Google voice search update - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since im rooted and can't get software updates from Sprint. How can we get the update for the voice search that is going to be released. Im running synergy rls2

You can download that directly from the market. If you find out about the update, look for it in the market and install.
Also, if your current voice search isn't attached to the market, you can use titanium to attach it.

Thank you so much.I thought it was going to come through as a software phone update not a market update?

Market cannot see all my downloads

After doing numerous back ups and restores, my market will no longer recognize all the apps I download. Since it does not recognize them I cannot see when updates are available.

I am also having this issue. I backed up all my apps using titanium back then updated to damage control 3.5 froyo build. I was able to restore them all but for some reason they are not linked to the market and thus, won't let me update. Anyone know how to fix this?

Any help on this?

This isnt a fix but it my be of help till one is found. If you download AppBrain you can use it to tell you when there are updates. (jsut download then run and sync apps should list all apps with updates and you can then let appbrain update them through market.)
I have the same problem on the download portion seems even doing updates doesnt fix but that is what i do as a work around for now

Help: 2.2 evo, not able to update apps or install apps

So few days ago my evo started not allowing me to update some apps, and some new apps won't install at all. Funny thing is other ones will.like my calculator app won't update, yet some other apps will.Only thing I get is notice saying, unable to install, and no other info.I havent changed anything, and I'm running a completly stock 2.2 system.so I'm clueless about what's going on.

Mine is doing the same. I'm not even able to connect to the app market. Says network error. WTF?

My phone wont connect to the market in 3g I can still browse and watch sprint tv in 3g though. I can only connect to the market and and can only sync in 4g. I rooted using the 2.2 guide
I am also running a complete stock 2.2

Try going to settings, applications manage, them go to market. Clear cache, force stop and try again. Mine was doing the same but this fixed it.

There is a bug with the market and google voice interfering with eachother, they both must be logged in to work.
Just open google voice and make sure it is logged in, if it already is log it out and then back in. Should work afterwards.
So I have tried what ppl have posted but no luck. Any more ideas?

I just fixed my friend's Droid X that was doing the same thing. Turns out he had deleted Google Talk. If you did then you need to reinstall it using root explorer, find a download of the .apk off the internet, copy it from sdcard/downloads, go to system/apps, click the little button at the top that says mount r/w, and paste. Run the installer and reboot the phone.
Still no luck, and what is the google talk? I don't have an app. Like that

still looking for a fix, any one have a guide to some common fixs.
Same Problem but can't seem to fix it without flashing a custom ROM...
I can't install most updates to apps or new applications. It usually says "update unsuccessful" or "installation error: unknown reason -18." Any ideas?

[Q] Facebook Update 1.6.1

I know many people hate this app, but I am running the new Market and it says there is an update to Facebook but when I click on it I only have the options to open or uninstall the app. Anyone else having this issue?
I think you should try going back to the old market, wait for Google to put out the update automatically over the air.

Thanks for the Advice, but this was the only app that I have seen it do that on. All other aps have updated just fine. Also I bypassed it going to the Market via my web broswer and installing it that way.
That's a good idea... I prefer watiting for updates... That's just me though.

Its saying the same thing for me. But in the what's new area of the app it says version 1.6.0. Twitter is saying same thing about an Update

New Android Market APK

If I download and install the new market version of the .apk, if in the future Google updates the market will it automatically update to the new version or will I need to update it via a new .apk download.

Well sew thing is if your a flash whore like I then It's kinda pointless cuz some devs don't even care what version market is on as long as it works all of them now are currently running the most recent one I know the one your talkin bout and It's not that one It's the one before the one your talkin bout but another thing I think about is if it ain't broke why fix it
Let me rephase my question, I don't have the market installed, if I don't have the new market installed yet and I install the new .apk and if Google updates the market will I get updates or will I have to search for a new apk.

Oooh Lol yeah you will lol my bad bro
Well that sucks, I'm gonna delete the apk on my phone. I was hoping that once I installed the new market it would get updated when Google updated it. Why is it taking so long for us to get the new market?
