then install this ROM in PDA alone

in the first boot u have to wait for 2-3 min
if u wait and it is still rebooting, then install the stock ROM then instal this ROM on pda

Stuck on bootscreen

i am currenlty using overcome rom based on the GB, can i follow your install steps mentioned or do i need to do something special to remove the overcome first ??

EDIT: i couldn't wait so i flashed it directly on the overcome using odin 1.7, now it is rebooting for first time

I think i do, he removed alot of languages and if the language in swype doesn´t match the one you have set in the phone it doesn´t work

That´s why you should always make a copy of the apps the theme changes

Delete libSwypeCore.so in system/lib and delete swype.apk in system/app
And then copy this over to the same place

Flashing a Kernel with the CWM App works fine so it's not a problem with the CWM App.

It's NOT a CWM package and BTW if you flashed another kernel different from CF-Root you lost the clockworkmod recovery and you have only the cwm.apk on your system but it's pretty useless... can be used only to flash kernel now... try running a backup

For those flashing the wrong theme

Again... if you flashed another kernel (maybe to remove yellow triangle?) You have lost the cwm.
You still have the app but that's the less important part of recovery and pretty useless with another kernel
CF suggests that step for those wanting a rooted stock rom
but stock rom = not cwm recovery

Suggestions if you are taking any.
Yes and if you taken the time and effort to create an odin version, why not put GB bootloaders in it as well instead of making ppl flash XXJVR first and then this if they are coming from Froyo. Might be a good idea to provide a cwm recovery flashable version for ppl who are already on GB rom's. Not everybody is next to the computer when they flash new ROM.

Im working on 3 devices for 3 new ROMs as well i.e i9000,i9100 and p1000
so instead of giving A SINGLE STAR for not making an ODIN version for FROYO ppl u had better to say thank u at least !!!

Installed kernel TalonDEV 0.4.3 ... working great.
I also installed the theme GingerWay BlueOcean (I had to make my own install script to make it work).
Seems to be a little bit laggy, compare to my previous JVQ (Criskelo V77) with same kernel ... I then put lagfix and now it's much better (even if I thought that lagfix was obsolete on newer GB ROMs ...).

Important: this is made for KezraPlanes Optimized Galaxy W Stock V2 ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1438452 . I dont know if it will work with V1 of the ROM without any Issues but its working great on V2.
I personally tested this on my phone (Im using Optimized Galaxy W Stock V2 by Kezra) and I didn't encounter any issues.
Again.. CRT animation is enabled
Please backup your Framework-res.apk, systemUI.apk and settings.apk before flashing the zip.
I will not be responsible if something goes wrong with your phone.. flash at your own risk

just install the zip in recovery and the current theme will be overwritten..

it doesn't work on optimized V1. i have try it and the phone is getting on-off, on-off, on-off...........
btw, the SteelBlue Theme is fantastic. i had it on my Galaxy Mini and have it very missed on my W.

Now i'm trying googling for crack this Sammy proprietary file..what i'm talking about here Bootanimation..they using .qmg file rite? I just ran out of idea when know about this sammy' crap...they just want all of their user staring on that shiny glamorous corporate logo when booting their device..they wanna told us tgat "this is a samsung device".!really..i just annoy with that bootanimation..

Where to copy the .zip file? And did you backup "Framework-res.apk, systemUI.apk and settings.apk"?? One more thing, how do you make it happen? I'm sorry, an indeed noob.

Just go into this directory using file manager that has root privileges like,root explorer,es explorer, etc... copy that file and paste to ur desired directory in sd card.
Framework-res.apk;
/system/framework/
SystemUI-apk;
/system/app/
Just like that...if that answer refer to u question .if not,ignore me..

does it have wifi fix? all jvt roms i have tried had issues : first time i can connect, but after few minutes it drops and gets stuck at "obtaining ip address" ... router log says that "PING-FLOODING flooding attack from WAN (ip) detected" ... any ideas?

Hi, I have just downloaded the files, and there are only one tar file in it, does this belongs to the phone or pdf in Odin3? coz i remember in the past, there are three files, phone, pdf and csc file....
(i have been quite a while without experience on updating firmware, so i probably outdated....)

i actually haven't flash jw4 yet. i am still in XXJPY, i have followed the link to download the official JW4 firmware, but there are only one tar file instead of 3 separate files (Phone, CSC, PDA) as if downlaoded from this post:

follow step by step:
First install xxjvu(3files)>>>>>install xxjw4(1 file)>>>>>install alerson rom (odin or cwm)

Great rom!
Switched fron Gamers v10. Just wiped cash, dalvik and factory reset. All aps restored with Titanium and working. Converted to ext4 with chainfires ext4 app. All working well.
Just noticed that even after instaling black status bar its still gray when in apps (tapatalk for sure) but i can live with that

You didn't had to quote the whole first post.
OP: Awesome to see another ROM. However, I think you already started wrong creating your ROM on the .452 firmware. The 1.58 firmware has a fix for low RAM, which makes the performance even better

The stock widgets doesnt work on 3rd party launchers , thats a feature in JB
