My friends rooted EVO keeps getting 4.53.651.1 update messages over and over. Any way of fixing this? It is rooted with revolutionary.
Thanks

Do we also have a way to turn S back on?

And why would you do that?

If I need to send it in. I know people have said it doesn't matter, but I've never had good luck with things like that.

I'm pretty sure ANY s-on tool will work if you flash it through recovery
OK, thanks. I was curious because I read in one of the posts in the root thread someone tried to ruu back to stock and it didn't work/screwed up their phone.

From what I can gather there is no way to get back to s-on. Still looking for a solid answer

I just recently returned a broken Evo with S-OFF. They replaced it without any questions. I don't think they actually check.

Hit my phone an hour ago. I'm rooted and unlocked, don't want to risk bricking my phone. Is this JB?

Also, apparently it has installed and will complete upon phone restart. Lol...hopefully I don't have to jump through hoops.

No it's not JB.

K, is it safe to update or will this brick my phone? I'm holding off restarting and I'd like to know if I need to freeze some stuff.
