Right, now that we have cleared that up, go to...
Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add Account > Follow Prompts. If you have already added the account, just go Accounts & Sync > Sync All.

[Q] How Add Calendar Sync

I searched and found a lot of calendar issue threads, but non that really had the issue I'm having.
Running a Droid Incredible with Froyo. I just got the phone a few says ago. Ran the initial setup. Created an Gmail account to sync all my stuff and imported my outlook contacts and all.
Got all that done with no problems. Started setting up my google calendar and noticed nothing was transferring over to my phone that I was adding to the calendar. Did some google searching and basically came to find out that my phone is not set to sync the calendar, But I don't know why or how to fix it.
I go Setting>Accounts & Sync>Google and it only shows "Sync contacts" and "Sync Gmail". How do I add Calendar to that? I saw that some people said you need to have a calendar made before you add that account, but its too late for that. I tried to remove the account to re-add it, but it says "This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults."
So how do I get the Calendar Sync added to my phone?
Solution for Droid 2
I found a posting that worked on my wife's Droid 2 (didn't know this had hit the Incredible). This worked for me. YMMV.
From a different forum ... this worked for me:
1. Go to 'my accounts' on droid 2
2. Click on 'create account'
3. choose google account
4. Follow the process for creating a new gmail acct not just adding your original to create a dummy account
5. Make sure all sync options are checked
6. Finalize account creation
7. Go to your calendar and create a new event using your ORIGINAL gmail acct not the new/dummy account
8. Save event
9. Go back into my accounts and check your original account sync options, calendar should now be there
10. Remove your dummy account from your phone
I'll def have to try this later when I get home from work

This worked! Did it a little different. When creating account on the phone it did not give me a list of what to sync. So I made the account on the computer and then created a calendar and then added the account and it automatically added the calendar sync.
Now another issue. If I add to my google calendar on the website it add its to the calendar on my phone. But stuff that I have on my phone doesn't get to the calendar on the website...

[Q] Sync contact via gmail wont work?

Hehe fast from me!I found options on gmail /contact restore contact and works!!!But still it is same question.I create new contact on phone and when i sync i want to have on gmail contact too
I believe it will auto-sync to your gmail/google account once you have added it. Then when you switch roms. You can restore all contacts. Nice to see you figuring out your question.
But when i add some new contact to phone and go to sync on google contact create just THAT contact and delete all others also on phone.

Couldn't you do a bulk sync? And select all your contacts to be uploaded together, so google has an updated version of your contacts.

This has been an android thing since day one. Usually you have to reset it now. You used to be able to clear Google account services from manage apps

[Q] Contact sync

I just got my Galaxy S3. As usual, when I set up my main google account it defaulted to syncing my gmail contacts and calendar. I sync my contacts and calendar to an exchange server and don't want them synced to my google account.
On other devices I could go into the account settings, uncheck contacts and calendar, then go into the app manager and delete the data from contacts storage and calendar storage and they would all be gone.
When I did this on my S3, the contacts app still shows all my Google contacts. I can't figure out how to remove them.
Can anyone explain?
Thanks!

This should have taken care of the issue. Can you make sure that you go to settings > accounts > your google account and uncheck contacts and calendar sync FIRST and than go to settings > app > contacts and clear data. (Same for calendar)
Also, if you have Google+ (or facebook) installed, it could be syncing contacts too. Make sure you uncheck and clear all contacts.
Strange. No matter what I did those contacts would not disappear. Then I rebooted the phone and they were gone. Seems to be working fine now...
Thanks.

How can I remove email account from gmail app ?!

Hi guys, I've got 2 accounts and wants to remove one, can you explain me how to remove email account from fu...king gmail app ?!
at Settings -> Accounts & sync -> Personal (POP3) - when click on 3 dot's got only "sync now" option, theres no remove option, at gmail app cannot find remove option as well.. can someone help me ? thanks
You have to do it via accounts in settings. For some strange reason the functionality isn't built into the app itself. Obviously this means everything associated with this account will be deleted, not just email.
Actually you can go under the google account, and turn off just email, thus keeping play store functionality. Select the google account, and turn off Gmail. note this won't delete the mail already on the phone, you'll have to reset the gmail app to do that, but it will stop syncing and downloading of new messages.
