Use Widgetsoid, it rules.
They're pretty much exactly the same. It still doesn't switch GPS ON/OFF directly.

Just wondering if anyone has tried any Bluetooth keyboards and if so what models

I tried the Apple Bluetooth keyboard and it worked without any problems.

Actually, for some reason, the gmail button doesnt work :-/ But the other back, home, browser, etc buttons work
Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and keyboard both work. I'm going to play around with the keyboard layout files and see if I can improve it but it works as is.
I've tried to connect my microsoft keyboard and it doesn't get seen, did you do anything specific to get it to connect?

Any specific ms models? I'm going to my local best buy in the morning... doubt they will have accessories but I'll see... I may end up with a xoom keyboard or a genuine sammy kyb if they have them in stock tomorrow...
Freedom Pro keyboard works
I decided not to link all the threads I found for bluetooth devices... A conservative count would put the number of bluetooth device threads at about 1:12... that's pretty good odds that you did not search, let alone read before posting.
Just a thought. BTW, it helps to put a topic in the thread title.
What's your single most favourite feature of the Galaxy Nexus or Ice Cream Sandwich?
Mine has to be Face Unlock. It works brilliantly and it doesn't seem to be fooled by pictures of me which is great!
I only have one issue with it being that sometimes I get a message stating "Couldn't find your face" but then when I turn the screen off and back on Face Unlock immediately unlocks the phone after identifying me. Has anyone else had this minor issue?
Hardware acceleration. Finally. And the bigger screen without a humongous phone attached to it.

I just wanted to add that I have noticed this EXACT behavior. It does not happen all the time, but often enough to notice. The lighting is good and my face is clear, but I get "Couldn't find your face" message. Without moving the phone or changing the angle I just turn the screen off and then back on... and it instantly unlocks.
I can't be certain, but I think it has something to do with the phone being dormant for a while... when I come back to the phone I see this issue, but if I am using it often then it does not happen as much. I'm wondering if it has to do with a memory issue or something. Perhaps the Face Unlock feature is not actively in memory and it takes some time... and then just times out the first time.
There's a subtle feature that I read about in the user guide for the GNex, and it's one that I really like - When you are connected to a WiFI network, ICS will monitor your signal and reliability. If the network you are on is very unreliable or has a very poor signal, the phone will disconnect from it in order to use your 3G/4G signal instead.
When I leave work, this used to be a problem, as my HTC Incredible would hang on to the poor WiFi signal from the building, and I'd have to turn WiFi off in order to do anything network related. Now, the phone disconnects from the WiFi long before I even have to think about there being a problem.

Having a settings shortcut in the notification bar.
Runner up would be the goofy effects in the camera. Great way to pass time.
Screen and design.
Being able to swipe away notifications individually, as sometimes I like to keep reminders in the notification bar if I'm running late on a task, but don't need other stuff like the market update notifier.

I love the whole swipe to delete in general. I love the usability of ICS. Everything is so crisp fast and intuitive.
Scrolling. That's it. Being able to scroll, flick, etc. without having to guess what the phone is actually doing after an input is paramount. That was my biggest issue with gingerbread and I'm glad they've tweaked it in ICS.
i also like the animation from vertical to horizontal and vice versa, very matrix like

+1 this.
However I love the redesigned core apps. Messaging, People, Dialer, etc. These look clean, perform so efficiently, and make using 3rd party apps a stupid thing to do.
Oh! And the ability to increase font size universally in the settings. My grandpa is jealous of this.

I like the soft key buttons, led notification, and beautiful HD screen.
Everything else is more or less the same. I like the settings quick shortcut in the drop down menu also. Feels good in hand too.
LTE EX Galaxy Nexus - AOSP KANG
Asus Transformer - 3.2.1 OC/UV
I like the improvements to the browser, Gmail, and Email apps.
I really do like the Gmail apps too. I also like the fact it is used for dual core

I like to automatize almost everything around me, but by self technology, turn on/off lights, stereos, curtains, home security system (home made) well almost everything that works with electricity, but not only that i do it with a microcontroler board based on dspics and bluetooth modems i designed and developed myself
Until now I use my own software visual. Net based and my own UI, and if I want to access and control the mainboard to modify any settings i got to connect to my comp via wifi/internet but i want something more cool, so i was looking forward to develop android apps that i could manage my dsp main board directly vía bluetooth, I installed sdk a. D all the android stuff following android developer official Google site, but i can not even make the thing run the Hello world program, they skip/asume pro java developers and im new to it.. Does any of you could give me a noob /starter guide.. For android apps dev

When ever u build this I would love to get a copy of it sounds interesting
for me, by me and I love you
You just have search tutorials on Google. That helped me get over the hump.
Haha ok no problems i plan to put all my apps for free in the Play store and sell the hardware for controling everything vía bluetooth with your phone xD

Hello!
HTC car app on Sense 4.0 is awesome, though the choice of apps linked on the homescreen is very limited.
Apart GPS location apps, we can't replace let's say Radio app with video player.
I am calling any XDA dev, modder and tweaker to work in a way to make this Car app customisable to replace radio link with any other link.
I am not a Linux programer but I think once we find the xml or smali file responsible for ''links to app'',it will be easy then.
Welcome to the WIP!
I'd be happy to donate a beer or 10 for the one that would make this. Especially being able to use Navigon on it instead of Locations or gMaps

Hmmm maybe locating the XML file that indicates which buttons open which apps. Ya know like creating a shortcut in windows? Find the line and replace it with the location of the app you want to open? Maybe?

Any news?
I also would like to being able to use Navigon on it instead of Locations or gMaps.
Or do you now an alternative app? All the apps that I found where sooo ugly.

That´s possible with Team PkMn Tweaks.
It still shows GoogleNav @ CarDock, but u can set in the Tweaks a Custom (Navigation)App to start when clicking on GoogleNav-Icon.

And what about default music player?

Thanks for Pkm team!
Though I would suggest using the radio shortcut instead of the navigation to use custom apps like video player
Is this custom HTC car home available separate anywhere so it can be used with a different rom?
It's in the tweaks of the Charmandar 5.0 rom only, I hope pokemon team will share their sources for other roms

Oh well never mind . I might give the Charmandar rom a go after its next update.
I´m using "Car Dashboard" from PlayStore, because only change Navigation in HTC CarDock is too less for me
U can set that Car Dashboard starts the Car-Mode, starts/stops BT when inserted/took out CarDock and configure up to 20 Apps (on 5 "Screens")

I have tried that app before. It is very good but I have a bluetooth module wired to my stereo and I use it for music streaming. The HTC car music player is excellent to use whilst driving because it is so finger friendly. I have copilot though and all i want is a way of launching that.
Hi,
There is any place to get those tweaks to other rom?/moded apk?
I got so used to locations in jelly bam but I found a new rom I like only thing missing is I can't control everything with a click of a button. Locations.
Like you click home (it turns on ur wifi turns off ur bluetooth it turns on off your sounds... it was a cool function and I miss it. I looked around and I can't find anything that is as good,.... so before I just go back to it is there maybe a addon I can add to AOKP
No on that + do you ever search or do you just prefer to make a thread for every problem you encounter?
