I found one from ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Middle-Fr...K_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item27bdf5490a
If it goes with sgp glas white will make the fone almost white.
But now Im worry about its quality and is it easy to apply to my fone.
So Is this fone easy to disassemble and assemble it again?
Thanks.

You just take take the screws off the back
use a credit card to pull of your back housing
Remove the Bottom speaker (from the black housing)
clip the bottom speaker onto the new white housing
clip + screw the white housing on
Remember, the item in the ebay listing only replaces the back half of the phone, a thin bezel around the lcd still stays

Can u tell me where to buy the back cover? Is this good quality?
I just took apart my GS2, You unscrew the screws on the back
use a credit card to split open the case
you then have the middle frame that is mentinoed in the ebay listing (white)
the only thing you need to do is remove the bottom Speaker+Mic module from the current middle frame (pull it up from the top)
then put this module into the white case, push the white case back on, put the screws back, and done
I have purchased one, then i can use my phone without case, and just before i sell it i can put the original back on
its actually cheaper than buying SGP cases anyway
Did you have to use any adhesive? Do you have pictures?

wow it looks amazing, I am tempted to put this white case on, Then add the white Glass, and then not use any cases or anything
then just put the stock housing back on when its time to sell ?

Yep, when sell it just put it back in stock very easy and not break your warranty.
That is an awesome mod! Im guessing the silver/chrome bezel in the middle cant be replaced?

You dont need adhesive for this.
About silver/chrome bezel you need to buy white housing for it and I think more difficult to apply than this one.
In my opinion, black line is better than silver/chrome line on the white one.
Thanks. Can you post pictures of the back with the battery & sim removed?
Edit: thanks for uploading new pic!

if you buy this, it includes the extra front housing, however to remove the LCD from the current housing you need a heat gun and you will 90% sure break it,.

So the front of your phone (around the screen) will remain black with this method with the middle frame+back cover, or will it be white like the pictures in the OP?

Yup, the area around the screen will remain black. The only reason the OP's screen is white is because he has a White SGP Glas on the front.
there are black versions available on the website if you dont want to purcahse a white front glas

Bob clock.
I bought this exact one and its soooo easy to install! Just unscrew the 6 or so screws behind the battery cover, run your fingernail around the bezel to loosen the clips and the whole back comes off. Then from your original back take the speaker out ( its just popped in and there's no adhesive or anything holding it in) then clip it into your new white backing then line it up with your phone and clip / screw it back into place and bam your done! It literally took me 2 minutes to do!

ok after more than an hour of taking pictures and editing im finally ready to upload them and be done with this. geeze you cooks must have some patience! my hats off to ya...so here we go...hope this helps atleast one person out there to make it worth my time.
ok to start we are going to need a t6 screwdriver, a prying tool a percision phillips screwdriver. (I ADVISE YOU USE A ANTI-STATIC WRISTBAND TOO)

so flip your dash over, remove the battery cover, take the battery out, and set off to the side. locate the rubber pieces from the picture below and remove them with your prying tool.
this next part is VERY important. note the void sticker over the top of the right screw. by opening your case you void any warrenty that may be active. just use you t6 to remove both of the screw (note they are silver)
now we only have four more screws to remove to get the back panel off, they are circled in red below, use your t6 again here. these screws are black
with all the screws out of the back panel you now need to take your prying tool and put in between the back panel and the chrome piece on the dash, if this is your first time it will be tight. dont be afraid to use a little force. (on the real tight spots is where it latches, that where you need to pry)
now comes the part i found a little different between my two dash's. the one made in china is the one i used in this guide (i have included a picture of the other one to show the differences). go ahead and remove the back panel. on my china dash the wire to the battery thing was NOT connected to the back panel and on my other dash it WAS connected to the back panel.
i didnt circle it but in the second picture you can see a wire going to the back panel and in the first picture you dont see that. in the next step you can see it nice and snug under the connector.
now locate the connection from the picture below and lift it out of the socket. easy to do just use your nail on the end and lift up.
the circled red connector below holds that cabel on, just use your nails and lift straight up on this and set it off to the side. i sat it in the spot on the back panel that it was on with my other dash
with thoes done we move on to the next spot, with again is circled in red below. use your prying tool, as pictured, to open the latch up.
here i used my nails and removed the "cable" by using the two tiny tabs on the side
the next thing we need to disconnect is below. again use your prying tool to open the latch like you did before.
once you have it open use remove the "cable" by using the circled tab
now the we almost have the mobo off. soo use the t6 to remove the screw, this is also a silver screw but, as noted, their is a difference in size.
the last thing holding the mobo on is two clips, and guess what? their pictured below...
\
i just used my nail to hold one back a little and lifted the mobo out and set it aside. ( the picture shows the "front" of it)
the antenna just lifts off, but you dont need to remove it
and this is what you should see now
were now ready to remove that chrome piece, note that the two circled "cables" go THROUGH the chrome piece.
i used the prying tool to remove the chrome piece, it came off really easy. hopefully it does the same for you
and heres a picture showing the "cables" that go through the chrome piece
set the chrome piece off to the side, and were almost done here
now its time to remove that lcd, which is so easly broken for most people. see the circled peice on the back? that grounds it out, just peel it off. and remove the lcd. i just put my hand over it and flipped the phone over. it came right out and i set it off to the side
now we can see the finish line
their are 3 screws to remove to get the keyboard pcb board off. use a percision phillips screwdriver (the one pictured in my first post is just a small phillips, it worked just fine)
set it off to the side and the keypads will just fall out if you turn the phone over
and thats it. i did not include how to remove the jogger bar, i have not done soo, no need to. if you do please take pictures to add to the guide.
please let me know what you think. i have included all the pictures in a zip file, they are a little better quality.
Thanks xDD

I just notice of mine and two of me friends' TP2 ,
the back cover is designed so badly....
it is easily snapped off, even when i just tried to push the power button, me hand pushed the back cover in a way it would open
the snap part of the phone, that is, in the middle of each side, when the back cover snapped, it blows the size in such a way i was afraid it will break, and leave an empty spot. not so sure if this is a defect coz it also there on 2 of me friends'
so, is this a design flaw? or we were just getting bad units?

Hi!
i have the same problem!
my back cover "automatically" open when i do a little pressure on it, and when i close it the upper border-plastic is not at the level of the phone....mmmm
BAD HTC!!!
i wondered if it was only my problem...but probably not!
sorry for bad english, tryed to explain at my best
Hmm very strange. Mine is actually very tight, i had to apply quite a lot of force to make it go off the phone. The photo looks to me as if some of the internal holding clamps are not shifted into place when you closed the phone.

i had exactly the same problem...
the cover went off really easy anche the 2 sides were not in place..
the problem is in the small tooth in the lower side of the rear cover, near the usb port...
it's too tight and prevent the cover from sittin in place..
i just cut away an half millimeter from that small pieceand now the cover is in place firmly

u cut it off? oh man, am i really that brave enough for this expensive phone?

i didn't cut off all the tooth...just a slice...to make is thinner...
i tought about that for a week and finally trying and retrying i took the cutter and did it...
i noticed that if i put in place the rear cover not sliding it, but pushing it in place from the corners, it fited right, but the bottom part could not snap in place because of that piece of plastic...
slicing it down really carefully did allowed the back cover to snap in place
the sides of the cover now are almost in place....the bump is still there but is really not noticeable now...

i gained the bravery lookin at htc online shop....30 euro for a spare back cover.....i decided to try...the worst thing it coul happen is that the cover is loose and i need a spare one....not a big amount of money...
Same problem with my phone.. (Poland) but I am not so brave to cut something that I bought for over 500 euros. I gave it back and waiting for the HTC replay.
Does anybody know if they are concerning it as a product failure and replacing it?
I guess as always it depends 2/3 on your negotiation skills if the manufacturer will consider whatever issue you have as a product failure. So if all you did was opening the cover for inserting a battery and sim and then closing it and it's not closing very well, you shouldn't have any trouble getting a replacement.
I don't have this problem, Mine is very tight....
Likewise, mine is nice cool too.

My cover was very tight (almost too tight...was kinda hard to get off) for the first month, but since yesterday it hasn't been fitting properly.
Kinda hard to tell what is wrong, but might have a look at the 'skimming' suggestion in the thread, although taking a knife to my phone...
Mine is tight too... I was suprised to read in the manual that you have to take the stylus out to remove the cover. No matter i was having issues at first.
Maybe it's time to start reading the damn things.
Mine was fine up until 2 days ago. Now I'm having the loose back cover issue. I cant believe I paid this much for a device and I have to consider modifying the back cover to fit properly.
After examining the inside of the battery cover (where the stylus inserts). I really don't see how not taking out the stylus would damage or bend the back cover when taking it off. Unless, you all see something I don't.

I pulled out my Drimmel tool and just barely cut a tad bit off that piece, I mean just a little bitty bit. Not too much. Now it fits a lot better than it did and it sits flush with the top of the phone like its suppose to. Don't get me wrong it could be tighter, but its not popping loose trying to get it out of its case.
Could you post a photo, maybe in good quality? I want to do same, but I am a little bit affraid... thx
A few weeks ago a member at XDA posted a link to the SGP-Store which sold some vinyl decals for the X10i. Their leather Skin Guard series catched my eye. However they were made for the Japanese X10 (hence the whole with DOCOMO in the back):

}
I emailed the guys at SGP if they could make the skin guard without the "docomo hole" and they responded with: "if you comment during the order you want on without the docomo hole, then you'll receive one without the docomo hole". Thus I ordered two of the skin guards, one white for myself and one black for my father. Within a week the items arrived (from the USA to the Netherlands).
The Skin Guard is very easy to apply. Just make sure the holes at the camera and flash align with the decal, then align the SE logo on the bottom. With 3 points on a line aligned you really can't go wrong. There was a slight problem though. Because of the sharp curvature of the X10 the decal kept going loose at the edges. First I was frustated but then I rembered from putting decals on cars that heating it with a hairdryer could help. Luckely we can remove the backcover of the X10 so I could really get some heat in it. It was like a miracle, no more loose edges !
I'm really pleased with the end result. Yes it looks a bit like a Blackberry Bold. However remember the Blackberry has only a small portion of leather, where the Skin Guard almost covers the whole back. Furthermore this leather idea on electronics is much older than the Blackberry Bold. Some cameras in the eighties actually had this leather stuff on already.
The leather really makes the X10 a lot more grippy (which is more than welcome on the high gloss slippery white version). The vinyl is thin. However it's still noticable, I'll estimate it at a few papers thick. It doesn't cover the whole backcover, a very thin line across the border remains uncovered. This will help you if you get the vinyl on there not 100% straight. The vinyl is pretty durable and easy to clean. It also protects the back of the X10i. So now I don't have to be afraid of scratching that high-gloss back of my white X10i anymore.
Enough with the chitchat, time for some pictures:
As said, I'm really pleased with the end result. It looks great and I don't have to be so carefull with where a lay down my X10 anymore. To be honoust the skin does look better on the black phone, because there is less color difference between the black phone and the vinyl (black leather vs. flat black rubber) is less than between the white phone and the vinyl (white leather vs. high gloss white). The leather is a bit more white than the X10 is. Nevertheless it still looks pretty sweet
Looks very nice.. so it's not a replacement cover? You have to order the leather part and stick it onto the stock battery cover that we have on our phones?
If so, I would probably get another battery cover on ebay or something and then order this or something.

Yes it's just a sticker, like a screenprotector, but then a leather one. It won't leave any residue (I had to realign it a few times). So you can just paste it on your stock battery cover. Remember to comment that you don't want to have the DOCOMO hole when ordering!

Yup, ordered one too but didn't mention to cut out the docomo since i ordered through amazon. I'll just cut out the docomo so i can see the sony ericson or something, might put a spare clear protector over just that area to make it a window. Will post pictures when I get it
I got one for a month or two now, its white and now its getting pretty dirty. Its a bit tattered now but I'll try to get some pics of it.
^ That looks HORRIBLE. It doesn't fit the back at all.
I just ordered one but it's for the actual x10, not the DOCOMO version:
Hopefully this one fits better then the above poster's.
Also, to the people who bought this, did you recieve the "Steinheil Crystal Screen Protector" with the product? It says it also ships one out with the package, and it's supposed to be the best screen protector you can buy.

They didn't offer a real X10 version when I ordered it. Looks like they finally decided to correct their 'mistake'.
About how well the skin fits, the skin is actually a bit flexible. So just align the camera and flash hole, then pull it gently to align the lower SE 'orbit'.
Good luck!
The moment I get some cash I'm gunna get one... damn that looks nice,
How is it for scratches?

just got mine, it fits quite nicely... I didn't need to stretch it or anything, it's just a little smaller than the battery cover...
I'm sending the pictures of my phone with it, don't crucify me for the quality, I'm not the best photographer in the world...
also it was really easy to install, in the first attempt I got it right...
good luck with yours...
Happy owner of a "leatherized" x10...
With my old Atrix, you could easily scratch off the ugly ATT logo on the back cover.
Has anyone dared/attempted to scratch off or rub off the Samsung logo on the back battery cover? I know that its embossed in, but would be nice to remove the white paint.
Anyone brave enough?
I had the atrix for 31 days, hated it but the logos were very easy to scratch off, the HD on under the camera actually came off by itself but you should be able to remove the Samsung logo by using and acidic substance with a dish cloth. A good substance I could think of is goo gone which is used for getting everything from sticker residue off the table to crayon on the wall, you can get it at any hardware store

I'm big on leaving my devices looking like they are brand new out of the box, so I cringe at a post like this!
But if you really want to do this, I recommend getting an extra back cover to mess with.
I agree with Raibyn, both that I like the way that the Samsung logo is as it doesn't make the device look as "plain" and you should look into getting another cover. I'm just ready for people to start making custon covers like carbon fiber of soft touch plastic

I forget where I saw it, but apparently sugar cubes are great for removing logos without leaving scratches. Just rub the corner of the cube against what you are trying to remove like an eraser.

Interesting. I wonder if that actually works.
I remember reading that too, try it out

I just want one with ONLY the Google logo on it. haha
I think I might try it, then my phone would have no logos at all.

LOL my exact reaction
I had never once scratched or harmed any phone I own. New Years Eve this year changed that. She fell out of my pocket into the gravel and got walked on. The screen protector and lots of luck saved the front. The back for the extended battery got all scratched up. You inspired me to experiment. The original battery cover fits fine over the extended battery so that is what I am using now. I just shot a coat of textured paint over the extended (scratched) back. I will post pics when it is dry and installed but it looks promising. Plus it adds a great grippy texture for my big chubby hands.

id wait to see if your 100% on keeping the phone and 100% on not trading it in for another galaxy nexus before doing this.
Well, the back was all scratched anyway and they are only $5. Besides, there is no way this phone is going back, I love it! The pic on the left has the extended battery installed with the original back on the phone and the extended back painted. The right pic is the extended back on the phone with the original back next to it. I love it, feels like fine grit sandpaper. It's a nice feel in your palm. This is the paint I used http://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-223525-Multi-Color-Textured-12-Ounce/dp/B000N3C6EM
I tried removing the Verizon 4G logo off of my spare cover with goo gone, didn't work.
Would a magic eraser work?

Wow. What other damage? I'm amazed the screen didn't get crushed. I maybe would have taped over the Samsung logo but looks cool.

I dropped mine on NYE too! Can't believe I've got two chips in it but not as bad as what happened to yours by the sounds of it. I was lucky!
use acetone or mineral spirits, should remove everything on case

Acetone may melt the plastic. I would be careful using it, even if it is just "nail polish remover" it is still an acid.

That doesn't look comfortable to hold...
Hi guys! I just want to hear your thought on what i'm planning to do.... so i have this awesome galaxy s2 phone but my problem is that it's started peeling off around the bezel and now it looks like crap unless i use a case that covers it all. so i've been googling around and found out that some people sanded their white s2's and it looked black! so my question is when i sand it down will it look black underneath or will it be metallic color? i want it black tho.... has anybody done it? i've already looked into replacing the bezel but it's gonna cost alot where i live which is Belarus...
so what is your take on this? should i sand it down to make it look some what nice or should i just leave it as it is and deal with it until i get a new phone? Thanks in advance for any input.
You can probably paint it yourself if you sand it down first. So you could have any colour you'd like!
Just be careful with the face buttons I suppose.
I heard that people jump off cliffs with wings strapped to their arms, doesnt mean its a good idea.
Save your money and replace it properly. Are you talking about the rear of the phone? that surrounds the backplate (the bezel), or are you talking the front of the phone which is glass :S A replacement bezel for the rear costs very little and ordered from china they deliver anywhere, even belarus.
there is the rear housing

the middle housing
and then the front..
Hi! sorry for late response....i'm talking about front ..... i would have bought and replaced everything my self but i was told that it's not easy as the touchscreen is glued to the bezel? i have no idea if that's true but it sounds kind of complicated to me
look at the attachment to see how my phone looks (not an actual photo but it's the same)

The front comprises 2 sections, its a glass sheet that is over the top, and then the Amoled/digitizer/touchscreen is under that. The glass however is glued to the digitizer.
The glass replacement is fairly inexpensive, but it involves heating the glass to release the glue that attaches it to the amoled, and then you have to reglue the new glass panel on top.
Basically what you are looking for is:
costs about $10-$15 on ebay.
But no, sanding down the GLASS would not be a good idea..

ok cool. thanks for help. i'll go out tomorrow at the local market to look for this glass tho and perhaps some1 who can replace it coz i'm afraid of f**ing it up!
hmmmm are you sure it's the glass that i have to replace? have u look at the pic that i posted? i'm might be wrong and forgive me if i am but i don't think it's glass that has worn out furthermore buying it would be a waste of money?

Not sure about white S2, but I assume you are talking about sanding a plastic case, right? The bezel on S2 is actually made of metal, so by sanding it you will expose a bare metal surface and obviously get a silver metallic colour. I am pretty sure there are ways to make it black by chemical treatment (after removing the bezel from casing, of course), but you'll have to do some research on this...
Oh, and you are right - your issue has nothing to do with the glass replacement...
Ok, reality check.
Its just some very minor plaint flaking.
if its under warranty, RMA it. If it it isnt see what Samsung would do for you.
if your not already using one, you should be using a case that will cover the bezel...!!!

ok, now im finally with you, its the full front bezel you want to replace.
like so
in which case i wouldnt bother.
As stated about, sanding it down will just give you silver metal. (where its worn the fact its silver underneath should have been a giveaway)
Replacing the bevel is a lot of work and involves removing the screen/glass etc.
Easiest way is either
a) just buy a cheap case for it, that will protect everything
or
b) if you really dont want to put it in a case just get some enamel paint (a little airfix or humbrol paint) and just touch it up with a tiny spot.
Or
C) buy new phone

this has got me wondering about the 2000mah battery and the case wont fit problems. Wonder if i can sand a mm or so off the back of the battery.
Just to add to the thread for future reference.
There are two layers that chip. The first one exposes a silver paint and then that comes off and exposes black plastic. So I guess it can be sanded. I'm considering doing that.

Its doable but you need to be cautious not to scratch the screen, ive done it my self and some other people. Check this thread.
My black S2 looks pretty good. Don't really like the white one tbh.
try it for my white s2 and it look pretty good again thank u for the idea
it cost me only 3$ (sandpaper p220+Adhesive tape to protect other unwanted area+ changing my screen protector)
look the result and sorry for my english
Instead if sanding down chrome bezel, do you his think there is another option to strip the chrome off? Mine is chipped and I don't think I could sand it down. I like to take if the chrome completely off the bezel. I an able to scrap off the chrome with my finger nails but it us not clean. What do you guys think? Any idea with be appreciated.

How about use a black nail polish and paint it over the chipped part?

Hi mate,
In my opinion, never do such a task that u do not have any experience in.
And the risk is rather high of ruining ur phone.
Just buy a good case untill u get the accesory from anywhere.
In india we can get the whole body (including front panel, glass, back panels and battery cover included) in 40-50 $(apprx 2500rs)
So just buy a case till u get a better solution regarding the scratches.
If u get a chance, go for the white body..as my white s2's frame does not seem to chip off.

Not to late I suppose
If it's not too late I have better idea which I did myself. The area where the bezel has come of can be blackened by using cotton and nail polish remover. What it does is, the nail polish remover spreads the black colour from the sides and now the metallic part is not visible! In short you are doing painting with nail polish remover. Just give it a try!
What it does is removes the chrome and reveals the black part which is under the chrome.
