Hello hopefully someone can help me.I have an HTC evo 4g and i'm running cm. but my battery life is poor.10 mins after I remove the charger my battery level drops like 15% without me ever touching it again.i'm coming from a couple of sense roms and the battery level barely moved when my phone wasn't in use.I really like cm7,I want to keep it but my battery is draining too fast. After about an hr i'm at 68%. HELP!

Did you fully wipe before flashing to cyanogenmod ? If you did I would let your phone die. Charge to 100% again. Then I would wipe again and wipe your battery stats. If your using Amon Ra recovery you can go to advance and select Wipe Battery Stats.

Thanks maybe I'll try that. This is kinda off subject but i'm looking at your name and your pic.you look kinda good Are you really from Harlem? Lol

[Q] Miks sense rom terrible battery life

I flashed the latest version of Miks Sense rom and im getting god awful battery life. I charged to 100 percent and within 10-15 minutes I dropped to 90 percent. All i did was scroll around a little and snap 2 photos. My coworker flashed the same rom and he is getting the same thing. Anyone experiencing this or know how to fix it. Right now its dropped 85 percent and ive only taken one call since checking it at 90 percent.
You can't say anything at battery life.until you.have gone through at least 3 charge cycles. Did you wipe battery stats?

First, please excuse my ignorance about this.
You know, normally i wipe battery stats but i dont remember if i did this time. (probably didnt). Should i go ahead and wipe now. Should I let it charge down and wipe. What are the general rules when it comes to wiping battery stats? Also when you say charge cycles, should i let it charge down to a certain point then charge it up to 100?

That was extremely informative. thanks alot.
If you were coming from a SBC kernel, you will always be sorely disappointed by any 2.3.3 sense kernel...
You can just ignore everything above 90% battery unless you do the plug/unplug trick... I miss SBC so much... sniff sniff
i've been running Mikg v3.0 with the stock kernel and v6 supercharger....
loving the battery results... try the battery calibrator included with v6... JMHO
I amon MikG3.0 and battery is great. I was on CM7 previously and battery life was horrible.

Battery life problem!!!!

My wildfire s battery life is very bad.
When fully charged, the phone works for a long time without even 1% drop but when it goes down to 99% then battery began to discharge quickly.
Is there any way to solve this?
HTC is popular for having low battery life so it can't be blamed but
U can underclock it

solution
in my case, I left the phone to discharge and shut off completely. Then, with the last drop of battery juice, I powered it on into CWM recovery and went to advanced -> clear battery stats. Afterwards plug it and charge it to 100% (until the LED turns green), preferably with the phone off.
I know some say it's only a placebo effect, but in my case it makes my 806Mhz overclocked & automatic sync enabled phone to last around 35hours.
You dont want to empty battery in our wfs completely ever
Lition-ion batteries dont like full dischard and they tend to loose juice after that process
Good tip-never discharge your phone so you can't turn him on without charger
My battery life sucks, I think its the quality of HTC batterys, I need to go on eBay and buy a new one
Sent from my HTC_A510c using xda premium
my battery is doing the same, plus it never charges 100%, stops on about 90%, after few hours of charging it gets to about 91
I've never had any real problems with my battery life, but with the CM9 that I'm running as a daily at the moment, it just can hold up a long working day till I get home. Really annoying, but damn I like CM9 to much ! I hope that get's sorted quickly!

Agree with that,its quite correct.
Also guys try this...
-HTC checkin service apk...its a bigeest consumer next to wifi, cell, and display...amongst two top ones.
Do following:download rom toolbox or titanium backup or any similar app
here the links https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkubGliZXJ0eS50b29sYm94Il0.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5rZXJhbWlkYXMuVGl0YW5pdW1CYWNrdXAiXQ..
with this in app manager find that app...long press on it and choose FREEZE (u can unfreeze it later if you want)...also freeze the maps if not using them...etc...just DO NOT MESS with system apps if you dont know what you are doing.
I prefer Romtoolbox cause its all in one app...you can also wipe your battery stats from there as well...great app for root users...try it out
Hope i helped with giving some of you some ideas what can you do amongst other battery tips im sure you all know by now.
Enjoy
Battery calibration
if you use a custom rom you have to calibrate your battery with néma's battery calibration you can find it on the market .my battery last longer since i did it at any rom instalation
@Fikus011
I freezed those two apps with titanium backup.i wil report later about battery life.
Thanx for the info.
@TheKilLapops
I had already use battery calibration
BTW thanx

[Battery Repair] Battery Callibration for Newly Flashed ROMS

Hello guys...I am new to this community as i recently registered to XDA...but i know maybe a bit about our phone Galaxy W GT-i8150....That could prove useful to Starters......
Now...mostly Users have problems with battery when they flash new ROMS....the reason is....their battery stats...for example if a person flashed a new ROM with 60% of battery....the phone will detect 60% as 100% and battery will drain quickly.....but You guys don't need to worry as i have found some ways to rectify this problem....Battery Callibration...yes u need to callibrate your battery in order to get long lasting batteries....there are some ways of doing it...most easy is through an app found in play store....Battery Callibration by NéMa...you just need to charge ur phone at 100%....and go to app and click 'Callibrate' (with charger plugged on!) ...and this will reset ur battery stats....it is recommended (not necessary) to drain out all the battery after callibration and Charge ur phone from 0% to 100% without a gap....
As i am a newbie...so i cannot post outside links...however if anyone needs to get more of it...he/she can PM me at any time and i ll try my best to help...!
I hope this post would prove useful to all of you.....! :good:
I have that app. Never really used it lol what happens if I calibrated it like a 50 wouldn't that mess it up?? So technically it is necessary.. idk lol I'm def no noob but I don't quite understand this app. Batt life seems the same after I calibrate battery (last time I tried)
Anymore info!!?!?!?!

You shouldn't uncharge your battery to 0%.
For calibrate your battery just charge it to 100%, shut down your phone, let it charge to 100% again, go to CWM, advanced, wipe battery stats, before wipe unplug USB cable.
I realize that..I'm just confused about this battery calibration. Doesn't make a difference for me..and yes I agree I never fully discharge me phone. Bad idea
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I don't know about the ROMs the op flashes, but if my battery is at 50% when I flash a new ROM it doesn't go to 100% more like between 47-50%.
Besides the fact that battery calibration has been explained away as a myth, I can also state "calibrating" battery has never increased my battery life.

Do you mean that using all of your battery (till 0% when the phone automatically turns off) is a bad idea?
Why?
Thanks

Yes, it's bad idea, because you have a Lithium-ion battery which as no memory effect.
Read this
Actually this app wipes your battery stats and makes a fresh copy of them...

Well i wrote that for those users who have flashed stock rom and dont have or want CWM recovery...moreover it's just recommended...
And me and other users have experienced that the more roms we flash...the more battery life decreases....anyway if there is a better way...please do let me know...

[Q]Drunk battery?

Hello guys,
You might not know me, but i'm new to the Desire HD forums. I just bought one from a friend and i realy love the device.
Anyway,
I thought i might aswell root it. So after 3 hours, i finally managed to root my Desire HD/ace.
While flashing This Rom, 4EXT recovery said i had 50% battery left.
After flashing, and booting, the Device said that the battery was 95% full?
Is there something wrong with my Radio?
Thanks in advance,
TheRinseM.

Radio has nothing to do with battery (at least as far as spikes; I suppose a more inefficient radio could drain more battery). Did you full wipe before flashing? How old is your battery?
No the flashed ROM's on our Desire HD particularly ICS and JB have a problem with Battery %. Sometimes you can get random falls and a reboot will usually put the % right again. If you charge to 100% overnight then go into recovery and reset battery stats it can help.

Mine has the drunk battery too. I really have no idea what the battery percent really is ever, but it never runs out before getting down to 0% so at least I have some reserve. I have the original battery in mine.

wipe battery stats in recover, I think.
Did not work. Stock and cm10.1 it's the same no matter what I try. I "calibrated" the battery several times. Has no effect. I guess the battery isn't as bad as it first seems because after it gets below reading around 40% it drops slower the lower it gets. 1% will last another half hour screen on time playing a game.

New battery may fix this. I had this jumping around issue a few months ago irrespective of the ROM and it turned out the battery was dying.
My next step is a new battery when I have the money. That's what I think is the problem as well.

1% lasting 1/2 hour screen on is very good what are your battery stats, Mine is about 13 1/2hrs with 30% left using in 3g plus Sync and internet and calls and navigation on AOKP 7/4/13.

With screen on it can go from 100% to 45% in like half an hour or less iv think. Once below 40% it lasts a while. I can get a day out of it moderate use. Should be good once I replace the battery.
