Tried searching for an answer to my problem but no solution has popped up. If anyone can help it would be great
I have installed LeeDroid 3.3.3. (did a full wipe and wiped cashe) and have not restored any system data. The battery drain on screen off (using SetCPU) is between 5-7 mA and when using the phone between 110-200 mA. This seems high and if anyone has any ideas what to do it would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Using the phone = screen is on = high power consumption. That's the downside of having a 4.3" screen. Your power drain seems totally normal to me, unless your phone shuts down within 5 hours of standby etc.
Thanks for the quick reply I should have mentioned that I didn't use battery monitor for a while so the figures seemed to high. Well, I learn something new every day, thank again.

Hi all,
I'm new to ROMing. This afternoon I successfully flashed my HTC Desire with LeeDroid 2.4 ROM. I did so after wiping all user data, Dalv cache as well as battery cache.
I'm not sure if it is normal, but having been using the room for the past 6 hrs, I realized my battery is facing drainage faster than when I was using stock rom, although i have done all the setting to prevent drainage. Within 15 min of screen on for whatsapping, my battery can drop around 3-5%. Looking at the battery history, it say Cell Standy uses 30%, Android system using 31% and Phone Idle 27%. are all this statistics considered normal?
In addition, each time i load an app and press "back" to return to home screen, the system will show "Loading..." for around 5s while the home screen loads up (this does not happen when in stock rom). I'm not sure whats wrong with my device now.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I realized my 2nd issue was to the HTC Sense Launcher. But I have no idea why it is happening so. Anyone have such issue?
Hi everyone
Just had a bit of a problem with my Desire HD. I had my alarm set to 7, it came on at 6. Then it wouldnt unlock. I pressed the power button to turn the screen on, the bottom buttons came on but the screen stayed blank. Then I had to take the battery out and put it back in to get back into it. Then I changed the SetCPU settings to go a bit higher when the screen is off because I thought that might have been the issue. They were set at 245MHz min and 500-something maximum when the screen was off. Now I have them set 200MHz higher on each.
Strangely, it also consumed 30% of the battery overnight which is really strange considering I only flashed this latest LeeDroid like 6 hours prior to it and only installed 1 application - Current Widget.
Is there something that can cause all these things to occur? Alarm coming on earlier than usual, huge battery consumption and no display?
I am currently calibrating the battery so could that have caused it? Unlikely I think but possible? By calibrating I mean deleting the battery file, draining it and charging it up again. Currently at 55% battery remaining.
Sorry about the long read
i have some strange issues with the batterij also,
have cleared the battery status (cwm in recovery)
but when i do a full charge on 25% the batterij drains as hell
maybe the battery is broke ?
recalibrate also not working
only standard widgets no apps
anyone any ideas ?
Have you ever tried wipe data/reset to factory in CWM? This is sometimes painful, but the last resort.
The first time I had similar experience was I upgraded from Coredroidroms 6.8 to 7.0 without fully wiping. All hell broke loose. Battery was drained in a record time. Eventually I had to do what was required to wipe all data.
If you flashed Leedroid cleanly but still had problems. Chances were these are hardware-related issues.

Please can I get some assistance, I cannot for the life of me figure out what has happened.
LeeDroid 3.3 latest.
I have gone from 48h standby to 14h. During use it's depleted in a matter of hours, it's incredibly low in relativity to what I'm used to.
I was on LeeDroid 3.0.2 previously and battery life was VERY long, I loved it - going back to this version doesn't help and the battery issue remains, and therefore it also remains on the newest build.
Previously I was running a bucket load of apps/games with normal 50% brightness, I have resorted to deleting apps/keeping tasks closed but to no avail. The Statistics for battery usage seem to look similar to how it used to be before, with display taking up a large chunk.
I tried the battery trick today but it hasn't helped. My phone has already gone to 98% (40m uptime) with screen turned off + SetCPU set at powersave/lowest mhz while screen is off.
I hope you can help, Thanks.
This does happen sometimes, not sure what causes it but a wipe and reflash sorts it out for me.
What kernel are you using? Have you made any recent changes before massive drain started happening?
Try monitor the current using current widget. If it's normal, around 1-4ma during standby, perhaps, your battery need calibrated. If it didn't resolve your problem, then, maybe the battery is dead.

I dont think this is the problem because when it happens to mine it just happens by itself after a few weeks of having the ROM installed with very few extra applications which I install immediately.
anyone know if the proximity sensor is classed under display? could be that thats stuck on. got any apps that use or used the proximity sensor? or maybe the touch screen is stuck on.
have you tried removing the SD card? see if its something on there.
Well I reinstalled Leedroid with the recommended rom and although the battery life is nowhere near what it was previously... its at a respectable 22h or so... enough to give me time to actually find a fix...
Theres no apps, nothing, just the rom and its apps so I will try it without SD card also, i dont understand how to check for proximity sensor though
Thanks
I have a problem with latest version of Android Revolution HD 6.1.0.
Yesterday afternoon I fully charged my phone and used it only a little bit until I went to bed and turned the phone off.
Today when I turned my phone on again (fastboot) I was shocked: Battery was at 25%.
How can the battery drain that fast over night while turned off?
I am using the correct Radio (12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19_M), Superwiped before flashing new version of ARHD and also cleaned battery stats when it was fully charged.
Can you please help me finding out what is causing this?
I´m not getting that much battery life out of my HTC Desire HD either when running ARHD 6.1.0 ... Is there any RADIO that could help?
Weird - I have similar problem with 6.1 Revolution.
Battery seems fine all day, put it on my bedside table last night at over 80% battery...woke up this morning with 2% battery left!!
really weird.
Matt
I'm gonna download Current Widget now and enable the log option and see what is happening in the log overnight.
Post the log up then and see if someone can take a look.
Any news about this? I feel that mine is dropping rather fast aswell..
Saturday i installed 6.1, installed applications and used the phone.. At a total screen was on for 4 hours... After a total of 5 hours, the phone was down to 15% battery...
Does application installation take that much or is something not quite right? I feel that i had more batterytime with 5.2.4..
Now i can basically see the battery values dropping while using the phone.. I have current widget and sometimes when i start the screen and go to home screen it says way above 500mA, is this right?
Well i don't have any issues, while using ARHD 6.1 with the recommended Radio

How have you managed to have Display use up so little battery?
Mine always has about 75% and up, at the least...
I use Autobrightness with no Mod for lower Autobrightness.
I have nothing changed.
Flashed recommended Radio.
Flashed ARHD 6.1.
Done.
As you can see some harder Battery drops, while i was playing some Games. All time WLAN on. But i used it als always and had a very nice Battery expand.
Hmm, How much time is your display turned on? as i said, this saturday after i had flashed i emptied the battery in about 5 hours with screen on 4 of those.. Feels like the screen is taking alot of battery but i guess.. I had full brightness, not auto..
I don't know exactly but i would say display was active vor 15h+.
Autosync runs every 3h.
If you freshly flashed, it will take some time to stabilize. So maybe drain it until its empty/almost empty(10%) then get a full charge. Try to reboot and watch again. If you still have problems you schould install current widget and let i generate log. where you can see how much it drain if display is off and/or phone is standby.
If I put on screen from standby and check current widget i have 3mA/5mA. So if display is off the drain is very low.
Hi everyone!
I'm using JellyTime 4.2.2R8 on my DHD.
It's working fast but battery drain so much.
Ex: I only view screen, scroll something. Everage 1 minute, battery degree 1-2%
Who can help optimize this problem?, thanks!

Hi,
I installed JellyTime R8 on Monday evening, and I haven't experienced such a battery drain so far, it goes down a bit faster than my stock Gingerbread+Sense ROM. I might have other stats issues (wrong "on battery" duration, charge stuck at 90%...), but no drain so far.
I am not well experienced in flashing ROMs and how to solve problems, but I have seen lots of people advising to flash the battery stats and recalibrate. But you need a few complete charge/discharge cycles to make it work properly. (But according to a few other people, it's a kind of religious belief too...)
You can also install a more precise battery stats app. I saw a more detailed message in Jellytime Dev thread (in one of the last pages). If I find it again, I let you know.

I cannot find again the thread/post where I saw this information, but the application some people advise to use is BetterBatteryStats.
To give you a counter example: since I flashed JellyTime R8 (Monday 20th Mai, 23h GMT+1), I fully charged my phone only twice.
The first discharge took almost a day (but I used it a lot, configuring and playing with the new features).
The second discharge started 33 hours ago and I still have 50% as we speak. Maybe the stats are wrong, but the phone is still ON after 33hours. I'll let you know how long it lasts.
I am on GSM roaming all day long, but my phone stays most of the time in standby mode.
A few things that I've done to optimize the battery life:
- remove the constant location-tracking, both GPS and 3G (especially as GPS is not working since I flashed JT R8);
- remove permanent/auto 3G connection, as I am spending all the day abroad, it is useless to keep 3G activated, without data roaming on.
Go in Settings/location and switch the toggle off.
Go in Settings, expand Wireless and Networks (Plus), then Mobile Networks and untick the first box (my ROM is in french so I am not 100% sure of the translation, it might be something like Activate Data)

Thanks Matth59 !
I toggled off some setting in phone (GPS, MobileData, effect screen, animation, turn off notification some app...)
But but it does not improve the problem of battery.
I charged full battery, after 24minutes
Saw status of battery on 24m19s, (95%)
Screen 70% (I set bright of screen about 20-30%)
Cell standby 6%
Android system 5%
Phone idle 5%
Wifi 3%
Facebook 3%
Android OS 2%
Media server 2%

And how long does it usually take for it to be discharged?
The second time I charged it, it said that charge was complete and stopped charging at 90%, and I got the impression that it reached that level quite fast. But the device is still on, after 38 hours.
I hope somebody with more experience in that field can give you a better advice or more information, than just flashing the battery stats and recalibrate it.
After one week of using R8, this is how battery is going for me.
On standby, it can last as long as it used to with the stock Sense + Gingerbread ROM (or even a bit more, but maybe because I haven't reinstalled all my apps).
When using the phone, battery life is going down quite fast, and I am not sure if it can last more than 1 day of normal use (3g, mails, messages, calls...).
The most battery consuming task is the screen. It makes me wonder if it could be related to the feature that was introduced by Google since JellyBean 4.1: Project Butter, which makes everything smooth in Android.
