I edited the png file(s) in the SystemUi.apk and attempted to install/replace the .apk file.
After rebooting, I have no status bar.
What is the best way to make my status bar transparent?
I took the original .png file and replaced it with a transparent .png.
Thanks.
I would also like to know how to accomplish this...
Running Fresh Evo 4.2...

btw. after you make those edits, you need to also replace the png with transparent one. Works with Gingerbread, but the guide is directed towards Sense 2.1 Gingerbread.
Helpful as always!

I got permission from Chromium to link his font packs here. They are individual fonts that change the entire font layout on your device. I have tested them and they are confirmed working on the Note 3 running both stock and custom roms. These fonts will actually work on any Android 4+ rom. But as usual if you have any doubt....BACKUP your device before flashing. If you have any more questions please direct them to Chromium by following the link to his post. Enjoy!

All the credit goes to Chromium!!!

Howdy all. I'm wanting to customize a few of the statusbar icons on my M8 (Sprint). Specifically, the battery, bluetooth, WiFi, gps animation, etc.
I will not be messing with the Signal meter or 3G/4G/LTE/Sprint Spark icons. I know that tends to break SMS and triband LTE...though I do have the Disable Sprint SystemUI flag module installed and working.
I've already got the pngs and xmls ready to go. I just need to figure out which APKs they need to be flashed to as I am used to working on Samsung Galaxies which use only framework-res and systemUI (and maybe TWframework-res). Plus 4.4 with Sense 6 presents its own special set of problems modifying/theming the stock rom, so I've read.
Suggestions?

edit. you prolly on sense. wont the xposed statusbar icon module work ?
Yes, I am on Sense 6. Never heard of the Statusbar Icon module. It probably does work. Link to it?
PS: I was told Sense and gravitybox is like mixing gasoline and fire.
the rom your using 1% or 10% battery indicator?
10%. But I didn't think that really mattered. I have xmls ready to change it to a 1%.
just grab a vrtheme zip and place everything needed in it (images must be in correct folder xmls must be recompiled and placed in correct folder) and rezip and flash.
if need be pm me and i'll help you out

I don't think I can use vrtheme as I need to recompile the xmls back into binary first. And APK Multitool is having issues doing that even with the newest version of apktool.
hello mates! need some help of doing mod... just like replacing white background colour to black..
There is no easy answer to this.. It's not really a blanket application you can do.
The most you could do is write an app that searches for a specific color space and changes it to the preferred color, but all APKs are different and written in different languages. You'll have to be specific with each one.
ohh!!
thankss bro

Update apktool bro me too have same I solved
Link is not working
1. Using apktool or any tool that help you decompile apk file.
2. Go to /res/color/colors.xml file and change color code here. Most of the app using background color declared inside this xml file.
