How long should boot up after ROM install typical? - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Installing another ROM from here, everything went fine, but the boot is stuck on the HTC Splash screen. Been there for at least 15 minutes. I know some of these will take a while, but how long is typical, and how long till you figure there is something wrong???
I followed this process to wipe:
Main Screen:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
Advanced:
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Wipe Battery Stats
Mounts and Storage:
Format-
/boot
/system
/datadata
/data
/cache
5. Install Rom from SD Card
6. Reboot and enjoy!
Note: First boot is really long!

It takes about 7 min before u no something is wrong and u have to wipe dalvic cache too listed in the advanced part of clockworkmod
And little advice try to use the latest clockworkmod by updating it in Rom mangaer which can be found in the market (free version) hope I helped

Rom manager is not rom specific. You can update you're recovery using Rom Manager regardless of what rom you have.

New Kingdom Radios?

Hi I've running the Kingdom B1.4 6/23 for a week and works really good for me so far, I just found 4.24 Radios. should I flashed and who I'll do it? I don't want to loose anything I have set up or apps.
Thanks.
If you have good signal, ect, then just stay where you are; if you want to, then download the zip from the radio thread in the dev section, backup, clear cache and dalvik, flash the zip.

You would only lose an address if it were stored on the phone. if your contacts are backed up to google, they'll be there upon sign in. And yes, re-download, do a full wipe, then flash.

You need Odin installed on your PC, and this file I have attached. Turn your phone off, hold down both volume buttons and hook up the USB cable which is already connected to the machine running Odin. Open Odin, and select PDA, find the file you downloaded from this post and select it. Now click start in Odin & violla !
Ahh k will it wipe my data. The reason I asked is since i'm rooted with a stock ROM with clockwork recovery installed,.will I still get ota's.

No it won't wipe your data.
As far as OTAs go, it has to be stock everything.

Hey dvtmg, which root method did you use? Most likely, you have the stock android recovery which will not allow you to do a nandroid backup, or flash roms. You will need a custom recovery (CWM, Rogue, ACS) to begin either of those processes.
I autoroot method

Installing Linaro 10.2

I know this shouldn't necessarily be in this section but I've already PM'd someone and asked on the original thread for help and have gotten no response yet. I understand people may be busy though too. At any rate, can anyone give and exact instructions on how to flash this ROM? They're not in the ROMs OP so...yeah, I'm lost.

Use same fresh install method listed in any of my rom threads... I'm not sure about restoring messages I never do it but system data is usually a no no if you have issues with titanium download super su update your binary with the recovery method then go into titanium preferences and click the back up folder location option and change it from sdcard0 to legacy it will ask you if you want to move your back ups say yes then restart titanium and world will be right again
