"The Samsung*Epic 4G Touch*is a triumph of engineering, jamming oh-so-very-much into an oh-so-little frame. What better way to celebrate its wonderous design, than to tear it all down to its constituent parts, and then reassemble it? Thank the guys at*iFixit, because they've already done it --*again. Interesting points include just a single EMI shield --*unlike some competitors*-- which is great news for those looking to emulate a tear-down of their own*Sprint-specific GSII. It could still prove to be a challenge, with both the glass panel and LCD apparently fused to the middle of the phone, meaning a replacement for that sumptuous 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen could prove costly. Click below for a pictorial blow-by-blow of the teardown, let's keep the drooling to a minimum, shall we?"

[Q] Port for Puzzle Piece Lockscreen?

This would be perfect for the EVO..
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G
link to it and screen shots by chance so we know what we are talking about?
Is it the one on the Galaxy S? Where you drag the puzzle piece to a certain location on the screen to unlock or see text messages?
Yea I rooted my friends vibrant and saw that when I was going through some settings and I thought that was great! Wish there was an app that would allow you to switch lock screens quickly.
Swyped from my Evo on steroids.

[Q] Part of the screen can't be touched. Solutions?

So here's the deal.
One day, I dropped my defy "accidentally" inside a water closet. I put it up high in the shelves and suddenly it drops down to the closet.
now the left part of the screen is unable to be touched anymore. as could be seen in the screenshot below. the green areas are the ones that are broken

as this is a surely hardware problem, are there any other solutions than:
a. buy a new LCD screen (hard to find)
b. buy a new phone
thanks for the help guys
bump..........
Sorry
Since it is a hardware problem, I can't think of any other solution besides purchasing another LCD/phone. I'm sorry.
That said, I have put my defy underwater many times. The touch screen stop working when wet, but I had no issues with it once it dried. Maybe the problem was from the impact?

hUH... can't change vibration sensitivity on this SG2 variant?

Kind of weird that the other variants for the SG2 allows for you to change notification vibration (this is just a little too much when on a desk)...
I guess other than that... it kicks my Evo 3d in the teeth and leaves it bloody on the curb.
Yea, I completely agree. When it's on my desk it goes nuts for a few seconds. I actually turned off vibrate while I'm at work because of this exact reason.. Really wish there was a way to adjust this too.
These might be settings that will help

Difference between the super clear LCD screen and amolded....

I just bought the tab 4 and imo, its junk and it's going to be returned as soon as I decide on what I want. I am down to this tablet and the tab s, in which I almost ordered this one until I found out it came with an LCD screen. My question is, how does the screen compare to the amolded screens? One of the major reasons I'm taking the tab 4 back is because of the not so vibrant colors and the pixelated letters in which you have to sometimes squint to read. I'm really sold on this tablet, I just don't want to run into the same issue.
difference
here is small comparison of gamma , colour range , between samsung s4 (AMOLED)and HTC one (LCD)

lcd or amoled for me doesn't make huge difference .
Typically, those looking for more vibrant displays will be better off with AMOLED,
but well built and properly calibrated LCDs may provide a more realistic look.
Choose for your self .
