I recently traded in my Arc for a Galaxy S II but I really miss the default calendar app for the Arc. I've tried extracting the firmware but can't find any apk file anywhere.
Is there someone very nice out there that wouldn't mind uploading there apk, On my phone in can be found in /system/app folder.
Thanks to anyone who does this

Thankyou very much, but I can't get it to work. It won't install, and if I push it to the system/app folder it doesn't come up under widgets. Any way to get it to work?
Ur asking a good question, I extracted it from my original rom with root uninstaller dunno if you can install back by this app??
I suspect you are on Cognition.
If this' the case then you have to go to the Cognition thread and download the removed stuff from the first post and push it to /system/app either with Root Explorer or via adb.
If you take the original Samsung widgets from stock ROMs or even from past versions of Cognition itself they shouldn't work as expected...
A bit weird to me but that's the truth...
Hi guys!
Daily briefing on latest odexed JVR is corrupted. I want to share working apk for all gingerbread roms.
How to install:
1) If you're on odexed rom, just delete system/app/infoalarm.apk and infoalarm.odex
1) If you re on deodexed rom, just delete sytem/app/infoalarm.apk
2) Download the infoalarm.apk on attachment and copy it to system/app
It's done.
Maybe this can work on cm7 roms. I didn't try it. I think it works.
Note: You need root explorer or adb shell. You can use ES file explorer - free on market.
Please click thanks button.
Thank you!
Working perfectly on stock ODEX JVR.
I'm on a stock odexed JVR firmware and my phone doesn't have daily briefing, no Infoalarm.apk in /system/app/ .
I'll give this a try.

hi
I have a problem: I have upgraded this JW1 firmware via Kies (XEN), rooted with stock+ kernel and via root explorer I have installed infoalarm.apk in /system/app. deleting the ugly MMMsamsung, Bol and fileindex which are quite useless. I have checked the permissions and the owner in the infoalarm.apk but the software refuses to install, also when I restart the phone, anyone has any idea?
Will this work on ICS?
used to work in JVQ
... but since I flashed JVZ it refuses to install
So after someone very nicely pointed out that they had uploaded the entire contents of their /system/apps folder for the Sony Ericsson Arc HERE I thought I would reciprocate by uploading my whole /system/apps folder from a stock Samsung Galaxy S II.
I've uploaded this for people who a) deleted some of their stock apps and want them back and b) for those with other branded phones who want to try out some of Samsungs stock apps
Anyway heres the link, i've hosted on mediafire cause well they have fast servers and no waiting time.

should mention what version apps they are and from what stock rom as different rom versions have slight version changes

Thank you very much for your hard work. I guess these won't work on a deodexed custom rom right? I am looking for the stock dual clock and calendar (month) widget as these were not included in the custom ROM.
Is there a special way of installing this? I am after dual clock widget but even after installing the apk file, I cannot see the widget.
I'm sure cognition has them uploaded in his forum
Btw it is For kh3 if your using Kg6 use revolution app

Which rom are you using? If its deodexed you won't gain anything from using .odex files.
Hello everyone,
I just got done theming my Note 3 and it looks great. The only thing I don't like about it is that I hate the theme of the messaging app and I want to replace it with the stock messaging apk instead of the new one. Anyone can give me any ideas and how I can go about restoring it to stock messaging while keeping the rest of the theme?
