sick to death of noobs crying n whinging n complaining with pls help... pls pls pls pls help

What an Arse Hole- 'SIMPLE SIMON'
You know Simon 'Simple Simon' you were once a newbie too so get off your high horse before you fall flat on you f***king face
What a jerk, I'm asking for Help, nicely because I thought this was a friendly forum that someone can help me. I did search but didn't find an answer, that what's new threads are for, you arse hole
Yes I've check the notification box, yes its the right type
It plays when I press the play button, but when I received a call or SMS, NO SOUND
Noone is asking you for your precious time if you dont want to damn well give it, bottom line is when you see a thread you don't like, see the door arse hole TAKE A HIKE
I agree the title is going to get peoples backs up considering its only a few sounds which do not work.
Do the sms files actually play manually in media player , are they corrupted?
Try selecting no sounds ok you way back out and then turn them all back on. (might reset any duff reg entries)
Failing that a hard reset will probably be quickest way to sort it?

Well to start with you can tell us what you have installed and have you chnaged any reg keys???
If you dont give information how the heck do you what help.
Please help my phone is broken
How many poeple are going to help me on that one!!! you get the hint! When you give no useful information, you get no useful replies!!!!
What The F**********
If you read my first post I told you what i've install and even uploaded some of my registery files
what else do you want from me!!!!!
Problem that I see is that RickyJune has posted many My Phone won't work - here's no information but I want a psychic to fix it for me because I'm too lazy to research for my self threads.
Everytime I see a RickyJune thread I almost know the first response will be 'please give more information' or something of that nature.
That's so not f***king true

I did search, and if you do a search and come up with the answer I'll be f***king surprise
Secondly I did give you all the info, my signature tells you what phone and OS im using, I posted my registry file that I thought was useful and I told you what software I'm running. and said if you need more pls ask
ITS ALL THERE IN MY FIRST POST JERK FACE IF YOU CAN BE BOTHERED TO READ!!!!!
God you people are half-harden b*****ds
Yeah many people who could help have become hardened to the "Pls Help" posts.
If you search for a particular problem (BTW Use the Google search as well on this forum) and can't find any answers then it's most probable that the problem is just peculiar to yourself.
Have you done a hard reset and do you still have the problem on a 'clean' install?
Oh my God a decent human being
thank you Wam7,
I decided to Hard Reset tonite when I get home, but its the last resort I thought maybe someone had any ideas before I did that, I wish I didn't bothered asking now,

Well for starters you can quit with the triple posting of threads for the same problem... and then a better subject to the thread... And then smaller letters... If you dont recieve a lot of replies from ones with the right titles its because no one has your answer, as its more than likely 3rd party software causing your issue, this is why the hard reset corrected your problem... be more descriptive, im sure you have more than that piece of junk wisbar advance installed on your device.. If you want answers it helps to know everything, ALL software installed, etc....
Hey all, Ive been thinking about what i miss about my pre, and besides the obvious wireless charging (one can dream, right) touchstone, the one other thing i miss the most is the glowing of the trackball device at the bottom of the phone for a notification.
Now i know there are many people who have WIMAX Notifier and will say to use that, but i really dont like it as much as a more behind the scenes and clean look, and W.N. keeps crashing and is really buggy.
My app idea would incorporate the 4 buttons at the bottom using different patterns for different notifications.
Ex:
Text: Glow all 4 slow
Email: Run from right to left back to right and repeat. (8 secs for one rotation)
Missed call: Glow only home
etc.
I searched and was not able to find anyone in the developing stages of an app for this. I would be more than happy to assist with the coding, but i have no programs or anything downloaded so far, and dont really have any idea what im doing, though i do know C, Java, & C++ a bit and can learn coding quickly.
Any idea on if this could be made to work, im pretty sure there has to be a way the light sensor sends a signal to the mocrocontroller to light the keys, but can it be done independently, outside of that code section? Any words of where to start with development of this app?
Thanks for the advice, please keep it relavent and to the point, i would REALLY like to make this a reality. Also please link me to any current development on this if you can find any.\
PS. I have an evo 4g, but i assume this would be a global android app.
PPS. Dont let my 2 post count dissuade you from the ferver i have to make this app a reality. I dont post a ton, but i am very serious about creating/developing this app with some help.

It actually has not been done yet. All that has been done is Flashlight Alerts and WiMax Notifier.

Right, which are not clean at all. I want a more subtle item that is similar to the pre functionality.
Thanks for the clarification, ive been looking forever and couldnt find what i was looking for.
I think that is a great idea and would look cool as hell. Try making a quick flash demo to illustrate your idea. I'm with you and can definately visualize it but, maybe others can't. Don't give up, it's a great idea.

I think it's a FANTASTIC idea having the 4 bottom capacitive buttons blinking/flashing/glowing for notifications. I would definitely pay for this.
The number one thing I miss about my Nexus One (which I sold back in May) is the trackball notifications where it would glow different colors. Getting the 4 bottom buttons to glow/flash would suffice for me. $10 bounty pledged by me!
This would be such an awesome app...
Alright guys it sounds like there is an interest in making this happen. I will start to look into what it will take for the process to begin.
Stage 1: Getting a coding program installed and getting the HTC Sense open source code to start looking into the light sensor callout for hints of making the bottom LED's come on.
I am committed to this one guys! Sounds like there is a definate want for it thus far.
Good luck man...with all the devs have done with this device, I dont see why this wouldnt be possible.
Btw.... shouldnt this thread be in Apps/Themes section?
sent from EVO with XDA app.
This sounds great!
Alright guys, small update, got the software downloaded and the code/sdk for android 2.2. Wasnt motivated enough to put on my nerd hat and get into the code and start searching out the specific lines im looking for. The good news is I have a flow chart laid out for the notification in each scenario.
Gotta figure out how to ensure the program boots on startup and continues working until force closed.
I will be starting with Froyo, and will move it back to 2.1 eventually. My primary focus will be 2.2 on the Evo.
Welp guys i spent 10+ hours this weekend just to figure out that those LED's are only allowed control when the screen is on. This app is not possible without a significantly more experienced developer, who could make the screen control independent of the LED's. Given my little experience this has become too difficult for me to handle. I will sell my idea for free though!
Thanks for trying, would def be awesome if someone could come up with this. My old samsung instinct use to light up the bottom when it had messages, being that it was a samsung as well, I would *think* (i'm not developer) that there are def ppl with the skills to figure this out .... eventually =) thanks for trying....
Hey guys, new to this forum.... Coming from the Samsung SDX fourms and the Samsung Transform......Terrible phone btw!!!
Okay so I just got this phone today and LOVE it, its 100x better than the transform. The only problem I have with it is that when you take a picture it makes the "camera focus" noise and the noise when it actually takes the picture, even when the phone is on silent. Is there any way I can make it so that when the phone is on silent it doesnt make that "Camera" noise?
Hi & Welcome, a friendly reminder: please search first and ask after.
Since I wondered, looking for 'shutter sound' in the SE4GT forums provided:

Enjoy!

I wanted to know if there was a way to do it without root, sorry i wasnt clear enough. I just dont feel like rooting yet
I have looked at the video on theandroidsoul and seen that the lad quickly loads on a drivers.rar file and then goes and selects the update driver software/browse my computer. Can anyone help me with this. I seem to be stuck in a rut.
I wonder if this is what people are missing (because he is quick and it doesnt say on the step by step instructions) and that is whats stopping it working.
I have looked for this drivers.rar file and someone kindly gave me a website with drivers on, but I am not sure if they are the same.
Thanks
No need to start multiple threads when you didn't like the responses in your first one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1783182
And try reading the guides here, which is where most other guides floating around the net stem from in the first place.
Sorry, new to this. Had a look on that website but not sure which file was similar to the drivers,rar... trying to watch video and folow the steps.
Steps missing as I look at it but then its maybe just the way I am looking at it..
Thought some of the wise ones would have saved me some time on the search for some enjoyment of my phone.
Having read some of the stuff, it seems updating to .62 has been the worst thing to do... cant even find out how to get back down again
As I am not very knowledgeable in techno so far I was hoping for a quick fix.. more reading required I think
Thanks again
Have you read this THREAD, THIS or THIS?
Thanks again, havent come across these.. looking at the wire going into the back of the phone.... what is the outcome of this method, as I mean, is there a good chance that this wil work or the other way around.
I will have a better look at them tomorrow.
Thanks again
Are there any paid sites to get bootloaders unlocked?
Did you even go through the threads that XperienceD suggested? :banghead:
The second talks about Omnius and that's a paid site. You'll have to download their client side software.
Swyped from my SE Xperia arc (LT15i) using Tapatalk 2
You lot should be school teachers! Maybe it was just the early morning starts 4:40 not a good time to get up!
Read the thread and missed it...Dont know why but I had been on there! Duh!... found it now.
Where is my hat with the big D on it... going to sit in the corner!!!!!!!!
Thanks again you lot. Not worthy of your efforts!
Will try and get on it soon.
Any good custom roms that you would recomend... if I get that far...
Hi,
does somebody know if it is possible to access the "LED stripe on the top edge of the back panel"?
I mean is it possible to access it with software to do some fancy color hack modding...?

It might be, but development for the Pixel C has been @randomblame and @cheep5k8, both of whom are quite busy. The former is tricking out his new old ride, while working long hours, last I heard, and the latter is mad busy with work and adding a bunch of stuff to his kernel.
Edit: If I left anyone out, I sincerely apologize!
Based on what @cheep5k8 said in this post, It sounds like the light strip is not controlled in the android software at all, and would require a lower level hack. Definitely not saying it can't be done, but probably WAY more work than it is worth.
I'd just like a way to disable it altogether. It is super bright when I pick up the tablet in the morning and disturbs the wife.

Doesn't appear that it's possible. For more information see posts #179 to 182 here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/pix...nicorns-6-0-1-dragon-05-05-16-t3372823/page18
