It ran pretty good better then GB and Froyo launchers. I guess things are looking up for android. Now I'm wondering can 2.4 run on our devices? Ummmmm Hey GB is running on the G1 anything is possible.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App

Im liking the launcher. Just wish you could choose whats on the bottom of screen and whats in that quick app thing on the bottom right.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App

This is the same thing available in the market. It's just an educated guess at what ics will look like.

Wicked! Installing now.

Yeah I was going to say, because certain things like the "Running Apps" multitasking doesn't work right. Also it looks fairly amateurish in general anyway. Good try at this though, the overall job is pretty nice.

thanks..hopefully the final release is more stable

google says anything that is capable of running 2.3 will be able to run ICS. doubt htc and tmo will spend the time to give this phone an official release. keep the fingers cross that cm8 will support us. i'm pretty sure it will. this phone has a pretty big following.

[ROM|BETA]Boden's Custom Stock-MOD+ ROM (OCUV|App2SD+|Sense|ROOT|BUSYBOX)

Hey guys,
This is my first ROM, based on LeeDrOiD 2.2f. It is designed to be a clean ROM, with some additions like OCUV and busybox. This ROM has a good amount of pre-installed apps. Is anyone willing to test this for stability? If I get enough people, I'll upload the ROM tomorrow with some more details.

OFFT TOPIC:
Android 2.3 is very much stable than ics or jb...
That's why many users prefer it...
And most importantly ics and jb don't have the beauty of sense...

this! i currently use stock prerooted GB with sense 1.9. while i do miss some functions from sense 3.5, it's speed is still unmatched, not to mention in comparison to ICS or JB. and yeah, it works!!
Really old....don't see a download so this probably shouldn't be in Dev. Close or move....hmmmm.......move it is.

Sense Flip Clock

Okay, since it seems like the dev of my Rom isn't going to be developing for my Z Rom anymore, I was just wondering if I could somehow put the sense flip clock into a CM7 Rom, like through a flammable zip or whatnot, and I was also wondering where the wallpapers I have are located. Many thanks in advance!

You cant run Sense widgets without Sense....this cannot be done ever! You need the sense framework.
Sorry!
Careful with flammable stuff too. Use at your own risk.

Try /system/customize/resource/. Should be there, not 100% sure long time no sense.
Beautiful widgets is the closest thing to a sense style time/weather app I have found. Not free but worth the small price.
Check with Stoney666. If anyone can make a clock its him. I think the themes and apps forum has clocks for any rom in his thread.

I'm using the Weather and Toggle Widgets...looks very similar to the Sense clock. It doesn't actually flip though. There are also skins for Beautiful Widgets that look pretty close too.
Fancy Widget 1.3.0 (only that version, find apk online) is exactly the same. But, I prefer GO Weather, I only like the Sense one for the wake animations

Beatiful Widgets has some pretty good animations. Great skins also.

Long story short...this dev kangd cm7, stopped halfway thru, got a windows phone but kept telling peeps he was working on this rom. Happened with a couple other items like kernels also. Started something great, then moved on right away. ADD maybe?

Mostly yes.....give it a whirl, see if it works for you. I had it installed before.....think I got rid of it due to battery life though.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I'm definitely loving it the battery life seems to be good. Everything works perfect except for 4 g. And that's definitely not an issue for me since I have no 4 g in my area.

by the way in case anybody wants to know the launcher that I'm using is called holo launcher. It's just like apex and Nova. But you can use it on gingerbread. Ya know I just wish we had more options for EL29 roms and gingerbread roms like this. It runs sooooo smoooth. It would be awsome if a dev picked this up and finished it! I dont think it has a lot left to do either. Refine the kernel for better battery life and add some cyanogen settings that are missing. I wish I could dev.

clock/weather
This is a really cool ROM. I like it a lot. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it develops.
Tried to put my location in for the weather/clock widget. It looks like right now only chinese locations (or locations in chinese) are possible. I tried to apply the Chronus apk to the ROM and got the warning that it couldn't be parsed.

IMO - it looks pretty cool.. would be more for "flashAholics" since most of us cant stay on a single ROM for too long !
nothing feels better than going back to a simple AOSP ROM , and the freshness ! hehehe...
but yeah i would try this
Yeah, that's the thing, I tried a whole buncha ROMs. I mean A LOT. Then, I played with my friend's phone while at work the other day. I managed to convince him to exchange with my N4 for an entire weekend. This thing really grows on you especially the lock screen where Frog did the most ingenuity, its pretty intuitive as to speak. As for the icons for the apps, I think they need better aesthetics and arrangement. They did Blinkfeed even before HTC even tried.
Imagine this on a Nexus 4 hardware, the experience would be fluidity at its peak. Forget butter, I'm talking about industrial strength lubricant.
To me it seems like a modded version of android. As you can see our uses the same messaging app. Looks nice though
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I think the lockscreen would be an interesting change to use, but IMHO, the 'basic-ness' of the desktop screams "CUSTOMIZE ME!" to a mod junkie like myself. It would be a good port if you/me/somebody could figure out how to personalize all the UI aspects, like background, colors, fonts, etc.
