Hopefully moving to the Epic Touch.

Some of you might remember me from the original Epic and my roms and work there.
I will hopefully be able to switch to the Epic Touch since I've had three replacements on my Nexus S 4G.
Going to try the store today and see what happens.

The zImage shouldn't be that hard to pull..

i dont think they put the epic touch on the wel exchange list yet, at least what my buddy thats a store manager said when i bought this on thursday told me.

Well, I've been asking them to bump my upgrade up and I'll just pay the contract price for whatever device I want. Hopefully, that or I can just give them the cost of the Epic Touch.
I really want to port my ROMs over, and Sense.

Anybody know of the terms of the Sprint Well Program? I hate to drive all the way to a city an hour and a half away and be turned away. The phone has been replaced 3 times in 2 weeks, and the issues noted on the account.

Call them and ask... I would do that first.. Just be really nice and see if that works.. Hope that helps... Glad to see devs already moving to this phone

I've been in constant contact with them for the past 2-3 weeks on the issue, not even looking to get a different phone, just one that works, but now they don't want to do anything for me since I've already had 3 replacements, the phone should 'already work by now'.

This has worked for me before! They let me upgrade early and at a ridiculous price! And every since they forced this upgrade my upgrade eligibility renews every month now lol.

I'm waiting to release at the same time as the Nexus S Sense port.
We are also still working on some WiFi issues, but 3G works.

They have actually offered to buy back my Nexus for $100 and reset my upgrade eligibility so I should be good to go within the next 24-48 hours, hopefully today, so I can reserve an Epic Touch 4G.

Any T-Mobile SGSII members in Vegas??

I will be in Vegas all next week for an automotive trade show (SEMA). Any SGSII lovers out there...hit me up and ill buy a drink. I'm going to have some down time in the evenings.

Just some great news for the nice people here.

This isn't related to the Epic as much as it is to Sprint. I might have mentioned my mom works at Sprint. I live in Kansas City. A lot of people here work for Sprint. But, one of my best friends just got an awesome job there. Product Development and Testing. You all know what that means.

Its easy..... When you have three lines and friends that are clueless on how to use there phone and you use there upgrade. Or by them out right. 600.00 bones is a drop in the hat for some.

This. I got my OG Evo on release day June 3, 2010. Since that day Ive had and Evo, Evo3D, E4Gt and a Skyrocket. lol

That's what I do.
I get people to join sprint, they get my used phone or buy buy it cheap, and I get the latest for the reduced price and what ever I sold my last phone for. Everybody wins here in this case. Although I did buy my EVO 4g full price with a credit card, I can't justify spending 500+ on a phone ill only use for 3 to 6 months.

I live out in independence. I got a buddy who works at sprint but hes tech support. Nice to see some locals on here

Found a broken screen epic 4g touch

Found this on the side of the road. The ESN is bad and the screen is shattered. I posted it under lost and found on CL but no one claimed it "correctly" Just took it down after a month. Whats it worth? It does work 100%.

I guess it's worth its weight as a standalone Android device. With a bad ESN, you won't be hooking it up to the Sprint network. It'll cost to have the screen replaced. You could use it as a media player at home or something, hooked up to your stereo.

You could offer it to a dev so they don't have to brick their own phone when testing releases.

Send it to a dev! I would say give it darchstar so he can use it to speed up his cm9 port but I am sure any of the devs would love to have it.
Does the phone still power on? Is the LCD broken, or just the front glass?
edit: I support giving it to koush for proper clock work mod support as well.

[Q] cracked screen

I cracked my screen and the screen's gone black... It doesnt show any color any light nothing. I have no insurance and idk what to do lol. I went into the sprint store and they were no help they told me to buy an evo 4g lte or buy an iphone 4s. So i was hoping someone on the xda forums could help /: por favor lol. Is it possible to fix this or maybe resell?

Of course its possible to fix, but you gotta buy the parts. And of course you could resell it. If you won't fix it, somebody else will. If you do plan on selling it, I might be interested.

I'm trying to sell it, but where would i get the parts to like fix it? I'd feel so bad selling it to you the way it is now

Go to a different repair center and ask for a one time courtesy replacement. Don't be pushy about it, if they say no, just leave.
If someone comes into my store with a cracked screen no TEP, nice to me, and generally upset, I'll replace it. Only once though, gotta learn your lesson.
