Hello,
I thought that if you pressed power and the down arrow at the same time it took a screen snapshot. Is that true? If so, how do I access that image?

Hello fellows,
I have question about screenshots in SGS2. How I can take them? Only by special application, connecting it to PC via HDMI cable or another? I was just wondering to take some pictures from Galaxy on Fire 2 and Reckless Racing
Thanks and greetings.
Press Menu and Power at the same time.
shoot me on the market is good too. sometimes i want to take a screenshot while pressing a button and cant with the built in screenshot feature so i use shoot me.

Press both at same time is actually right. You can hold HOME and press POWER and release POWER and stay holding HOME though.
I'm using "screen capture" on the market
here's the link

HOME + POWER works like a charm, no root required, no need to install any additional apps

Hallelujah! I never got that, was pressing both buttons simultaneously which just locked the screen. This works better, though still not every time like on iOS.
Just looking for keystroke to screenshot on the lg optimus g. After extensive google searching, reading the manual, and inquiring with my carriers tech support I have come up empty handed. If anyone knows you're assistance is greatly appreciated.
Volume down + power
From the drop down use quickmemo or the volume rocker when pressed it is like doing both at the same time
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
press the volume down button and the power button at the same time. It was a bit tricky for me at first but after a few attempts it become really easy.
Best way is to hold down the volume rocker. +/- does quick note, from there you can just click save. much easier.

You press the button that take a picture.
I thought booting when holding VolDown along with Power key would take me to Recovery/Bootloader screen, but no, my HTC One just bots up the phone normally.

Yes I was, but I never saw three droids anywhere.
Anyhow, I just tried again for about the twentieth time in the last three says, and succeeded. Thanks!

You need to hold it down until you get to fast boot
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using xda app-developers app
turn off fastbootin settings > power.
I apologise if there has been a thread on this but I have searched and all i could find was about unlocking the carrier.
My problem is that I can't unlock my S3 using the home button, I'm not sure what happened but it just won't work. The button functions perfectly and I can still use the power button, but I have an otterbox and it is rather annoying having to press that button.

10 or 10.1/10.2?
There's a setting directly in cm10.2 for that. Look under Settings > Buttons (in the Device section)
Then you should see "Home button wake" there, make sure it's checked.

Thank you so much !
Hey, guys. On marshmallow OOS we could do screenshots through the power menu.
This option in power menu seems to be gone now in nougat OOS.
So, since 3finger swipe doesnt work in some apps is there any other system integrated way to take screenshots?
Or do i need third party app for it now?
Volume down + power for a few seconds. Hold it too long though (10 sec) and it will shutdown.

You can enable it in 'Gestures' (where you can enable double tap to wake, draw circle for camera etc)
It should be working, (in settings-gestures), or you could get screenshot by pressing power button + volume down button, it always work for me.
