Is it possible to change the point at which the screen rotates? It flips to landscape any time I set it down but has to be outrageously vertical to go back to portrit.
I'm using cm6

I see a lag on mine, but far from "hell"... don't even lag enough to bother me.
I don't use overclock in my latest CM7 nightly with custom UOT.
I use RealCalc!! Its better than any other calc!!

i also use an other calc (handycalc), i like it more than realcalc. but still, there are times i need the original.

Go to Settings>Display and make sure the auto rotate screen is checked. I've never used the calibration but I don't know how it would keep the screen from rotating unless the calibration is wrong.

I'm afraid that's what you'll have to do. I was on 1.2 and just went to 1.4 and rotation works just fine for me. So after full wipe don't touch the accelerometer calibration

I'm using CM10.1.2 as well and the rotation works. Apart from checking "Auto-rotate screen" have you checked the "Rotation modes" options below in the same screen?
The rotation works on your device when using stock Android?

Again it does work properly on my end. Either there is a problem with the accelorometer or there is a setting somewhere that you are using that's causing the problem.

I have the same issues, probably it's hardware related
Have you guys tried rotation locker on Google play? I had the opposite problem with an app forcing rotation when I had my view locked on portrait. It has an auto option that you can force.
I try everyhing with no success
All options checked 100 times
App from Play
Accelerometer is work perfect in games (speedex, asphalt)
Nothing in log, no errors, no warnings

I use nova launcher instead of trebuchet. Have you checked for rotation settings in it? I think it has some.

So I uodated to kitkat today (the official firmware) and now I come to notice a few hours later that no matter what app, launcher or browser is running the phone does not go into landscape mode. I ticked off screen rotation in settings and tested my accelerometer. This is very puzzling and any help would be much appreciated

Did you uninstall Samsung hub?
Ssbro is right. If you did uninstall s hub you can loose auto rotate.
