Youll need to install chain fire 3d first from the market, but you'll need root for that.
Just an install work make it work you'll need drivers and plug ins I've never gotten it to work without installing those

Well right here you can get the full version of NOVA2 HD, Asphalt 6 HD, and Backstab HD for $0.99 each....
.... However it appears that all gameloft games on the market havent been updated with the epic touch so they say they are not compatible.
With that said you can buy them now for $0.99 and download them later when they fix it.
If someone else knows a temp fix to get these games downloaded please let me know. Thank you.
You can buy it and then call them. They will send you a text to download the games. However, most games close whenever I input my name. Thinking it's DRM related and it is stopping me and not my phone ability to run the app.

Curious why install chainfire 3d? Riptide GP worked well without it. To stay OT though, Riptide GP is definitely a game to show off on the Epic 4G Touch... Reckless Racing 2 isn't bad either.

Normally i use quake3droid at max settings (2048x1024 (i probably got the res wrong) etc) or i use a 3d game such as Guerrilla bob. What do you normally use? What game really shows the power of this phone?

any more? maybe graphics apps?
I presume the true power of the gpu will never be had, as from what I read drivers are poxy and have to use chainfire to sit in the middle to run stuff.
Do you think it will ever run true???
I dunno about using "the power of the phone" but Samurai Vengance II looks nice on the SGS2. Dungeon Defenders would be another good choice if it actually worked.
Angry Bots!!!
Try Angry Bots!!
its only a tech demo right now but it looooks super sweet

Samurai II : Vengeance
N.O.V.A. II
Dungeon Hunter 2
Basically any/most Gameloft games look great!
Zorro: Shadow of Vengeance looks good too.
How are you guys buying nova 2? I have tried the market, Chainfire 3d, and the Gameloft site. None show it available for sale. Am I using Chainfire wrong or something? Not really looking to pirate anything.

Riptide GP
As already stated Gameloft make some nice looking games. My personal faves are:
Galaxy on Fire 2 - Tegra 2 version using Chainfire (sad we need to use Chainfire)
Order & Chaos
Dungeon Defenders
A little off topic - It's pretty sad we so much fragmentation in the Android gaming space with developers signing deals with phone makers/chipsets. Thankfully, we have guys like Chainfire but I can see why Apple mobile gaming may be the future.

Gameloft released a version of Nova 2 which doesn't need Chainfire 3D.
Go to the gameloft site from your mobile - it should be there.

It's not showing on my market, is it region specific or something?
Also can I use it on my phone, not sure if I have tegra or not.
Thanks
edit: Well I don't have tegra in my phone, so can't play riptide, this is a joke. As if Android needs any more fragmentation.....
Managed to do some reading and installed chainfire 3d and the nvidia plugin.
Played riptide and samurai 2, while they are both very different graphical styles I'd have to say samurai looks better in my opinion.
Both lovely looking games though.

Are you running the most updated version of Modern Combat 2? I think they might have updated it once or twice to accommodate new firmware on the SGS2 or something.
You can get Modern Combat 2 HD from the Android Market, its one of the few HD titles Gameloft has ported to the Market, and it works with the SGSII (its where I got mine from, only shows in the Market for compatible devices).
mine is v3.3.0

yep, same here, and of course I noticed after the 15 minutes refund period, so I guess we'll have to wait and see if someone can find a fix...
Or maybe only Tegra 2 is powerful enough to display the shop
hehehe, i'm glad i'm not the only one.. sorry guys
So what could this be? anyone checked logcat?
which games would you say are the best for this phone (paid or free) and which ones would you recommend from this list or not recommend:
dark incursion
backbreaker 2
gta 3
fight game heroes
shadow gun
real racing 2
captain america
Pac man championship edition
assassins creed: altairs chronicles
modern combat 3
shadow guardian
9mm
backstab
spider man total mayhem
splinter cell
?
if you know that any one of these are in fact crap games or if there are some that i haven't mentioned that you think are good then please state so. thanks for the help.
blood and glory and Evac/ Evac hd are very nice games too.
also, what are the best graphical games and why are some gameloft games unavailable for this phone?
Anyone? I did spend some time with that list..
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
wel it depends what kind of games you like but first of all real racing 2 is the best looking race game except no xperia play controls which is to bad. u should try asphalt 6 or fast five, for me the games i really enjoyed on my xperia play are:
gta 3(no explanation needed)
shadow gun(one of the best looking shooter+good controls)
modern combat 3(also good looking shooter but might be hard in multiplayer due controls)
Dead space(survival-horror game, very nice controls and nice graphics)
age of zombies(top down twin-stick shooter, pretty funny)
pes 2012 or fifa 2012 (if u like soccer)
race of champions(good looking race game and its totally free!)
reckless racing(nice top down race game with good controls, reckless racing 2 will be released one of these days)
sacred oddesey(action adventure game with puzzles, like zelda)
riptide GP(good looking jetski race game)
Trial Xtreme 2(fun motorcross game)
triple town(addictive puzzle game when u understand the game)
zenonia 3(nice RPG game)
backstab(really nice game but bit laggy at times)
AirAttack HD(nice looking top down air combat shooter)
guerrilla bob(top down shooter with local multiplayer)
Muffin Knight(nice platformer with local multiplayer)
also u should check out Onlive, its an app that streams pc,xbox360,ps3 games on ur play pretty fun if u have good wifi connection
Real Racing 2 is pretty darn good, but I'm waiting for Xperia play controls .
I didn't know about Dark Incursion but thx for posting it ;P
I can't recommend OnLive enough for the Play tbh
I have onlive, asphalt and the free ea games but in my list above, are there any that I should avoid? Also, when on the game loft website, it said that sacred Odyssey and gangster (the 3d one) were unavailable for this phone.

Also please understand that I really would give thanks but I'm on phone and don't know how.

One of the reasons I ask is that I'm interested in these games and the ones mentioned above but it would cost more than 30 quid! But to be fair, these would probably last me longer than a 30 quid xbox game.

As the title says: what games do you play on your note 3.
I've been looking for excuses to pull out my phone and game but everything now and days on the play store is either freemium garbage or casual games that really doesn't let this beast shine.

I tend to only play 'Hardcore games'. Like the graphically intense ones and online multillayer. Asphalt8, MC4, Anamoly KR, Bladeslinger GTA 3 and Vice City. Pretty much all the Gameloft games. Haha

I purchased the Final Fantasy 4 remake last week right after I picked up the Note 3. I have been playing that almost nonstop. It is a really great port of the original. I also enjoy some space shooting action in Galaxy on Fire 2. Its freemium garbage, but if you don't mind mindless repetitive space battles, there is no need to give them money for credits. I cruise around from solar system to solar system decimating the space pirate population. I really get into it. I also have FPse and use that to emulate a lot of the old PS1 games, not the most graphically impressive, but great fun.
I just started Shadowrun Returns, and i'm not usually a big game player, but i'm loving it so far
Spectral Souls, addictive RPG game and well worth the money. Still haven't beaten it yet.
i love gameloft games, but have not played any yet on the n3
right now i am just playing Clash of Clans, Plants vs Zombies 2, and various emulators

I play Max Payne on the Note 3 and GTA 3...both look beast on the Note 3. Tried to get Batman Arkham to work but it was a no go. :crying:
Bloon TD 5 and Bloon TD Battles. JetPack Joyride because its oddly addictive for me. I have a 2013 Nexus 7 so I usually play games on that and have a ton of them on there. I enjoy Cut the Rope and is great with the S-Pen.
