This looks awesome for a CM build.
Maybe you could port some of these features to a JVR ROM?
Good idea
Thanks man
Is this stable?
well if it UNOFFICIAL and UNSUPPORTED can you enable or add callrecord option?

Hi doixanh,
I'm currently on Insanity and my phone works extremely stable, I probably not giving it up, might give your rom a try later. However, I noticed you have the theme 'A Theme Lite" which looks pretty darn professional, just looked it up on google and found it here, but it claims only works on 320x480 devices.
Would you mind sharing the tweaked version like the one you got in the screenshot?

Hi VNese fellow,
A-Theme (Lite) is made by a very good X8 designer, AChep. You may want to ask him for a HDPI version. I don't know if he will make it or not.
The screenshot is made with X8, there is no A-Theme for GT-I9000.

Kernel and Custom Carrier Text
What kernel is in this ROm, stock CM7? also, how did you get the custom carrier text to work with cm7, mind sharing?

Welcome doixanh to the SGS forum.
It's always nice to see new developers (not in experience) and new roms to sgs forum
I just installed your rom.
I noticed these:
I can call others can't call me (showing busy).Tried all the possible solutions.
The phone doesn't lock
The htc ime keyboard fcing all the time
I started with a clean installation(wipe all)
Waiting for updates
Liked very much your GingerDXsettings although i couldn't test them
EDIT:IN power button menu you should disable the xrecovery
EDIT2:Smart dial supports only the first 3 numbers
I am author A-Theme ( Full / Lite ). I don't have HDPI device. So, if i'll buy HDPI device (you can help me ) i'll adapt all my themes
It is great to see new modded roms for CM7. I used to own a HTC Magic and there used to be quite a few there. One of the best features you added here is the smart dialer since the i9000 does not have the search button like the Nexus S for example.
I am downloading this and will give it a go. I was wondering what CM7 soure do you base you work on (like do you always build with the latest code that gets approved in gerrit) and do you use the standard Kernel or a modified version?
Still awesome to see new CM7 based roms for us.

It's time for a change...I think some might like the changes others might not..
I've created an App. (it's my first one so no laughing!!!)
It contains the same options you know and love and a couple of new ones!!!
The idea of creating an App is to cut down on the number of files I have to tinker with each week. It was taking too much time. This way I only have to modify the SystemUI.apk and the Launcher2.apk and I'm done.
Those users who couldn't use this Mod because of the changes to services.jar should now be fine..
Couple of things to note..
The option to Hide the Debug Icon is missing. I'm trying to work out a way of hiding the icon without modifying services.jar
If you change the battery Top Bar you might notice a delay of a few seconds before it updates.. (Just me being Lazy)
The Auto Close feature is now standard with the Launcher so the option to enable it is no longer needed.
There are three version
ESCenter - Center Clock Version
ESSwitched - Center Clock, Notification and signal icons switched.
ESRight - Standard version with clock on the right as normal.

i strong heartedly disagree with the above poster. I'm on MIUI atm, and I get one full day of use out of my SGS, with HSDPA enabled /always connected, lots and lots of browsing, phone calls, sms, yahoo and whatsapp messenger online almost 24/7, some games, some BT transfers and some Wifi.
then again, I do know how to customize my SGS with black themes and various other settings to extend battery life...btw, no underclocking or undervolting..
no way you're gonna get the same level of polish and the same experience on Eclair..
just my 2 cents...
cheers!

I would have to also tell you, yea there is...
Just because there are people like yourself who extremly are satisfied with it and consider it a top rom, doesn't mean everyone see it in the same light.
I stuck with MIUI with every version from 3 to the latest 5.3, it was my first ever custom rom, and as much as I wanted to like it I finnaly decided to give up on it for the foreseeable future. Even for someone who tried to like it was biased toward it it is more a gimmick rom for entertainment, than proper sgs rom you'd consider serious. Even tried to get my friends on it while I was on it, everyone hated it.
In my opinion it has great potential, but its still in its infancy. It is way to rough and misguided to be a good solid rom. Even going to a base 2.2 rom just rooted and lagfixed beats MIUI in almost every aspect. I finnaly don't feel like breaking my phone again. Almost every aspect of MIUI is different, which is where the appeal comes from, but somehow the difference is rarely for the better and it manages never to be as good even an original rom in terms of usability. At the moment I would consider it the poorest choice out of the the popular roms.
Since you will probably ask, the biggest downfalls off the top of my head I had with MIUI is unrelenting and completely unsolvable battery drain issues. This alone makes the rom not worth taking seriously. Calendar, the way you set your alarm, messaging, contacts etc, having to press double or more buttons to get to particular areas the stock phone does in 1, little things like that.
Laggy menus is another one.
I dont even want to get into how bad this rom is with the camera. Horrendeus software, menus etc, recording upside down, and on top of that it completely incapacitated the video recording of the phone. VErsion 5.3 and the videos still record at 3fps and the frames jump back and forward every 2 seconds as well...
heres miui on a good day for you.

thanks

Adding an extra option isn't that difficult. Getting that extra option to do what it's supposed to do is the tricky bit!!! )
If Galnet has managed to work out how to implement this feature I'm sure he's more than capable of adding an option to the settings menu but having said that I'm more than happy to help out if needed..

I guess a "feet on the ground" option would be waiting for the official MIUI devs to support TV-out in future releases. Mind MIUI is still beta.

They have almost all the same features. But Liquid is a lot lighter and in turn is the smoothest and most fluent rom you will every try. Even adding all the features aokp has, its way smoother then stock or any other rom ive tried. Been running it for about 2 weeks, and when i try a different one, i come right back cause none have matched how fast it is
I really dont mean to come off ass abrasive but this question gets asked about 300 times a day so for once and for all. Stop asking about AOKP...DO you REALLY Want me to list how many roms use romans code in some way shape or form? Whats different about this than AOKP, well for starters its about half the size (in mb) is far more battery efficient, much more responsive ui (imo) has far less support for devices (in turn we focus our attention onto fine tuning/tweaking this one device) and has a completely different framework base not to mention this was coded/edited by liquid, Jbird, and a little bit of myself (not to mention the thousands of other people whos code goes into AOSP and this rootRom scene) I could list further differences but Ill let you do the rest of the work yourself...
For starters
Our code:
http://www.github.com/liquidsmoothroms
Their Code:
http://www.github.com/AOKP/
Jbird has done an immense amount of work on statusbar stuff and has worked very closely with TeamKang to reach a lot of these milestones together...anywho this is a totally different thing than aokp, as the man himself likes to say, flash it and see...
This rom is by far the best out there. Thank your for your work. My only gripe is I cannot use stock launcher which I prefer

I am having an issue where when I have my lockscreen pattern enabled and music playing, the lockscreen music controls show up on the bottom of the screen and the 9 pattern buttons are not visable. I can still unlock the screen using my pattern by memory of where the dot points are, but this has been irritating me. This is with 1.1 flashed the day after it was released.

We are proud to offer you ICSourcery Version 3.0 The Rehatching
For the Galaxy Nexus LTE on Verizon
ICSourcery Version 3.0 was a large endeavor by me and Devortex to rebuild the greatness known as ICSourcery, from the bottom up to be more awesome, more flexable, and more fun.
For the first time we did this On Github
https://github.com/TeamSourcery
Credits are given on Github and at
http://teamsourcery....ry-credits.html
Please visit both to see all the great people involved in helping us make this great rom.
Many of you know I started sourcery back in 2010 and gflam joined me shortly after and has been part of team sourcery since than through version 2.0.
Gflam and init2winitapps, were gracious enough to give us their source for sourcery tools which helped the rebuild process, Devortex took over that project and has rebuilt much of it, and made some changes that help us greatly.
I want to thank Gflam for the years we worked together, and wish him and init2winitapps the best.
But did want people to know that they are no longer involved in ICSourcery.
They also allowed us to stay on their server through V3.0 which was great and gave us time to do things right rather than rush to change everything.
Version 3 is totally now on our new and faster server.
So 1 of the things that DevorteX has done is tools will now work with any theme built by anyone, I no longer have to build framework and system ui to enable our tools to continue to work. (do need to keep my signiture on apk)
So themers please help us and the other users out theme it and get it to us to put up in the first theme engine for ICS that continues on in Version 3.
ICSourcery is the most themable rom available.
ICSourcery Theme engine
T-Mobile Theme engine
Ability to change all framework and system ui images
Animations
Fonts
batteries
softkeys
Kernels
pulldowns(both animated and static)
bootanimations (and i believe the first ever bootanimation changer that also changes audio)
Part of the rehatching includes.
New website.

and Bug tracker... Please submit all feature requests and bugs here for better tracking.
http://code.google.c...ery/issues/list
Known issues-------
1) Led--installing light flow even 1 time will cause our new LED features to break. And lightFlow wont work either.
Please do not install light flow on this rom.
2) Random Bug- when on a Tmobile theme engine theme installing a pull down may cause crashing of systemui.
This is not consistant so hard to track still working on it.
If this happens power button will cause phone to reboot.
and no statusbar or softkeys show.
FIX- use drawer goto apps and settings go into tools and install stock theme. upon reboot all back to normal.
3)My Verizon Login- for my verizon , nfl mobile etc. states incompatible with this device.
I checked and our id is exact as 4.0.4 ota from verizon so not sure why this is.
FIX- goto mods and install verizon login fix.--all good after.
4) Navbar widgets--While adding some widgets it will force close first time re-add widget again and will install the widget.
If you find any other bugs pleas submit them to-- or feature requests.
http://code.google.c...ery/issues/list
We have not tested or worked hard on tablet mode. it may or may not work. for a tablet mode experience. we suggest the best.
http://rootzwiki.com...androids-first/
--Custom LED--Quiethours(including ringer)--Aokp style toggle--Navbar customaztion--Navbar widgets--Status bar font size adjustments--all lock screen centered--boot animation with boot audio--too many mods present in tools to mention--buildprop editor--kernel tweaks--push notifications--autoupdate notifications--overclock settings--wireless ADB--muiu explorer built in--etc.etc.etc.
This rom can not be described. give it a run. thats what nandroid backups are made of
This rom was built upon 4.0.4 r2.1 last synced with google approx 12pm 6/12/2012.
We are far from done.......But with 2 months of hard work we believe we have something special to offer.
This is not built with Linaro. as usual jsut as we are ready to release something new comes along. We will look at the results and determine if this is a benefit.. If it is it will be done.
and without further ado

You do not need to register to download but would be nice if you did so.
We will continue to support here also.
Also after installing in mods is a 3.0 addon please install that. as it will add the camera effects. and our great walpapers.apk
Might find some other stuff in mods you may like.

I know it's something silly I'm not doing...any ideas?
And sorry again about the totally wrong thread...when my fiance saw Eagle's post she was howling...

I'm glad that you're asking. Of course I forgot about it.
I'm publishing (only for next few days) not changed/baked version of installable zip. (so the kernel is unchanged too) In next days I'll prepare some AIO zip with built in gapps, custom kernel and few preinstalled apps.. (I have to go to sleep! my job/work is waiting for me! )
i am just wondering why its port they allready have a official for galaxysmtd. ?

no, it's not official, bacause I have no contact with it's main dev. (MoKee?)
Since it's OpenSource I just grabbed source from github, compiled (It's been a long day....) and uploaded here.
As far I know, nobody posts here about this flawless rom, so I'm first!
Although since I just compiled it from not-mine source I take no credit for it..
Eventualy, as AIO pack would be ready, when I post it, it could be in some sort mine job... but for now? I'm just a messenger...

After one day you can't say a rom is stable, use it at least 2 weeks maybe then you can call it stable. I mean, that's what stable is for me.

yes sure, but i've tried so many roms and i can feel when i'm using a good base... There are some roms with problems after 2-3 hours of tests...
Wow. I am running this on a captivate and it is very very smooth, unfortunately I had to replace the stock kernel as it wouldn't let me connect to wifi, which actually slowed it down a little but it is still very impressive. thank you for posting this ROM!
Could someone upload some screenshots please? Thank you in advance
Here you go
The list view makes every menu or list animated (slides in for example)
The keyboard is half Chinese so I replaced it.
I already themed the halo to a black square. It was normal blue.
This Rom is amazingly smooth.

I can also confirm that auto rotation is not working properly. Camera button has been working fine for me and battery seems normal for CM based ROMs.

Alright folks, here's another update... 4.3 is officially merged!! I just did the last part of it and caught with CyanogenMod as far as frameworks goes.
Reference here to see what I'm talking about: IllusionProject Frameworks/base
Of course there's loads of things to iron out, but the overwhelming part of merging 4.3 is now behind us!
I'm still not going to promise an ETA, but I will be doing what I can to get everything functioning the way it needs to be. Thanks peeps for remaining patient through a busy part of my life recently. There's quite a bit in store for 2.5. I may even release a alpha version of 2.5 so you guys can get your hands on a 4.3 build with all the cool nifty features and such :victory:.

I'm look forward to when the new version is released
Same here. Just tried illusion for the first time. Took me a bit to find the right kernel to get it to boot with WiFi and signal, as well as recovery and root. I used the boot.IMG from championswimmers latest aokp. Now everything is working great, and battery life is amaaazing. The problem I have is no auto rotate, and I'm a YouTube JUNKIE, so this tiny screen business is killin me!! Lol. But I'm really liking this key lime pie look, and the transition animations look super slick.
Sent from my C6503 using Tapatalk 4
Get an app that lets you switch between orientations as a temp workaround, hopefully this gets fixed in the next version. And thanks for figuring out the kernel, I've been thinking about trying to find one that works when lo and behold someone's already done it!
The only thing I wish would get fixed right away is the inaccuracy of the battery meter, I find that if I reboot with a significant portion of the battery used then it reports the level as being higher than it actually is(50% goes up to 70% or so) which has lead to me running out of battery a few times. I believe this has been fixed in recent CM builds if I remember correctly.
:banghead: duuhh.... lol. I never even thought about an app to control rotation. I just figured if it didn't work, it didn't work. Thanks for the tip. Found an app in no time.
