http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1174202
can anybody of u modify my systemui.apk as per the thread mention above.....
thanks in advance....
it will just take seconds
my systemui.apk
Works also on RC4.2 because there are no changes to SystemUI.
Thanks telispetsinos for the tip!
I read that lippol94 mod works on RC4.1 but just in case are any changes to SystemUI.apk in the RC4.1 I did this MOD.
Thanks to lippol94 for his work from RC3.1 and to everyone else for contribution.
I did this mod from RC3.1 MOD by lippol94 for my own use.
All credits goes to lippol94 from which I copied the files for this MOD and of course to ICSSGS TEAM who made ICS possible on i9000.
RC4.1/RC4.2 are ODEXED ROM's.
The MOD is only for battery percentage, no other changes.
Backup before updating.
hello,
works on this too: I9000_STOCKPLUS_ICS_RC4-PLUS???
tx.
Just tried the ODEX version on OneCosmic's RC 4.2 and works great!
Thanks a lot!
hi Qobok,
can u suggest me how to odex SystemUI.apk? I have the ICSSGS 4.2 odexed rom, and I'm trying to create my own mod with circular battery icons.
thanks.

No need to. If you are odex then flash this mod and then with the apk open in a zip extractor drag and drop the .pngs inside drawable-hdpi and that should be ok. Don't add any files. If you have issues with the apk not working then you could try bringing across the manifest from the other apk (if you have used ALL of the .pngs from the other .apk?) as I believe the manifest has MD5 sum checks in it, or you can break down the manifest file in notepad++ and copy all the checks into your own manifest? That may allow you to flash...follow the tut in the link that someone else posted above. what ever is easier
Edit: I would not follow that tute in the link posted. That will not work.
If you have disixda's kitchen you will see an option to deodex apks. If you see how that script works you can reverse it, baiscally it will drag out of the apk the dex file and make you an .odex file
we can all sacrifice a little space for optimised usage, but the .odex file AFAIK is not actually any benefit in system performance, only boot performance/speed?

Send me your apk with pngs in it and I will try make one for you
Be careful with the files you are using or the tuts you follow cause this can happen:

thanks Jarmezrocks, I was able to mod my battery icons following your suggestion: I take the icons from "Dotten Circle Battery" mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421876) and then I simply updated the SystemUI.apk in the "Onecosmic_RC4.1_Battery_Percentage_ODEX.zip" file (paying attention to not add more icons respect the existing ones).
I've also tried before with the method suggested by Qobok, but the odexing process failed..., I've to study more odex/deodex process...
in attachments screenshot and my modded zip (do always a backup before trying a mod ).
P.S. I'm on ICSSGS 4.2 (i9000).
I'll wait for next release of Onecosmic

[Q] Battery % for DDKQ8 Stock ODEXED Rom...
Can anyone please upload the cooked files for Battery % for DDKQ8 Stock ODEXED ROM ? Well which are the files to be uploaded to cook using the UOT Kitchen, both framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, or just the SystemUI.apk ? I tried to cook it myself, but having some problem uploading the files...Can someone help me out ?
Guys please. There's a tutorial on the kitchen itself on how to use it. Please watch it and be careful on what you do with your phone.
Note: Even if you make a mistake and flash something you didn't want, use THAT exact framework and system ui (touch wiz file too if you're on stock).
Example; you want transparent status bar but you made it too transparent and now you want it back. You have to use the already flashed system files to re-make the one you want. You can't use the ones you started with otherwise the changes won't take effect.
Lol, saying all this from self experience. I love experimenting xD

this is god damn funny
i have GS3 running on BLAZER 1.9 ROM and I cannot change the battery icon. eveyrtime i pick the theme, it says it installed and it still shows the current ROM battery icon instead of the one i downloaded. Ive looked online and found different statements:
1. When you change the battery you need to use one in 1% increments or it will act funny
2. pull them out of the framework-res.apk or SystemUI.apk (depending on which one your ROM is grabbing them from, mostlikely SystemUI.apk) and drop them into your ROM. Only rule is if your current ROM is using say 100 battery pngs, then you need to replace it with 100 pngs or it will mess up the battery meter.
i need help with step by steps plz!!!

Go to uot kitchen... You can get batteries done for ICS there. You need your framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, and twframework files to upload to the site once you pick what battery mod you want.

click on battery mod tab, it is pretty straight forward from there. Read a little, pick the mods you want, upload your files, let the mod bake, pick it up. Use it.
Also, these just got uploaded in the dev thread..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32028440&postcount=5
and here is a link to my post with a bunch too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1862428

Hi,
I modded the stock SystemUI.apk from new JB XWLS8, and made it fully transparent. (100%)
It has now center clock in orange color.
I'm using in Omega rom 19.1....(thanks Indie), so far so good
On other roms with mods on SystemUI, you'll loose it...
Copy file to your phone and just flash it in CWM....
Hope you like it.....
Cheers

Just a request.. well two actually..

2. Would it be possible to make the notification icons blue like in the theme by crussader?
Pretty plzzzz?? (I wanna learn how to do all this but am just not getting the time )
