFICIAL RUU (froyo sure) for a gingerbread rom no?
is your device rooted? no? take this:

yes somting like that a few day's ago i update my desire hd with the leaked RUU with gingerbread 2.3.3 but i want now try custom rom's
i tryed to downgrade but i stuk in the first cmd section with the problem ("Failed to set prot mask (Inappropriate ioctl for device)")
Hey guys and gals, just a quick query really. I know that Motorola Defy is soon to get the 2.2 update in Europe by the end of Q2, but I saw a post about some German guy who sent his phone to get fixed to Motorola and it came back with 2.3 official on it. Is Defy going to be seeing 2.3 officially?
And also, because I have wanted 2.3 for a while now but only just got the courage up to start modding my defy (I have flashed & rooted many phones before but didn't dare to do it to my contract one, but now I am confident! and have been making steps towards installing cm7 on it).

wipe data+cache then restore a nandroid backup of your 2.2.2 choice and after flash the specific 2.2.2 fixed sfb

I've found a guide how to downgrade my cyanogenmod.
But how can I know, if I installed a Nandroid with a Fixed SBF or the full SBF?
I know that only somebody who doesn't understand a lot of flashing/nandroid/CWM is asking questions like this, but i tried to find something on the web, but I'm so confused.
Does somebody know some good links with explanations how these basics for flashing/modding work?
And is there a smoothly working deblured Froyo version for the Defy?
Or a stock Gingerbread without ADW or Cyanogen?
I liked the CM7, it's just that some basics are missing,which I loved on the stock version (Weather gadget, I did not find a comparable one, or the old Swype, where I still have the window with the selections, not just one row)

Now I have updated rom to 2.2.2 Froyo, then root with SuperOneClick. And what I need to do later ? I download MS2Ginger2.1.zip for green leanse and put it in SD card but with recovery I get an error. Do I need unrar this pack or what ? please help me
Before flashing anything on Defy I strongly recommend to read a bit and understand how the process (flashing) works. A good place to start is the All-in-One Defy Beginner's guide topic. After you read it and you are aware of the risks implied by flashing and you understand how you can do it properly then you are good to go.

Not need to install this version by the zip ....in the paramettre of your telephone you can install it normally
