Just received my 2000 mAh slim battery - EVO 4G Accessories

I have used the siedio 3500 for about 8 mo and it is a great battery. The reserve power is amazing. But at times I want the slim sleek Evo I purchased and like to switch back. My phone has all of the mods most Evos are running and I am quite happy. I recently purchased a Battery from eBay for $14 to test and wow! I am very pleased w this battery. It has more than met my expectations and while I have not done my true power using tests yet I can confirm it is an upgrade from the stock 1500 HTC. Placebo...maybe as the stock unit is close to a year old...but being able to have just a few more hours for a days use is very important. I use SBC and have never ran into any issues. I'm sure its nit going to produce these results for everyone but w my setup and it constantly gettijng dialed in it is well worth the $14 on eBay.
Just wanted to let people know that are lookking for a nice stock battery size upgrade that this is the one you have been wanting!

I have that same battery in the 1750 and have had it for well over 8 months It has beaten my stock battery by at least and hour or 2 of extra time on a normal basis. Post the link to where you got yours incase others want to purchase

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-EVO-4G-Extended-Slim-Battery-Galilio-2000mAh-/150594275644

Galilio are awesome ive used 1 for the past year and get well over a day vs 6 on my stock.

The price is unbeatable.
Not completely fair as I have been around wifi.

id like to see that on pure 3g
Id like to get me the TP2 battery as seen on batteryboss
2150mah in my evo!!

I guess, but it doesn't look like you use your phone much at all. Did you wipe your batter stats and run it for at least a week before passing judgement?

I didn't beat it up. That test is tomorrow. I did state that. But as you can see it was used it didn't sit around. If you don't want to buy it lol...don't...I am posting up for the people interested in a better than stock replacemnet. Which it clearly is.

Your display was only 5% o.0 .. you barely use ur phone.

Does anyone even look at awake time? ****. My display stays at 25% brightness. Run it any higher annnnnd the number goes up. Wow at the misinformed owners here.
Also I am on aosp so my stats may vary from a sense rom stats.

I'm skeptical, especially after there's been battery tests that prove for a fact that a whole host of advertised ratings for aftermarket batteries ended up being way over inflated, including name brand stuff like Seidio. I'm just having a real hard time believing that they were able to cram an extra 500mAh into the same form factor when the OEM 2150mAh is almost twice as thick and requires a new battery door. But by all means, discount my comments by calling me uninformed and using anecdotal evidence after a day or 2 of use to prop up your claim.

Lmao what a joke this has turned into. Be skeptical all you want. Maidenly difference for me. I own a seidio 3500 and can laugh at anything you say to disprove it's ability..this 2000 has only seen 2full charges and does better than the 1500 stock unit. If u aren't looking for a slim battery...or do not have a few bucks to spare then I don't have to prove it to you. Whip out your card. Buy one. Then hit the thanks button on my thread. Since I don't work for this battery manufacturer I really don't need to argue have and forth w everyone that loves their stock battery and are skeptical haha.
Don't forget thanks

Relax yourself .. And obviously people look at awake time to see how much YOU USE YOUR PHONE. Just cause you have no friends to text or call since your screen is off MOST OF THE TIME, doesnt mean you have to get all rowdy.
This is uninformative. My Screen is at 14% brightness and my display uses 40% .. does that not tell you something? So sthu.

It tells me Your on a sense rom smart ass
I still dont get 40% unless i run sense
Whats ur point to argue batteries. Lmao enjoy yours.

Thia is a workout. Murdered it today.

And here ya go. Youtube. Boring heavy day. Terrible waste. Lots of use lmao.

Last update and thread can die haha
I had a runaway eBay sucking today but after over 3 rough hours I am happy. Normally I would be at 50%. This includes 10 mins talking. 75 texts. 10 mms. Browser. YouTube. Much screwing w phone. Emails. All data is on auto sync. Only thing I had to do was log oout of eBay. Caused a 40 min wakelock. Out of this time the phone has actually been screen off maybe 30 mins.

Hey man, more power to ya. I get similar performance on my stock battery but if you want to believe that there's something magical about this battery go ahead, it's not that expensive anyway so at the very least you got a spare. I'm just saying that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

I purchased one of those from eBay, great battery life for me, I use my phone too much and with stock I was lucky to get 4 hours, but with the 2150mAh I easily get 14 hours of heavy / almost constant use. Thats on wifi and some 3G, I have very poor reception home so but out doors using 3G and some 4G (where I actually do get some) and tons of txt and gaming and all I've gone through a full day without charging. Btw, I'm running GM v1.1 kernel overclocked to 1075 max and 422 min. I really like my Evo with the stock, but I like better battery life more

me too!! where did ya get ur tp2 2150mah battery?

3500mah battery

I cheaped out and got a 10 dollar Ebay extended battery.
I thought I would report my experience. I cleared battery stats and it's now charging.
Typically during my normal work day by the time I get home the battery has about 10% or less . That's usually about 13 hours off the charger. I typically just surf the net, but I also text, play games and watch videos.
The first thing I noticed was the increase in weight. The extra bulk hasn't bothered me yet. When seeing new phones the slim ones look so much more desirable but with the width of the evo the extra thickness isn't super noticeable when actually using the phone. I'll see how I feels in the pocket. Being shallow it does look about 65% uglier though.
I will take pictures later.

Cool, I want to get this but I heard some things about the phone not able to charge all the way with the 3500. Can you please verify? Also, please go into detail about the usage and your stats have so many hours please!
Interesting I just woke up and got a phone call. Lasted about 2 minutes and then I used the browser to navigate to your post. After reading it checked the charge level and it's at 96% kinda weird for such a massive battery and such little use. So after 3 minutes of use its down 4%
Now I should mention that I haven't brought it down to empty and then recharged it like how the companies want you to. I understand that with nicad and nmhd batteries but I don't get why lion needs that cycle. But I'll report if there is a difference.
i haven't noticed any difference between my old battery and the new 3500. i let it drain down to 10% and then charged. maybe after a couple of days the rom will adjust to new battery.
Alright 7 hours into the day and i have 80% left.
I'm also kinda liking the extra thickness in terms of using it. Feels about the same in the pocket. A little heavier and easier to feel on a "do I have my phone?" Pocket tap.
One odd thing is the sound from the speaker seems to have improved slightly. I think it has to do with the space between the grill and speaker has a gap and it creates a expansion chamber or something I dunno but it seems to be marginally better.
So 12 hours in now and it's at 57% a definite improvement.
Would you mind uploading some pics please? Maybe a link to ebay. There are a couple of different sellers. Thanks
Sent from the bowels of my mind....
finally ran out of juice. was playing pocket legends to speed up the process.
here is a link to the auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300498966627&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
if the link doesnt work anymore the seller was speedy-china http://myworld.ebay.com/speedy-china/
so taking pictures is kinda funny cause typically i use my phone for a point n shoot. i cant find my real point n shoot so ill either look harder tomorrow or bust out my dslr.
I bought the same battery from the same seller a couple weeks ago. I am still waiting for it to arrive. It does take a long time for it to ship from Hong Kong to US, but after reading this post I think my $8.50 was well worth it. It will probably be here in a couple weeks with Christmas slowing the shipping process down and all, but I am eagerly awaiting my purchase.
I bought one a few weeks ago. It does add bulk and a lot of weight however, in my experience it is much more comfortable to hold the phone now. The biggest surprise has been with the new battery case, I can now set my phone down without having the speaker muffled since it is about 1/4" off the surface while streaming tv. I have heard different ideas to break in the phone like full discharge 3 times and others say not to fully discharge it. I would recommend that after your initial charge, turn the phone off and charge it another hour. Personally, I can stream about 5-6 hours of TV (with full screen brightness) at work before needing to recharge.
Any comments like "I took the phone off the charger and it's at 95%" is working as intended. Most phone with Li-on batteries do a cycle charge when they get to 100%. They will stop charge at 100% off charge to 90%, back to 100%, then 90% and so on. This is done because Li-on batteries are dangerous at when under a constant charge. If temperature get too high they can degrade the internal membrane causing fire and explosion from released hydrogen gas.. If you want to leave the house with 100% just unplug and reconnect your phone about 10 mins before leaving.
I got a 3500,not dure if its the same u have. Didnt look at the link
But I got it for emergency. Power goes out... Long trip etc.
I carry 2 other "extended" batts for EDC. Dont mind changing batt and keeping the phone light.

Hey guys, unfortunately I didn't see this post before buying a seidio 3500 and custom case. I just wanted to tell all of you some helpful hints.
1. Condition the battery- run all the way out till phone shuts off (if you go out, keep your original battery and door with you as a backup). Do this about 3 times
2. When charging the light on the Evo turns green after the battery reaches 1500 (the size of the original battery). You need to charge the battery about 3 hours past that to get the full potential of your extended batt. I charge mine over night and I get about a day and a half out of mine!!!
3. It's best to condition the battery about once a month to increase battery life. They say that these batteries don't retain a memory and I believe this to be true, but over my years of experience, it helps to condition very once in a while.
Hope this helps and good luck. Reply back if you get a chance, as I will subscribe to the thread, and let me know if this info helps.
Peace!
How much did you pay for duty fee's to get it shipped here?
im going to average out the difference in battery life of what i have left at the end of the day now vs how much i used to get, to get a good idea of how much more juice im getting.
(so far its looking like 60% more!)

I bought a 3500 on ebay and it was $8.48 shipped. No duty fees. The battery was 2.99 and shipping was 5.49. It is a great deal seeing how everywhere else they are 60 & up.

Seidio 3500mAh evo battery...

I bought it and it finally came in today...all I can say is it's the best money I have spent. The fit and quality and reserve power is amazing. Out of the box it had 56% life. I have tried draining it with movies, qik, anything that pulls juice...gps on, wifi on (i know it actually uses less batt on wifi but I have 12m net lol), even have the brightness up...after 2 1/2 hours I have only pulled it down to 40%!
I know there are other batteries that are very cheap compared to this unit but I can say fit is excellent. Power is shocking...it is well worth the $65 to own such a power, well designed battery and back plate. The non skid coating doesnt even fly off my center console anymore. GREAT PRODUCT! very satisfied!

I can't post links yet due to post count so you will have to play around with my links to see them. Add http and also dot com to Amazon.
Seidio looks like this:
amazon/Seidio-Innocell-Extended-Battery-Black/dp/B003SNIR7Y
I personally don't like the "bulky" square look on this one. I opted for the Quickshippers version. Much more smooth and "cleaner." Not to mention about 1/2 the price.
amazon/SHIPPING-UPGRADE-3500mAh-Extended-Battery/dp/B0042TY68C
Was in the market for a new case until I saw the Quickshippers battery... My main concern has always been camera protection.. The battery cover alone looks like it would do the job, no?
also anyone in the market for these extended batteries. There is kernel developed that allows for full charging of the them. SBC kernal it comes in sense and AOSP
Here is the link for the Quickshippers option. If anyone has this, let me know what you think in regards to protecting the camera in particular.

I have the same battery and have a couple of tricks you may or may not know. I get about two days out of mine with moderate to heavy usage.
1. when the charge light goes green, the batt isn't full. charge about 3 or more hours over to get a full charge. I charge mine overnight and it's good. If you remove right after the light goes green you will not see much difference from the stock battery.
2. I just recently started running Calkulin's new kernel. I'll give you the link. I use the one that says SBC for Netarchy's CFS More Aggressive 4.2.1 (aka 131) 131.zip (2.91 MB). Find the one that best suites your rom, This one kicks ass. Scroll down to the second post. Here's the link- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876590
3. as far as turning things off while not using them, that's up to you. I dont and I still get the great life.
Hope this might help! Enjoy that awesome batt. By the way, bout the green light, the phone only recognizes either when the batt reaches 1500 or it reaches the proper voltage that makes the phone think the batt is full. It was set that way for use with the stock batt. This is what I've read bout and recognized from personal experience.
Not sure I want to **** w the kernel atm. I managed 60 hours and charge the phone every 2 days...its amazing

That's great time. If it works great. The one I spoke of is supposed to be the newest and hottest thing out because of its ability to trickle charge the batt. When I take the phone off charge, it stays at 100% for hours if I dont use it. I've taken it off charge in the morning before just to test it and woke up bout 4 hours later and the phone was still at 100%. I've never fully tested to see how long mine will last as far as hours. I could guess that I would get at least the same as you. For instance, I took it off charge yesterday about 10am and right now I have 61%, granted I have had it connected to the computer a couple of times to download and transfer stuff.

OEM1500 v Seidio1750 v Mugen1800?

Which battery do you prefer?
According to http://batteryboss.org/ the OEM 1500mAh is the best.
I just wanted to see what the users have to say, I am assuming I will get a responses of each person claiming theirs is great. I am looking for someone who may has had one or two of these and their opinion.
Either way just looking for opinions before I buy...
Wow I got all mixed up.
I was thinking of "HTC Incredible 2150mAh Extended battery"
- post edited.
I'm guessing you're looking for a battery that doesn't increase bulk?
The options available aren't much better than stock sadly :/
Depending how old your current battery is and how much stress you've put on it by draining all the way or bump charging, getting any new battery you may see better battery life. Still would suggest the HTC Extended, but just my opinion
I have the Seidio battery and of course the stock battery. I can't imagine how they could say the stock battery is best. My Seidio greatly outperforms stock, and does so consistently. I can usually get between ten and twelve hours out of it under moderate to heavy use. As for the other battery you mentioned, I can't comment on it since I have no experience. I'm curious to hear what others have to say though. I've never heard of it but I'm always looking to squeeze a little more quality time from my phone. Anyway, I wont say mine is best but, I can say, honestly, that you wouldn't be disappointed with the purchase.
Edit: With regards to cases, Seidio's Innocase line is excellent. They slide on end to end for easier battery changes and they're 1mm thin but very solid. And +1 on the custom kernel. SETCPU as well (if you're rooted.)

They are saying OEM incredible batter is better, they are saying the OEM Evo battery is better. Inc comes with 1300mAh, Evo comes with 1500mAh.
They also said the 1750 only uses 79% of its capacity, meaning your only getting 1382mAh...
But if your happy that is good to know, improvement from current stock battery.

I have to wonder if they bump charged any of the tested batteries for the Dinc. I haven't read the article yet but I will when I get a Chance. But, as you may know, a known issue with the Dinc is its inability to fully charge its batteries without unplugging, powering off, then plugging in again. If not, you're battery will truly only have about 80% charge.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
You shouldn't bump charge, it kills the battery quickly.
They have that feature to keep the battery more stable and last longer.
It charges it to ~90% (you'll see it drop from 100% to around 90% very quickly once you first unplug it) and cuts off at ~10% (when phone shows 0%).
It's how Li-Ion batteries work and you really shouldn't manipulate it so you get more unless you are wanting to buy a new battery every month.
If you keep doing that you will start getting worse performance bump charging than people who have been regularly charging for much longer than you have been bumping.
Just a suggestion though.

Thanks for the info POQbum. I wasn't aware of that. After reading so much about how the Dinc needed to be bump charged, I guess I just assumed it was ok and didn't have negative effects on the battery. But I do have to say, I've been charging that way since September without any noticeable issues. Battery life is still great and haven't replaced any batteries. If anything, my battery life seems to have improved. For the first time today, i was able to go ten hours on my stock 1300. Maybe its CM7. Anyway, I'm in no way trying to say you're wrong though because what you say makes sense. I'm simply sharing my own personal experience with these batteries.

I recommend the Seideo 1750. The Seideo cells are Japanese compared to the stock HTC Chinese cells. I get at least 3-5 more hours of battery compared to the stock one.

That batteryboss link is still flying? The 1750 is definately a step above the stock. Not sure what that dude has against seidio but keep in mind he is one guy who basically ran one test on one battery iirc. My seidio 3500 will take some serious abuse and still last a day or 2. The 1750 was way way better than stock...I'd say a good 3 hours or so better for me. Anyway the best investment i made was a cheap ebay wall charger so I can just swap in any battery that fits my needs for the day...I switch between stock, cheap knockoffs, the HTC 2100 and the seidio 3500 now, sold the 1750.

Im at 80% after 2 hours, with only 16 minutes of screen on time. This might actually be worse than stock. The battery summary doesnt show any major drain from apps, and go launchers running app list doesnt show anything out of the ordinary either.
Im running Faux 0.9/Juggernaut 4.1/Litening theme
Im not sure what else I can do, battery is draining ridiculously fat.
It could be just be a defective one. Some custom roms dont recognize the batter stats properly as well. Try exchanging the battery for a new one and also try a different rom. Also try Wipe Battery Stats in clockworkmod recovery.

Hmm, thats kinda scary, would reflashing a rom from scratch fix that?
Also, google has stated wiping stats does nothing, thats a recent development.
As for exchanging, its from amazon, it took 3 weeks to ship this one to me lol.
It might be defective, it did take 9 hours to charge. 3500/650 should be ~ 5.3 hours, but maybe this is why it was on sale for 12 bucks.
Yes, the myth was that wiping battery stats improves the overall battery life but I was not saying this in hopes of improving it. I was just saying to see if it will correctly display how much battery life you have on your rom because one time I had a problem where my battery life stayed at 100% and after wiping it it correctly displayed how much I had left.
If it takes 9 hours to charge then I think its very likely that you do have a defective one. Rechargeble batteries tend to show that kind of symptom when you charge it often without letting it drain first. Try completely draining your battery below 10% and fully charge without stopping (dont pull the plug). If the battery life is still the same and it still takes around 9 hours to charge then I think its safe to say you do you have a defective one.
Also, please double check that the particular battery that you have is compatible with SGS2 Hercules model. Look at the battery information and compare it to the stock one. Make sure the voltages match.
I flashed Mr X's kernel, since Faux has been off since 0.07 for me.
When i charged it last night, it was from 0%, and it took around 3 hours to reach 34%, so im estimating the 9 hours based on that.
The stickers on it say 'Replacement for Hercules T989' Li-Ion 3.7v, i dont have my stock battery atm so i cant see if its the same, ill check that later.
I find it faster to charge using the usb plug converter instead of off the laptop using the usb cable. If I were you, I'd just use the stock battery until the new one ships in. I believe that's your best bet.
I may not even seek a replacement. It was 12 bucks, shipping would cost half the cost of the battery, and it would take them 3-4 weeks to ship another. The original order took 3.5 weeks to be delivered.

Well then, they shouldnt sell it in the first place. Now I'm wondering what kind of reviews it got on that site.
Peal off the cover of the battery. It should say how big the battery actually is. I highly doubt its 3500. But you never know

I was about to say this. You more or less likely got a fake Chinese battery that claims it's "..." mAh, but in reality it's significantly less. I've seen this happen too many times on the EVO 3D forums.
Theres no label, the writing is printed on.

Here is one of the reviews: Looks like the same story as yours.

I was excited to get this battery thinking that it would atleast give me one and half times more backup than the original. However, the backup i'm getting is not any better than the original battery. I will see for a couple of more days and if it is still same, i'll move back to the original battery and keep this one as back up. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

Most cheaper priced batteries out there engage in false advertising. Don't believe the mah numbers you see even if they are the same as the stock oem battery. Its cheap for a reason just like the fake micro sd/flash drives for sale at Ebay. There are also shady vendors in Amazon who pump up their own ratings by leaving positive reviews especially the "ProdiCell" cell phone battery brand. With the exception of Seido and Muge, I would only stick with Samsung oem batteries. The Samsung Nexus extended oem 2100 mah battery is really good for $24.99 (50% off 49.99 at the Verizon store). I do see the extra 14% life. I went 34 hours the other day on stock 2.3.6 before my phone died. I actually ran 30mins of video at the end to run out the charge.
Ill try this out with synergy, since faux i heard was a drainer, and if no luck ill stick my stock battery in and continue to use my ballistic case. Ill also give it one more day.
Never tried an alternative battery till this one, and if im gonna go bulky again ill get that 3900 mah mugen, since that appears to be the real deal.

Gonna wear it to a club and see if it lands me a date.

Could have been a perfect phone, may return it.

I still have about 10 days to try this phone out. I'm trying to get a phone that will last me a work day and a little beyond so i'm not so worried about my phone dying on me.
I do quite bit of emailing, GPS and Hotspot. And though I'm impressed with the GS3 Verizon (much better than my GNEX), I'm sad to say that this phone could have been better with perhaps 2500 mAh battery. Instead of trying to make the phone as thin as possible, keeping in line with Razr Maxx thickness, it could have done it. a whole day phone.. I'm not a apple fan but it's about damn time Android phone last longer. not really apples to apples but still.
I hope that within the next 10 days someone announces a slightly larger battery that' doesn't change the thickness too much, otherwise.. this phone goes back to verizon minus $35 restocking fee, and i go buy a large bulky, ugly extended battery for my GNEX.
ummm my battery is really good. I have been often getting > 24 hours per a charge.
The phone actually has very decent battery life, especially considering the size of the display. I think you should read into battery management a bit. Mine goes 2 days without charge, but I don't play with it all the time. First few days when it was always in my hands, it would last about 12-14 hours.
Go into the app manager and disable the bloatware that you don't use.
Why dont more people embrace the fact that these phones have removable batteries and are like 10$ with charger on ebay. Seriously its not an iphone you arent helpless. I have three extra batteries for this phone, still think it has amazing battery life compared to my old phone

I agree, this phone gets terrific battery life. I'm getting 5-6 hours of LTE screen on time. Try disabling some of the bloat apps and turn down your screen brightness. If you primarily use apps with white backgrounds, use the inverted colors widget. AMOLED screens consume no energy when displaying black, but consume 3x as much as a LCD when displaying white.

this x 10000000
the beauty of Android phones: you dont like something? 99% of the time you can change it.
speaking of just grabbed two extended batts with battery doors off eBay for $20 and they delivered today. cant wait to not ever think about charging my phone throughout the day.

so you buy a $600 phone so you can swap batteries during the day? and carry that battery around? lol...
i'm not trying to be sarcastic here but that's just ridiculous.
again, i'm hoping due to the fact that this phone is release through all carriers, their will be some company out there that will make a perfect size extended battery. sort of like what samsung did with Gnex 1850 to 2100 with cover. about 10-20% increase would make this phone perfect.
if not, then i'l just return it. wait for the unlocked version of this verizon phone, so at least I have Roms/kernel that could improve batt life. just like what happened with GNEX.

might sound ridiculous to you, but i wanted the fastest phone i could get (i do A LOT on my phone) and this is the fastest phone on Verizon (unlimited LTE Data plan). IF the best battery life out of the box was top on my list i could have easily went with the Razr MAXX.
i bought the phone knowing i would be wanting more battery life. but i can upgrade the battery. you cant really upgrade the Razr MAXX CPU/RAM...
i agree with you, and hope for a "medium sized" extended battery comes out. i would think it would be the best of both worlds.
I kind of see what you are saying, but it's definitely not a big deal to carry around another battery. I used to fly a ton and had the HD2 coupled with 3 extra batteries, and it was no big deal. I love this phone, and I get at least a day and a half out of it without issue.
Try some of the battery management techniques mentioned above. Personally I think Sammy did quite a nice job of balancing size, power, and battery life.
Yeah are you seriously making fun of carrying around tiny batteries when you want to buy a $600 dollar phone and put an ugly huge extended battery on it? I had 9 batteries for my mytouch 4g. Never had to charge it. Left.
Batteries in my backpack and car etc.
Seriously take the plunge and give up caring about battery life and charging

Yes. If you want a nearly full featured computer in your pocket with a screen to match, and a blazing fast network, that is the price you pay. It lasts as long as my Droid X, with specs that are tenfold better. I just bought a pair of nfc enabled batteries and a charger for about $20. Not really cumbersome, or difficult to deal with.
I guess I could have gotten some slow, 3g phone for a few dollars less, and had the batteries last two hours longer...

You pay to play. Either sacrifice performance/specs, size,or battery life, or wait 3 more years for some breakthrough in battery technology.

That comment only makes sense if there were plenty of smartphones out there that got more than 24 hours on a charge. Get real, that is not the case. Not trying to be rude, but I just read about a 4500 mAh battery that takes an extended cover an I'm sure there are other options out there that don't require a different cover. Did you search at all?
