Those guys over at TeamBAMF are really good. Quality releases with minimal bugs.
Should should be another great ROM to look out for.

technically there already is bamf on the inc2...as skyraider zeus is a bamf rom
i *think* adryn is porting bamf 2.4 or the something like that...ill check with him

This phone community keeps getting better. There's a handful of very good, stable, sense roms now. It's awesome. Now on aosp if sound and compass would get fixed for that one day a week I need to get my aosp fix LOL.

Why doesn't anyone use newts incredible hd Rom?

It's sense 3.5 and so far I have experienced no bugs, great battery life and way better speed than BAMF. And why does anyone use BAMF in the first place? I used BAMF for a week before discovering newts inchd and it was ok and all but it wasn't as fast as inchd and its an older version of sense. Plus BAMF had more bugs(or bugs in general) and inchd has better battery life. Just my thoughts.
Sent from my Incredible 2 HD using XDA App
Also sense 3.5 is more polished than 3.0 and there are noticable changes coming from sense 3.0. It looks way better.
Sent from my Incredible 2 HD using XDA App
What do you mean why don't people use it??? Most of the people who do went over to his forum when he left xda. And I agree. It's the sickest ROM period.
Sent from my DINC2HD
The way he left here, after just using this place to advertise (against xda rules btw) left a sour taste in my mouth.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
To me it didn't come across as advertising. Maybe its cuz I didn't see many of them from the beginning, but hey lol. I think he still works his butt off for his work. He pours his heart into them for sure.

That's great. But like most things here. I don't think its right to say...genes my Rom. If you need any help go to my site.
Esp to post that in a dev forum. That's general if you aren't gonna work on it here.
Sorry im an xda purest.

Lol, and I respect most people here, although I also understand his frustration with the trolls and stuff. And like taebom said, all the main ROM teams use their own sites for bug reports and support and stuff. So, I can see both sides of it, and I hate that he left. I appreciate what the devs here do, especially considering they do it for free mostly. I love that I can play around with my phone and not be afraid cuz I know some people here and there that'll help me with just about anything.

Skyraider Zeus is great if you're looking for stock mixed with the favorite sense 3.0 aspects. Very well done, and supports GSM.
This ROM is based on sense 3.5 which is actually an unreleased version. It's more refined IMO, and a lot better put together.
Downsides would be in SZ, you don't have the eye candy that is DINC2HD, but with DINC2HD you can't change lock ring. In all honesty, its all preference. Both ROMs are very well put together. I personally would recommend them both to people depending on what they were looking for.
For me, DINC2HD is my daily. I've found it hard to change to anything else.
Hope it helps
Sent from my DINC2HD
I'm just not that into Sense, so I spend a lot more time on the AOSP ROMs. But I've given pretty much every Dinc2 ROM a spin, and I actually agree; Newt's "Incredible 2 HD" ROM is easily the best Sense-based ROM available for this phone. Not trying to hate on BAMF, but I think Newt wins out.

It just seems to be the most complete. The least amount if bugs, and the funny part is its a test ROM sent out by HTC. I say they're finally on the right track. This also has more free RAM than the sense 3.0 ROMs I've tried.

How much free ram? I'm at 320 with miui.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
Well, definitely not as much as MIUI lol. Around 160-ish after a while. It's not huge and I got better on stock, but considering what all this does over stock, and how I was getting closer to 100 using sense 3.0 I'd say its running smoother. Plus, its android so free RAM means much less than on Windows.

I'm currently using MIUI and LOVE it. I'll give his rom a try eventually though. He's a good dev and like that he's responded to most if not all my questions I asked about his roms

[Q] ROM Question - Looking for minimal ASOP Desire ROM

I just got an Incredible 2 to replace my Nexus One (new job, new phone), and I'm trying to find a stable, updated and minimal ROM. I have been going through the DEV forum, and I see quite a few choices, but I don't see anything that's minimal. Something similar to this.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I might give Liquid Smooth a try- AOSP GB 2.3.7 built from source and very minimal. It's in ROM Manager too.
Im not a fan of rom manager, but I like most AOSP.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
It looks like a nice ROM, but I don't think it's minimal. Are there any other suggestions? In the mean time, I'll just root my current phone and remove the bloatware.
Thanks
OMFG is probably the most minimal AOSP.

But, I really not sure what you mean

We don't really have a pure vanilla gingerbread rom for the inc2 but Omfg is a great rom too.
Well, there's OMGB, and there's OMFGB, the first being plain old gingerbread android, whereas the second is custom gingerbread.

Recommended ROM?

I got a Droid Incredible 2 yesterday for Christmas and am already rooted (I'm very enthusiastic ). Can anyone recommend me a ROM that is at least mostly functional, reliable, fast, and has reasonable battery life. I would love to hear your input based on your experiences. Thanks!
Edit: I just saw the thread about choosing the right rom and for the most part it answered my questions
Enjoy !!!!

I'd recommend the new merry Christmas build of ICS personally. Its got a couple bugs but overall its very nice.

CyanogenMod... it's what I use.
cyanogen mod, skyraider zeus, or miui if you'd like
most roms for our phone have matured enough to be nearly completely functional and stable, with the exception of the ICS builds, but even they are pretty damn stable
skyraider zeus 1.3
mikrunny 1.0.1
Sabotage Sense.

Only thing is I'm in the process if calibrating the battery and don't know if that should be interrupted...

[Q] Best Sense Rom for Incredible 2?

I know there are a lot of Sense based Roms out there for this device, and i was just wondering which rom you guys preferred. I've had some pretty good experiences with SkyRaider Zeus 1.3 and also Virtuous. What are some of your thoughts and opinions on these roms and others?

I loved Skyraider on my OG dinc, but for some reason not a fan if Zeus. It is extremely stable, but just not for me. I'm a big fan of nitsuj's gingerbangsense with the 3.0 patch, or even andybonesstock with the same patch. Both work amazing and are stable in my experience. As far as 3.5, Newts hd is pretty solid

So this new ROM that Mik made is better then Incredible HD 1.1? What are the main differences with both? Is one more stabler and bugless then the other?

HD was a combo of OG Sensation and Runny, whereas Mikrunny is 100% mik optimized runny. It runs better than any Runny ROM I've tried, and you can use skins with it.

cant go wrong with virtuous in my opinion, unity or affinity. BTW unity is the sense 3.0 version and affinity is the sense 3.5 version. They both are stable, solid roms and have their own tweeks built in. Also, and im not sure about unity, but affinity can overclock waaaay past 1.7 so thats definatley a plus. id highly recommend trying those 2 out, mainly virtuous affinity. heres the site if ya need it:

Favorite Sense ROM?

So I've tried probably 6 or so different Sense 3.5 ROMs including MikRunny, Magnolia, various TSM, and some others... I'd have to say that my favorite one is Magnolia... It is the most stable, smoothest, fastest, with the best battery life. Share your thoughts?
Use SkyRaider Zeus on teambamf.net
If battery life wasn't an issue, I would stick with TSMBullet. I am a stickler for battery life so I would use Skyraider Zeus over Bullet.

Yes skyraider is sense 3.0, and I have been checking mikmik daily for newts release but it will probably have a lot of the same issues as the other sense 4 Roms which at the moment is a deal breaker for me because I need my camera and camcorder as well as mms.

Awesome man, looking forward to it. I like to change ROMS every few weeks... lol it keeps things interesting! I'll definitely be looking forward to that man. Somewhat off-topic but do you have any idea if you can install an OC Daemon on AOSP like CM9 or AOKP?
Coredriod is my favorite sense rom, but I would have to say Skyraider is a close second.
I've been using Mikrunny for a few months now. I have no complaints about speed or battery life.
Newt is working on a Sense 4 ROM. I don't see any Sense 4 ROM being completed till HTC releases the source.
Any work that a DEV does for the community is a favorite of mine.
all of nitsuj17's work I LOVE.

team BAMF,skyraider (ihtfp69) was my first "favorite" sense ROM, back on the Inc1.

There were many DEVs from the Eris days as well. good times.
Andybones stock was/is great... I loaded it up when my wife was using my phone until she could upgrade. All the flashable mods on a stock Rom was just what she needed.
Skyraider Zeus is solid. Anything nitsuj makes I highly recommend...and he always seems to have cool new stuff and is very active in the forums.

I was happy to see some people from the Eris dev section move up to the Inc2. Maybe we all have an attraction to the little guys in Verizon's line up.
I've loaded Nit's M version of Sense and Skyraider. Both are pretty solid with everything working out of the box. I have both saved right now as nands if I feel like switching back. I personally find Nit's version a little more smoother than Skyraider but that might be do to kernel settings.
