I think I've heard a few other people having that same problem with CM7.
Maybe you should ask this in the CM7 thread, the chance of a correct and usable answer will be bigger.
Regards Dousan...
Touchpads don't work in CDMA Plays. Wait until they fix them in your version.
Okay thanks!

As the topics suggests I would like to know the performance of various emulators for Android such as PSX4droid, NDS4droid, Tigerlabs, gba4droid etc. on the Samsung Galaxy SII. If anyone has tried any type of emulator made for android please post your opinions and evaluations below regarding its perfomance, quality, FPSetc below.
Okay Guys Confirmed Emulators working with full speed on the Samsung Galaxy SII
FPSe
n64oid
SNESoid
GameBoid
More coming soon according to developers........
FPSE (psx emulator) - Full Speed with sound. Played Crash bandicoot, and final fantasy 9
n64oid - no lag in mario kart, ocarina of time, golden eye (sound lags at loading sometimes but i think it's a defect in the emulator)

MaBlo you played these after overclocking or before? Has overclocking shown any improvement in emulation for anybody?
where do you get n64oid from, the market?

sorry but it just pisses me off that some people on here assume that everyone is as techy as they are, I've searched in the market and can't find it. My phone is not rooted so don't think you can help me

Its not on the market anymore.
But if you search google for n64oid , you will prob find an apk and then stick that on your phones storage and install.
I dont have it so i don't know where to find it, but if you google you will definatly find it.
btw has anyone tried the sega emulator that went out of development a few months ago on the sg2? How is the emulation on that?
Thanks, I've managed to get N64oid but now struggling to find a good website to download the ROMs, anyone got any good suggestions?

yeah thats xda developers. you know _developers_.
Since switching to CM9 (FX125), FPSE treats the circle button as another back button. It means that playing games in it is nigh impossible; pressing the circle button opens the emulator's menu.
On another thread, someone implied that CM9 might be the reason (because it doesn't use Sony's framework) and suggested modding system/usr/keylayout/keypad-zeus.kl to replace BACK with BUTTON_B. It didn't work for me, but I was wondering if anyone else with this app and running the same rom had encountered this problem, and if so how they fixed it?
Here you go
While I'm grateful for your efforts, that link brings up a 404 error. I then performed a Google search for the file's name and found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667922
...but both of those links no longer work. Strange.

Thats very strange :S
I posted the fix for a guy on the Paranoid Android thread yesterday and it worked fine
This one might work (the link will work but not sure if it will fix the O button issue). Its just a general cm9 rom gamepad fix. Make a nandroid backup before flashing just to be on the safe side. Let me know if it works

Yeah, worked perfect for FPSe, but other games (Trails, Dungeon Defenders etc.) the circle button doesnt work.

Then if that fix doesn't work it would be related to the rom itself not the rom. Known issue that gameloft games are trash on ics so if it affects a major company such as that there may be more. It has to do with the way the game developers implement the controls
Thanks for the info guys. I decided to just edit keypad-zeus.kl anyway to get FPSE working. I'll break other apps in the process, but I'll deal with that then.
I don't think the circle button works with ics on cm9 or any other ics

Just wondering before installing the stable build of Cyanogenmod 9 for Xperia PLay R800i..
How is the compatibility of the gamepad and touchpad of stable CM9 for zeus? (The one released just days ago.)
Are the physical keys functioning properly?
Are the touchpads working properly too?
Thanks in advance!
Touchpads don't work ):

proximity doesn't work, gamepads do, on some games. There is a fix for touchpads floating around which fxp never implied and never will. Also, no actually person from cm works on xperia phones..

Hmm, well on that thread, another member Omnicrash posted flashable zips that supposedly fixes it too! What's the difference between your method and his?
Thanks anyway
It won't work on every software/games, and there's no "perfect" fix for now...

Guys, I'm working on a fix to the touchpads on CM9.
We get very good results until now. Many games of Gameloft, Eletronic Arts, Glu Mobile, Madfinger and Square Enix that offers touchpad support is working with this fix right now.
It's not perfect yet, but we're trying to make as good as possible with tests and work and is the best solution for touchpad compability on the CM9 right now. I'm hope that we'll have a full touchpad support in a very near future.
If someone want to help, testers is always very welcome!
Here is the thread
Hi guys, I'm sure as Xperia Play users you're probably big into emulators, and if you're into those then you probably know about Retroarch. Retroarch Xperia Play support has been broken for several updates now and the team behind it needs help.
I was halfway through RE Nemesis, which ran amazingly on the Play, when I lost support. It hurts!
They need someone with development knowledge to help them out. If I had that knowledge I would do it myself, but the best I can do to help is come from their forum to this Xperia Play community to reach out to another owner.
Somebody please sign up for the Libretro forum and help the team fix Xperia Play support. One of the devs said that "What we need is ONE single developer who happens to own this thing (Xperia Play) that can go through the commits and tell us EXACTLY at what commit Xperia Play controls stopped working."
I cannot post a link due to my new membership, but just google "Libretro Boards"
Do us all a big favor! Thank you!
I am in no way affiliated with Retroarch, I just want it to bloody work on my Play. It's a great emulator and I've used it on my PC, WII, and Play.
I support this, this is the only emu that has UmJammer Lammy and Parappa working flawlessly, and the updates killed that So having to use an older build is the only way sadly.. Unfortunatly im not a dev so i cant help them ><

Yeah, it's odd, R12 (the last working one) refuses to install properly on my system from the APK, so it's new version or nothing.
Someone help Retroarch!
I think this is the best emulator for Xperia Play because you can play psx games in high resolution without lag while other emulators lag in high resolution. Only problem is the broken touchpad that goes crazy.
Last version from the play store works really good if u map buttons manually except for the touchpad. Someone please help them to fix this amazing emulator with the broken touchpad, we need it for our play, we have amazing developers im sure it wont be difficult for someone to fix it ... thanks

Hello, did the touchpad being fixed in newest versions? Coz it looks like mine its still going crazy
Donated an Xperia Play to the team, hopefully they'll have this **** sorted out soon.
well i brought minecraft 0.9 for xperia play finally but i notice theres a bug (i was aware that mojang said there will be new bugs) but this one is gamebreaking. the touchpads are misconfigured. D pad and touchpad up,down and left on left touchpad work but right on left touchpad does not work, the exact opposite on the right touchpad the right does not work and you cant look up or down. i was wondering if anyone else has this issue?

I don't know if you've changed you keymaps yourself already.

I've had the same issues. Hoping that 0.9.1 can fix this (as it's not the only bug as far as I know). I will have to try the above method thought.
