It seems you may have a corrupted .zip installation file. Try downloading again or another rom to test.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I have test with Virtous Unity 1.31. I have the same problem

I have this exact same problem! I've tried different ROMS and tried restoring my old backup and no go
I have gone as far as trying to use fastboot to send me back system img and I get a data length is too large.
Mytouch 4 G
Clockworkmod 3.0.2.4
T-mobile
For the data length too large error, you might be in hboot rather than fastboot mode. Make sure there is FASTBOOT USB in red near the top.

When you get that message go to Install zip from sd card, toogle signature verification, then go back and go to Advanced. There choose reboot recovery. It should partition the card then.
I have a new evo updated. Rooted with unrevoked and running sprint lovers (PC3IMG) I installed clockworkmod and tried to flash a rom and had problems. I thought that clockworkmod was my problem so I flashed back to my RU recovery. I then went into recovery and wiped data, dalvick, and cache. I then chose install zip from sdcard and then I selected the new Fresh ROM zip. I tried to install it and it goes all the way to Writing boot.img and I get an error that says
assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img","boot")
E:error in /sdcard/fresh-evo-3.5.0.1.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.
So then I tried to install Myn’s Warm TwoPointTwo and I get to copying files and I get this error:
E:Can't symlink /system/xbin/[
E:Failure at line 15:
symlink busybox SYSTEM:xbin/[
Installation aborted
I am stumped and dont know what to try next. Anyone know whats going on with these errors?
Just tried to install pc36img from sdcard and I get this after it says installing update:
E:Can't find update script
Installation aborted.
I think that this will only work if I flash it at Hboot and select yes for the update? Either way, I would rather have Fresh as my ROM because I used it on my Hero and I loved it. Any help?
After reading other posts, many say it has to do with the HBOOT size not having enough space??? Its not seeing the boot.img correctly. I have no idea. Anyone have any ideas?
Dear XDA experts.
yesterday i was trying to install the new leedroid rom on my HTC DESIRE.
somehow after i flashed factory settings, i am no longer able to mount my sdcard.
I tryed to mount in from the recovery-partitions and from the ADB by myself, unfortunately it was no luck at all.
The error i get is: "mount: mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 on /sdcard failed: No such file or directory"
The condition of the phone is that it is totaly formated, only recovery exists.
I have a nandroid beckup on my computer, i tried to flash i from fastboot but it says no android-info.txt found.
Hope you will be able to help me....

As far as I am aware you need to install the latest version of twrp v2.8 as earlier versions are not compatible with marshmallow.

Hello,
I was getting an error after flashing exposed framework that would not let me use my device at all. Something along the lines of com.android.something has stopped/crashed/shutdown and stopped the phone from working and prompted to send report to HTC.
I am on an unlocked htc 10 s-on w/ unlocked bootloader FYI. While flashing a new rom in twrp I'm getting 'zip file is corrupt!' or 'Invalid zip file format!' I have flashed this particular rom before. Happens with viper, profusion, stock deodex, elementalx, and so on.
log when flashing a rom:
Updating partition details...
...done
Full SElinux support is present.
MTP EnabledInstalling zip file '/sdcard/HTC10_DEV.zip'
Checking for MD5 file
Zip file is corrupt!
or
Invalid zip file format!
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/HTC10_DEV.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done
If you have any idea how to solve this please, then you can roast me after. I've been bricked for nearly 2 weeks. I seriously need help here

Please see my most recent thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/help/unable-to-mount-repair-wipe-micro-ext-t3716101
I repaired the /system partition. Now I am able to mount everything but 'Micro SDCard' + 'usb_otg' partitions, and cannot repair anything but cache. Still unable to flash rom. Error - 'Zip file is corrupted'

So you created a thread to point to your recent created thread. Seriously ...... read the forum rules again. This one will be reported to be closed, 1 thread on a subject is enough.
This was a thread I made previously. I didn't make it just to point at my other post.

Hello,
e:I got /system to mount after repair.
I am on an unlocked htc 10 s-on w/ unlocked bootloader FYI. After wiping all of my data(I know) while flashing a new rom in twrp I'm unable to do anything to 'MicroSDCard' or 'usb _otg' partitions and am getting 'zip file corrupted' when flashing any files/roms. Initially I was not able to mount /system either, but I was able to repair+mount it. This is the log now when flashing a rom:
Installing zip file '/sdcard/HTC10_DEV.zip'
Checking for MD5 file
Zip file is corrupt!
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/HTC10_DEV.zip'
Updating partition details...
...done
I tried to wipe, repair, and change file system for microsd + usb_otg - some of the logs:
mkfs.fat process ended with ERROR: 1
Unable to wipe usb_otg.
Unable to wipe /usb_otg
mkfs.fat process ended with ERROR: 1
Unable to wipe microsdcard.
Unable to wipe /external_sd
/sbin/fsck.fat -y process ending with ERROR: 2
Unable to repair Micro SDCard
Unable to repair usb_otg.
Error Changing File System
If you have any idea how to solve this please, then you can roast me after. I've been bricked for a few days. I seriously need help here

Can you provide a link to the HTC10_DEV.zip you tried to flash?
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617945469 from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/development/htc10-stock-deodexed-nougat-wwe-2-41-t3556908
Its not the rom - it does this for all of them, I have already flashed these roms previously. viper, profusion, even stock rom. I think it has to sd card but I'm not positive. tysm for responding.... really
So I failed to mention the reason I was re-flashing my rom. I was getting an error after flashing exposed framework that would not let me use apps at all. com.android.something has stopped/crashed/shutdown and stopped the phone from working and prompted to send report to HTC. I didn't think much of it because I was still able to boot. But I don't think wiping 'data' partition is harmful and I'm thinking this has to be it.
