hi, im using stock jvr + galaxianGT 1200Mhz. why dolphin hd,miren so laggy compare to stock browser? i just need the useragent option for my browser

+1 for dolphin Hd

+1 for dolphin Hd

I am using opera mobile on my GS

So its safe to say that both dolphin HD and opera are faster than the stock browser, even on odexed firmware? Sweet, I'll just have to try them out then. Thanks

opera mobile without any doubt!!!!!!

+1 opera mobile fast n smooth

Opera is very fast and smooth, however it doesn't give you the option to stream video only download it. This is when you use the stock browser to let the system know you want to stream

Opera Mobile it's really fast

I think dolphin browser is quite good.
It is easy to use.

stock browser.

Opera Mobile, their Data Compression system speeds things up x2.
My HTC Wildfire S runs MagicOS (Unicorn Hair, Rainbow Extract and Pixie Dust).

Since JVQ, and solved the deodexing issue, Stock Browser becomes faster and smoother.
No chance to the other browsers as Dolphin, Opera, Skyfire.
I think there is many users that haven't tried yet this browsing experience.
ChristhianC. -from my I9000 XDA Premium app

I also use Opera + Boat Browser (very fast and light too).

Tried everything, but nothi.g can beat smoothness of the JVQ+ stock browser.

JVQ, JVR stock browser, trust me, its really fast, panning, zooming, scrolling, no micro lag or lag at all.
i allready tried boat browser, opera mobile, dolphinHD, xscope (previously this my favorit). Now im using JVR stock browser.
Im totally agree with criscan (you guys should try it)

So far best browser i've tried is jvr stock one. Although it's even better if you use this modded stock one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1203881
with this mod so its lagfree when deodex:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212796
There is no lag at all

+1 stock browser. on jvr odexed rom it sooooo smooth :-D

[Q] Which web browser do you prefer?

I found the stock browser pretty dang good but it can't tab (can't figure out) so sometime I use dolphin mini. I found some custom roms preloaded with maxthon and also heard some people praised about the Opera, which I haven't try. Which one do you prefer?
Before I jumped to the dinc2 I used dolphin hd. But since the speed of the stock browser is pretty snappy here I now just use stock. As for tabs, there are no tabs in stock but you do have "windows". List press menu then press windows.
I always preferred dolphin because you can close the app whenever you want. The stock browser doesn't have this feature, i believe its "always" open. I've been told that it doesn't really matter because GB controls the memory for our phones pretty well, but I'm just OCD about that those kinds of things...
Xscope Pro is my fav just because it is the only browser with "Pin-to-zoom." This feature makes one-handed use a delight since double tap isnt always enough. It also has a file broswer and great bookmark tools. I really hope a new version comes out or Miren adds pin-to-zoom
Miren is amazing. If it had pin-to-soom and a working "'text selection" feature it would be hands down the best. It renders facebook the best and its main page and bookmaking and "one key backuping" are sweet.
Opera mini is allegedly/suppoosedl faster but i dont think os. I do like how selt-text and copy-paste work/look. wish i could set default download folder but that not a big deal.
Dolphine mini- not as many features as HD dolph but its fast and has enough featues to be mentione.
Also, stock MIUI is kinda sick.
FFbeta has soo much potential but needs flash support.
I've always liked the stock best, but after trying all the browsers I could find I like dolphin mini as a close second.

Boat Browser Mini is my fav
Stock here.
I like the stock miui browser, it feels very snappy and has a nice homepage layout.
Can't go wrong with Opera!

+1 for the Miui browser. Its one of the best but only available with the miui rom.
Stock works great, but I'm loving the latest release of Dolphin.
Wheres regular Opera not mini.
Thats the one I'm using. Really smooth and works great.
Am I the only one using Firefox mobile? Actually, don't use my browser much, but Firefox sync's all my bookmarks automatically between my Dinc2 and my desktop computer.
Whatever happened to chrome coming to the android platform? Once upon a time, there was talk...

Miren is very similar
The thing is Chrome would not truely be Chrome on our phones. Chrome is such a powerful browser because it opens each tab as a seperate process... It would be such a memory hog on the android so idk if it world work too well...

I was a big fan of it as well, until I tried Dolphin and Opera. They are both faster than the Miui browser.

It's not our kernel, it's chrome.

Scrolling and crashing are known bugs for chrome. It's just mainly optimized for the pure google devices for now.

I used to use Chrome on my CM9 powered GT 10.1, but I grew sick of the crashes and the absence of Flash support.
I have to be honest, I used Dolphin for a long time, have tried Opera and Firefox, but I always come back to the stock ICS browser.

Stock ICS browser is cool, but swap it out for AOSP browser...seems faster with a couple more features. Grab the one in the Frankenstein rom and while your there grab the AOSP MMS...much nicer.

Honestly, CM9 feels much more stable than TW ICS right now. I suggest you guys try it out and go on IRC for today's build, which can't get any better

Rom for gaming + decent browser on locked bootloader

First of all i want to apologize if any of my questions seem a little noob
I have still a locked bootloader (dont want to avoid warranty) and if i understand correctly i can only install roms 2.3.4 based, since i can't change kernel right? Wich is ok, cause i think ICS is not good enough for gaming experience.
Best roms available, like Xperia NXT or DIxperia 2 are great, but i was wondering is it possible to have a decent default browser too?
I mean, the best option will be having the default ICS Xperia browser (i test it on xperia mini pro official), but i understand that it's not possible to have that kind of smoothnes without video acceleration, so only ICS? On this matter, how can the Galaxy 2 (when still on 2.3.6) had a very smooth default browser, whithout video acceleration?
Why use stock browser when you have Dolphin Browser?

Since i was talkink about smoothnes, it doesn't matter. Dolphin uses the same engine of default browser, it's basically a skin. So, your Dolphin is smooth as Opera Mobile?
The latest Dolphin beta uses their own engine.

I can relate to needing the superior gaming of GB but missing the smooth browsing of ICS. And Opera Mobile being the best browser of a bad bunch on GB.
I'm a bit weird in liking a particular old version of Opera Mobile 11, why not try it? :fingers-crossed: I still think it's smoother than the new Dolphin beta and lets you scroll diagonally:
http://www.freewarelovers.com/android/download/temp/1310050386_Opera_Mobile_11.10.ADR-1107051709.apk
Honestly though, I ended up using Opera Mini since it's by far the fastest of all, and just keep whatever other full-fat browser around for when I need one. It's sad though cos I know from using ICS the device can do better.
Dont hate on me, i have tried CM7 and TA but this one is best, + i tried Gin2JB too, and it sucks for gaming.

Stock browser still in 4.2.2?

I use the 4.1.2 stock browser and i think thats the fastest and most stable browsers out there. I also like that i can have full screen
But i've heard that google plans or have replaced the stock browser with chrome in 4.2.2? Is that true? It the stock browser gone in the SGS4 with 4.2.2 fw?
Chrome for me is just super laggy and slow with no support for full screen

well on theory the browser is Samsung's stuff not google so i would like to believe that the browser will not be changed, it is really awesome and I talk with the experience of having had to change my stock browser in all my previous devices because they were terrible.
hope It helped to you, if someone know it for sure I'll be glad to read it.

Which browser for Nexus

I am on unofficial Liquidsmooth 3.2 with fancy r56 and I am looking for the best browser with no lag at startup and not UI refresh at closure.
By now the best is native browser then Opera. Worse are Chrome, Dolphin and Firefox.
Can I speed up these browser with some settings? Which browser do you have?
Sorry for my English

Another vote for CM Browser.
Cm is the best by now, thanks
im currently using atlas browser. sastisfied for now.
Default browser is the fastest, but Firefox has addons and isn't far behind in performance
For me the best is opera
Also Firefox seems to be ok: on testing
I really advice you to edit your thread. Just ask the last question from the op. There is no best in anything. Everyone has a different taste. There is no best ROM, no best kernel and no best browser.
