I tried

2. Gingerbread RUU ROM from HTC
3. Downgrade Utility to 2.1
But all the above failed.
The SD CARD is 16GB and has SD-EXT Partition
OS tried : Windows 7 32 Bit and Windows 7 64 bit.
Errors received :
1. Customer ID Error
2. USB Error
Anybody has suggestions for me ?

Customer ID errors usually suggest improper RUU. Try another one.

You need to chill, forum God, and let the mere mortals alone. Quoting Azrienoch doesn't make you cool it makes you something else.

Moving to General

I had some issues running the RUUs on mine - it said my battery was below 30% (even though it was fully charged) and such. The solution was to get an extracted PB99IMG.zip from an RUU and flash that from recovery, which worked fine. Something to keep in mind if you run into a snag.

I used the latest Froyo one, think it ended it 405 or something like that. Can't remember exactly, but it worked a charm.
Ideally I'd avoid the official Gingerbread stuff, it doesn't like being rooted and such.

[Q] Build# 1.82 how to root it?

For the first.. Hi All !!!
I am a new in Android and HTC brand. I have read some materials on this forum, and would like to make sure and clarify some doubts.
I have checked bulid# and it is 1.82 In some thread it was written that rooting needs below 1.72. If I understood well I will need to downgrade it but is it applicable for 1.82 and if it is, what method would you suggest for me (pls indicate any good thread).
Thanks a lot.

I would like to have sure..., to not brick my new, already lovely phony Consider too I am a new in this subject, Android and HTC. I wouldn't like to screw up something.
Use this method here,

How have you managed to perm root / downgrade your 1.82 g2 ?
I have a desire z 1.82 and I'm stuck on the step 11, it won't ask me to apply the update. Previous steps works.
Ok, I had similar problem and it was caused because I hadn't used Goldencard. So for the first lets check this.
Have you checked your CID?
Hi,
I was stuck in Part 3 where I can't SU in adb shell. The return message is Permission Denied.
After much checking, still do no good. need help....thanks in advance.

Now you can flash custom ROMs. If you like stock soft with sense I advice you to try Virtous ,pretty nice ,I'm using it now.
For going into something more custom try CM7 (be aware it is without sense).

It will be moved to the Q&A section where it belongs.
Because you failed to read the rules (see links in my sig).
Because everything is already answered and this has absolutely nothing to do with development...

Gasan ask in the thread I posted, its specifically there for that purpose.
But be prepared for:
a) You need some rudimentary understanding of computers
b) You need to understand that anything like this has the risk of making your phone unusable (bricked)
c) Read the ENTIRE thread before you expect anyone to help when you ask any questions, I know this is a bit of a pain but we all had to do it once and it will get you more insight into the process and less rage from the people who spend all their time writing and coding this stuff.
Thus endeth the lesson
Good luck mate.

Its not that we don't want to help, firstly this is the development section, you do not post questions here, there is a separate forum for that.
Secondly you need to use the search function, there's a lot of guides and info here to help. You should at least go through them before posting blindly.
Lastly, welcome to the forum, enjoy and respect the rules .

well, i see i need to apologize for my first post, i dont want people to think wrong of me,
but most of you know that moment when 2-3 times per weeks a new dev-thread appears, you read it and recognize that it's only a question and not even dev related, so sorry to the OP for my frustrated reaction,
and btw: i wouldnt even use an iphone if i got paid for using it
I have nothing against what you said, but HOW you said it and believe me, it annoys me as well when people are too lazy to use the search function etc.

If it just wifi problem and your bootloader is unlocked, what you need is to fastboot flash the boot.img for 2.09.707.1. If you need the modules too, let me know, I'll make a flashable zip for that.
And 2.09.707.1 RUU is Asia WWE, not Asia SEA WWE.

Kernel "modules" are part of the kernel and will be loaded from the kernel
