I'm appreciating the work put into the Sense 3.5 ROM (here) but it seems that the true visual differences of Sense 3.5 are quick launch and clock and maybe a few other widgets (Note, FB Chat).
Could it work to pull those widgets/apps into Sense 3.0 until a 3.5 ROM is fully developed?
Was just about to ask this. i even like the phone/app drawer icons better than the arch. hopefully this can be done. i was looking around in the files but not a dev so dont know how to go about it.
this would be so cool. Im a noob so i took the applciation out of the 3.5rom and put it on the 3.0 rom and no go.. hopefully there is a way..

I just installed the Amethyst gingerbread port... wow. It is so amazingly quick and responsive.. and some of the features are amazing.. I particularly like the music player.
but I miss the Sense experience.
so does anyone know of a *great* theme going round that offers a decent looking clock and weather widget? I'd rather avoid paying, but I will if necessary.

It's a direct copy of the HTC clock/weather widget that was removed from the Market. It was always free so I'm not breaking any rules posting this, btw

oh thought of something.. do you know of any htc widgets floating around on the net?
LauncherPro has some sense-like widgets but in full version only.
Sense widgets, funnily enough, only work with Sense
I really miss the 2D Sense gallery, manual focus from Sense Camera and HTC Facebook sync...
This features make me always come back to Sense (HD)...
How can I add widget/shortcuts to sense 3 lockscreen, or is this not possible yet? Flashed sense 3.0 lockscreen from leedroid 3.01 ROM.

I haven't really received any responses when i asked but i think these are the things you get:
The Ring Unlock
A new music control widget (when music player is active)
A different look when you have an alarm (you have to drag the ring onto snooze or dismiss)
SMS/Missed Call notification
I don't think any customization is possible with the version you can download at the moment (correct me if im wrong)
Yeah all that is right. I thought I could customize it to show apps that I could then open straight from the lockscreen. Guess that is coming later on?

well that's really the cool feature i was hoping for when installing it. Sadly this is not implemented yet.
I'm not even sure where these Sense 3.0 Rom parts came from. Are they from the leaked Sensation ROM and resized for the DHD? That would mean, that the leaked ROM didn't have the customization feature either (or it's in another file which isn't included in the download for the 3.0 lockscreen).
I'm just rambling here, i don't really know much about these things
The leaked lockscreen everyone is using in their ROMs is not from the Sensation but rather from the Espresso leak (because the resolution was correct), which doesn't have the feature to add widgets to the lockscreen.
The devs are still working on resizing the Sensation ROM.
Hi! Its probably ridiculus to ask wether it is possible to get the beautiful weather lockscreen (Sense 3.0) ported to Sense 2.1?
I tried Capys Kingdom Rom v.0.2 and it is great, but there are still to many things which do not work right for me. So i switched back to RCMixHD6.1.0.1.
But I really miss this great weather lockscreen with its 3D animation.
Does anybody know?

I'm trying to get my phone to have the Sense notes widget work on it. I have two versions of the .apk 1.5 and 2.5 i think and obviously I can't get the widget to show in the widgets list.
Is there a work around or am i just porked?

What ROM are you trying to put it onto?
OMFGB 1.3 it's an aosp type. Sense widgets just don't work on them do they?
No they do not. I believe launcherpro has some sense like widgets, not sure about the notes one though.
Sense widget are not compatible with ASOP Roms because they do not have the sense framework.

I love roms,I am always flashing new ones but I have an idea and I need help getting it.So I like sense but love gingerbread,the thing i love about sense is the lock screen where i can drag the apps to the bubble.Thats pretty much it,so I want to have gingerbread as my actual home screen,app screen,and for my keyboard.I know this sounds pretty crazy but can anyone help me find a rom or apps that can help my obtain this.Answers to this quetion would be very appreciated

Agile lock from the market is a nice sense 3.0 lockscreen clone. Its still inferior as the software is a little edgy and there aren't any sms previews like the sense 3.0 one has. I currently use this with CM7 along with sms popup from the market and it works great.
Otherwise download a stable sense rom with the sense 3.0 lockscreen (Nils Gingersense, Synergy) and use a different launcher.
There's also SupraROM which is an AOSP Sense 3.0 mix, but I'm not sure if it has the sense lockscreen.

I know when I ran MIUI about a month ago there was a Sense ring lockscreen you could install in Theme Manager. The downside was I couldn't figure out how to pick what apps other than the ones it gave you. Maybe that's changed, not sure there.

Ah right, I forgot about this option.
I do believe that they can be changed. You have to edit a text file though so its not as easy as HTC makes it. There's a MIUI lockscreen thread with a few of those sense ring lockscreen alternatives. However they all have one thing in common: when releasing the ring, the screen immediately unlocks. No cool "fly through the ring" effect.

Div033 is correct on the MIUI sense 3.0 lockscreens, they look pretty much identical but lack the fancy animation.

By gingerbread, do you mean the stock AOSP look? Because if so, you could use agile lock on CM7, like has already been mentioned, or maybe try the synergy rom with the warm theme. It has the sense 3.0 lockscreen but is themed with quite a few AOSP gingerbread elements.
