I'm using the Synergy RLS1 on my Evo 4G HW-003.
When I'm in the gallery, viewing a single picture - I used to be able to (prior to Synergy) click Menu and choose Share - and then send it to GMail, Facebook, MMS, etc.
With the new Sense gallery on the Synergy package - that's gone. The only place I see it is if I'm viewing all the pictures, and choose Menu > Share, and then check/uncheck the ones I wanna share.
Sometimes, I just want to share that one - is it just me, or is that option gone for good? I *really* miss that option. Having to scroll through hundreds of pics to click one -- sucks.
I realize it isn't Synergy or the team - and the gallery app that came with Sense 2.1/3.0 - but is there some option to enable it? Is this just me?
Nobody? Nobody can tell me if this is the expected behavior, or I have some glitch? The only thing that shows up at the specific picture is the "show it on a map" and "details".
Sometimes, I swear the only "real" help here is a buncha people regurgitating the phrase "wipe your cache twice." - beyond that, it's all deer-in-headlights.

have you tried long-pressing on the individual picture you wish to share? i believe the option should be available that way.
Also, you can always find the old gallery apk and just download and use that one.

Long pressing doesn't work unfortunately. Does anyone have a link for the old gallery pack? Does it work?

I have a couple of questions about LauncherPro Plus that hopefully someone can shed some light on.
First, I noticed when i was using the latest Fresh Rom that when I used the LauncherPro Plus People Widget and clicked one of my contacts a list of options were displayed, including their facebook status. in addition their contact picture was excellent.
I flashed CM6 and reinstalled LauncherPro Plus and the People widget. Right off the back the pictures seemed somewhat blurry and digitized. Furthermore when I clicked the a contact their facebook status didn't appear anymore...only text, email, phone number etc.
So is there a fix or workaround to get the launcherPro widget to work like it do on a sense rom or is it limited?

I could be mistaken, especially since I don't have much experience with Fresh, but it sounds ilke the facebook integration from sense vs the NON integration (segregation?) of facebook in CM.

Well ok..now this is strange! Right after I read your post, I was clicking my contacts on the People Widget and now the fb icon appears. Furthermore some is even showing their fb status.
In AOSP roms, facebook is not as integrated in where on sense based roms it is. It isnt that the widget is broken or not working correctly its just one of the diffrences between AOSP and Sense roms.
as far as the "blurry" pictures I ma not sure on that one but i have seen others report this may be able to search for a fix.

If it's just the Facebook ones you don't want, go into the settings of the facebook app and choose to not sync. Or if you don't want them to show at all go into the preferences of the Contact app.
I would like to sync all the facebook-contacts, but I don't want the facebook-contact-pictures coming with syncing "Facebook for HTC Sense".
the normal facebook app is not synchronising at all.
Open up the Contacts app and go through the settings to disable contact icons. To sync fully with Facebook, just go into the app, go into the settings and select sync all. If this doesn't work, go into Accounts and Sync and manually do it from there instead.

Press the menu button on your Desire and it will bring up a little menu then just select settings. No idea what it's like on InsertCoin but should be still the same. They are there, you just have to find them. But seriously, press menu > settings.

Sorry mate. I know what you mean now. Bloody native Android has it so you can get rid of the contact icon but Sense doesn't. I installed Sense earlier and I can't find anything. Guess you could get a 3rd party app and use that but as far as I can tell, it's not going to happen.

I'm a new GNex owner, and having used other Android overlays such as HTC's Sense, I was wondering if it's possible (if there are any mods possibly?) to do:
- Link Facebook status updates with contacts
- Link Facebook pictures with contacts
If the two above are not possible:
- When setting a 256x256 picture that is good quality as a contact picture, is there a way to have it remain good quality? Every picture I assign contacts looks like crap and pixelated
Adding on:
- Is it possible to create folders in the app drawer?
- Is it possible to change the color of a new message in the text messaging application? When you get a new text it's white instead of light grey, and it's hardly noticeable which conversation is the new one.. is there a way to set the new conversation (in the message inbox overview) to say a light blue that matches the rest of the UI? Or even have a notification beside the message (where it displays all the messages) to let you know which one if the new message?

**Unfortunately this is a problem on Google's end. The servers they use to store contact information on have very low picture resolution. like 96x96 low. Solution: in the account settings, turn off sync google pics or use hacksync

**Neither one of these options are possible unless your rooted. even then I haven't seen a mod for adding folders to the app drawer. It could be out there but I doubt it. There are mods for changing the apperance of the stock msg app but you are limited to whatever the themer wants it to look. (I actually feel the same way about the calender ut so far I haven't seen a good replacement theme for it yet). however, if you want full control to customize your SMS the way you want, you can either download GO SMS or Handcent SMS from the store. Both offer full customization for all aspects of the application.

Alternate SMS apps can surely configure colors.

I downloaded HaxSync and it's awesome! The pictures are good quality and it shows recent activity from my contacts.
I'm going to try an alternative messaging application. If I have two messaging applications open though at the same time (does the stock messaging app run as a background process all the time?), will it slow my phone down?

It will run, and is required to fetch the messages. It won't slow anything down.
Go launcher EX allows you to make folders in the app drawer i believe.
I havent used it for a while but its a really good replacement launcher and has tons of features.
You might like that.

It'll be fine mate, just remember to turn off the notifications in the stock messaging app.

Not at all. Just disable notifications in the stock app and you're good to go with the replacement.
I'm on stock yakju 4.04 and yes, I'm able to create a folder and drag it to my app tray.

And how exactly do you do that?
I am running 4.1.1 Jb. I installed new camera and gallery from 4.1.2. I erased old gallery since the new one works fine. But now when I go to MMS and hit attach icon, the new gallery is not on the list to choose from, and the old one isn't there cause I deleted it. I have to got to gallery and Share now, but I want the option to do it in MMS! Any way I can set what programs I can choose from when I hit attach in mms. I tried clearing and I don't want to change roms.

So wait.. you deleted the stock galery? It's needed for quite a few apps.. I would get it back if I were you.
I'm usin, the 4.1.2 gallery fine. I just lost the option to attach in mms. Every other function is fine. When I click attach (paperclip) icon isn't there. But it's there in Gmail.

When you hit share, do you have a option to copy to SD?
Pics are on my sd. From gallery i can share to MMS. But IN mms when I hit attach gallery icon is not one of them

Oh, completely missunderstood that.
Using the stock messaging app? If so, top right corner, there should be a attach option which brings up a pop up with these options: Pictures, Capture picture, videos, capture videos, etc..
If you're using another messaging app, then Idk
Can someone tell me if their Verizon M9 has the "One Gallery" option? Also, are you able to view the music lyrics with the stock music app. Both are features of the phone but I don't show them on mine.
The One Gallery is selectable by opening the gallery app then hitting the 3 lines (menu) in upper left corner then selecting general settings. It should show One Gallery & event locations options. I don't have the One Gallery option. For the stock music app, i am able to download the lyrics to the songs but there is no option to see them or a tab for the lyrics to show.
I have reached out to HTC & Verizon with no solid answer back yet.

Vzw hasn't enabled the music option at all in the past. You either have to change default.XML to enable it or use sense six toolbox to enable it....neither of which will happen until we we s-off.
Once that happens the music option will be easier.
I know it isn't a stock option, but I have used an app called musixmatch music& lyrics with some success for integrated lyrics. It even works in an overlay format on the normal screen and floats like a FB messenger type deal. It works with google music and other players. It's a good alternative.
Ohh well, verizon isnt supporting the one gallery option at this time...
Thanks to Verizon & their customer service, got my HTC "One Gallery" option on my phone..
I can add my Flickr, facebook & google+ photo accounts to my phones stock gallery & they see constantly updated automatically.

Nevermind, I figured it out.
Install the 'One Gallery' app by 'HTC Research' [play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aiqidii.mercury] and then the option appears in the menu. It would be nice if the documentation mentioned somewhere that another app was necessary to enable that feature within the Gallery.
