Is there any way to modify these?
I don't have 4g in my area, so I'd like to change 4G to Brightness Control.
It would be really nice if we could change these to settings we want.
Would this require root AND could it be done?
Thread DELETED/Locked??? This is DEVELOPMENT section not Q&A/General!!!!
On that note, I suggest a Q&A forum for the Epic 4g Touch.

this should belong to the general thread... i dont know if it can be done but if it can, then it more than likely will need root.... just my thoughts
sorry.. thought this was a development issue.
It can be done only need A brightness pic to replace the 4g pic, and then change the file that the shortcut opens to the brightness sindow..... but yes I also suggest a qna section

Q&A Section will be created when General has 1000 threads or 10,000 posts - XDA policy.
Moving this to the correct section.

Thanks for the feedback.
Would this require root?
I have root explorer installed but I don't think i can edit files on the root of my device with it.
I'm planning on rooting once the bugs are all worked out.

I had on my Evo an led notification apk that used both leds on it with different colors created by an XDA developer. I just tried applying it to the touch and it told me it is not supported. I know we have 2-3 colors on this phone and would like to see if recreated for this phone. You had options to choose the color it would light up, change between colors and how it would light up either one color, 2 colors, between the two of them, fast or slow. I can email the apk to someone if they want to look at it and see how it was built and worked.
Thanks,
Ian B

Just think if everyone requested one feature and posted in development. How many would that be? I'm not trying to be rude.

I think this belongs in Apps and Themes. with a [Req] next to it.
Whatever, someone can move it to where ever but i think this is a feature everyone here would like rather than the plain red led notification light.
Just my 2cents.

Did you look at the app I posted?

Well, you should have had a bit of common sense first up, and look for a section where you can ask for help. You then search that section to see if your question has already been answered, before posting requests for assistance in a section set aside for people who want to share ROMs and kernels...

I'm sorry but, isn't a general question... well... it's possible this thread are in the bad section, but my question is how to mod the sms.apk, not how disable the notification... i'am not dummy and I CAN read the menu in the phone....
My lastest question is how I can move this thread in an other section?
So odviously is disabled, though im not sure if the dev's have stumbled upon this, but the app or feature file, its in the phone.
Just something that i found its all, delete if its old news lol
Moved into General
@OP: Does NOT belong into the development board
In the future it would be awesome if you could post in the correct sections.

If you have root explorer you can find it in the APK/ODEX versions, i found it by just selecting " what app you want to use for clock" in my Beautiful Widgets... but its odiously unusable. If i try to launch it, it just tells me that its unable to start the app. Meaning.. that its just disabled.. not just removed.. i think.
ah, I see.
not rooted. that explains it
I'm not rooted

You don't have to be rooted I'm not, you can also see it in the application manager, swipe all the way till All apps then scroll to the S's and there it is!
I really like the way the text is for paranoid. The only issue I have with the rom is it is 4.1.2. I have been looking for paranoid 3+ that works with GS3 but cannot find it. Is there another rom that is pretty good that could do the dpi changes and look? I really like that the text is small but not too small that I cannot read the text. I do not have to zoom in. Sorry if this sounds confusing.

The app called ROM Toolbox lets you change DPI on any rooted ROM. Not sure about un-rooted.
That app has a ton of other cool features also, such as boot animation & text manipulation, etc.

I would suggest setting up XPosed (per app dpi framework) on whatever rom you want
I'm having an issue after clean flashing the latest version of MOAR 6.1 after having MOAR 5.01 I'm having an issue that I took a screen shot of that the icons of my notification are not showing up I ran only morphology again, checked through the mod controls, have searched to see if anyone else has had that issue (so people don't start assuming that I'm a noob) and have found no solution. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it

Make sure you don't have them set to transparent in ModControl!
Thanks a lot I see selected a lot that I assumed what it would be and it worked! It's a pleasure to get help from the actual themer of MOAR . I do have another question is there by any chance a way to make transparent notification bars possible through mod control like in kit kat 4.4

Well I've not actaully tried 4.4 yet, so I'm not sure what you are referring to. But the notification panels are transparent, so whatever you have set as your 'pulldown background' will show right through.
Also, I would suggest that you post in the ROM thread if you have any questions. There are a bunch of awesome folks that frequent the thread and can help with nay questions you may have :good: I never split the Q&A from the ROM thread.

I am having a problem with MOAR as well. I love the ROM but my issue is I am using the fancy pants toggles, but they are all green instead of the normal colors I have seen in other screenshots. The green makes it impossible to tell when the toggle is on or off. I have uninstalled and reinstalled MOAR, I have tried changing the theme but no matter which theme or toggles I use, they are always bright green. Any help? I cant post in the regular ROM thread due to my post count.
Thanks!!
Josh
