Power Control Custom Brightness Setting - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would just like to know if anyone has found a way to make a custom choose brightness setting in the Power Control Widget?
There are 4 to choose:
Auto/Dim/40%/100%
Auto/Dim/25%/75%/100%
Auto/25%/100%
Dim/100%
But I am after Dim/50%

[Q] Auto Brightness in Extended Controls

I've seen references to it elsewhere on XDA and elsewhere, but cannot seem to find that setting on my Incredible.
Ideally, I would like to be able to toggle the brightness manually, but then also quickly switch it back to autobrightness when I want to.
Try add > Widget > Power control
The right one toggles through brightness

+1, although i don't believe it has control for 'auto' brightness, still have to do that manually

I just came back to say that. It just cycles through low to high
I believe cyanogen incorporates auto brightness into the power control.. unless it was some other ROM that put it on my phone
Assuming you have >v4.0 of Extended Controls, add a widget with the brightness toggle. Under the settings for brightness, use a Custom Brightness Type, and check Auto Brightness. Now you can toggle through various levels, including Auto.

Modify the brightness settings

I'm looking to mod the brightness settings that appear in either the power control widget or the notifications widget. Specifically I want to either add or edit one of the current ones so that I have a auto/90% (or some other % of my choosing). The closest one now is auto/dim/100%, but that's one more step than I need. Sometimes the room is just a touch too dark and the light sensor is causing my display to be too dim for whatever task I need. Anyone able to lend me a hand as to what I need to edit (if this is doable, which I see no reason why it shouldn't be)?
I honestly don't know of any way to get a truly "custom" level (like 90%) in the notification dropdown settings. I know with CM7 you can select what brightness levels it will toggle between. You can also control brightness by sliding left or right on the status bar. MIUI also has a brightness toggle in the dropdown menu, when its not on automatic there's a slider for screen brightness.

How To Remove Brightness Slider from Notification Window

Like many others I really dislike all the wasted space on the stock Samsung notification panel. While I haven't found a way to remove the buttons, I did find a way to remove the brightness slider.
Download and install Lux Light - After enabling it, Lux Light will replace the system brightness slider in the notification panel with its own.
Enter the Lux Light settings and disable the persistent notification. - Under Advanced, uncheck Persistent notification.
Enjoy.

Thank you for this. Since this can control the screen temperature that makes another reason I don't need root.

notification slider mods?

Are there any existing mods for the 5t notification slider? Preferably something to change it all together like screen brightness : normal >adaptive>night?
I personally find the ringtone volume settings useless, as I keep it on medium volume. But I do change work shifts monthly and it makes setting a screen brightness schedule more of a task.

Quick panel: negative display

Hi,
Is there a way to add negative display button in the quick settings panel. It was there on my Pixel and was useful while reading. As most of our web pages are white background, negative display acts as dark mode for everything.
It is not so comfortable to go to settings n search for colour inversion everytime i need it.
Please let me know if there is some mod, app to do so.
Thanks.
I think the best you can find here is Wind Down Mode from Settings>Digital Wellbeing>Wind Down. It's not available via Quick Settings though.
I found a quick shortcut to access colour inversion not in quick panel though
Accessibility/ Advanced Settings/ Direct Access/ Side and Volume Up Keys
Toggled on the Colour inversion option.
Now as soon as i press these 2 keys together volume up and side key (power/bixby key) i have colour inversion and i feel this is faster way to access it even than the quick panel.
