Is it possible?

Currious why you'd want it, considering we have a dedicated led specifically for notifications.
O you mean that tiny green light hidden in the speaker grate ? And miss it lol was great on the fassy
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA Premium App
Yea, I guess it is a little small. On the other hand, when I used BLN on the Fascinate, every time I got an email right after I fell asleep, the backlights would stay on all night long and by morning my battery was dead, so personally, I much prefer a small led to killing my battery.
The led on the Dinc 2 is Way better than the original Dinc. Just be glad we don't have that led

I received my refurb and I noticed that while on a call, the proximity sensor I think it's called, the one that turns the screen off while on call, I can literally see the red light, and it turn off when phone call is over.. did I miss this on my first phone, can anyone else see it, are my eyes special?
in my case, it is blue... :-D
if you pay attention to che mic on the top of the dinc2, you can see that it is perfectly up the sensor so, if you point the mic to a direct light source and look at the phone, you can see the red lens.
in y case it is blue because i have a transparent blue cover ... i noticed it in my car when , after a call, i have it in my hand and the light of the car is on....
i wish it can help :-D
I haven't noticed it with the DINC2 yet, but my D2G had the same thing. Never noticed the correlation, but it makes sense. The light is probably used with the prox sensor.
EDIT: Used Elixir just now, and best I can figure, it's used to as part of the prox sensor. I did see it when I turned the sensor on, so the sensor is likely only activated normally during a phone call.
I only see it when on a call, once hitting end button it turns off. I don't know if it's normal, or my eyes are special or something, but I had it on two refurbs, and I might go to the store to see if this is something that is normal, otherwise hopefully new phone
I'm fairly certain it's normal, although it goes unnoticed by most people. I recently received 4 "like new" fascinates and each of them have the red flickering you described.
Yours shouldn't be a refurb and yes that's normal from all my phones at least

Why shouldn't it be a referb..mine is
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA Premium App
Because they are sending out brand new ones as refurbs. I thought so after all three I received through the mail were brand new until this fourth one.

My charge lights have been flashing back and forth from green to orange when I am in the car. What does that mean? Cheap car charger?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Sounds like it. I would try a different one and see if it makes a difference. I bought the cheapest one I could find and I've never had that problem.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
sounds to me like a bad connection somewhere
From my past experiences the orange and green flashing light means the device has reached a critical temperature and charging ability has been suspended momentarily until the device reaches a suitable temperature.

Agreed. However, I think we should email HTC on this matter... I would like to know every possible factor of why the light turns green. why it turns red. Also, I would like a change as well.. I would like it if the light didn't stay green while the phone is plugged in and I just get a message. I would like it to blink in some way like 3 fast flashes. or something like that.
Could be temp. I live in AZ. It was 102 today. I think I was charging and surfing a bit. I have never seen my OEM charger do that tho. I will swap back and see

oh after you just said that... IT IS the temp. lol. IN OTHER WORDS. keep the phone cool. can't leave it on a dash or in a car. it will overheat. It has NOTHING to do with the charger.
Keeping anything cool in Arizona, in July, is not easy! I can't walk outside with the phone for five minutes without it getting up to 100+ degrees. If its in the sun for even a minute... Forget it.
It has been over 100 for something like forty days in a row.

Hi I just got mine sgs2 white and when I use the camera I'm seeing a big green spot in the middle of the screen. How can I fix that
So mad

Trust me, its not too hard to search before posting. From the top of my head, I can think of at least 5 threads that have been made regarding this very issue.
Deal with it, its normal for this phone.
its normal for a lot of phones even lame iphones do it

I came from the Galaxy S3. Traded for the Optimus yesterday. So far I love it! I do tons of gaming and it feels so much smoother than my S3 did. The keyboard is the ONLY issue I have found so far, it has a very hard time keeping up with me. Lol. What's your thoughts on the most powerful phone in 'Murica?

check out SwiftKey 3 if you're looking for a legitimately good keyboard, its prediction and auto correction features are ridiculously good.
as for the phone, I've got to say it's the best phone I've ever had, and I've had couple of android phones before this (came from the Epic 4G Touch) and also have had iPhone, and none of those are even close to the experience I've gotten on LGOG.

Yea I went from the iPhone 5 > Galaxy s3 > Optimus G and feels like the best choice I've made.

anyone worried about it breaking at all? Having any issues?
The ONLY issue I notice is it runs a little warm BUT I do have a high amount of screen on time. Other than that, I use mine without a case and all and haven't dropped it yet. No weird creaks and seems very well built. I'm in love with the design.

If you want a phone that runs hot, try the Evo3D. I swear, if my heat ever went out in my house, all I had to do was drill the processor in that for a few minutes. Accidently left mine under my pillow one time when it was charging. Got so hot, it burned my face when I tried to make a phone call. I stream Netflix alot, and it got uncomfortable to hold it. This phone runs like a liquid-cooled dream compared to that.

Yea, honestly my S3 ran way warmer than this OG. But even with the heat it is still the best phone I've ever used, and I think mine runs warm because I have so much screen-on time

Also came from the s3. Love this phone except for the audio. S3 was crisper and louder. LG is boomy, as if its compressing the music before outputting it.

My LG has better audio than my S3 but gaming audio on my S3 was better.

Should have stated that the music output quality was worst. The call audio is great.
I don't know if mine is defective or not. But the color isn't pure white from what I see on the nexus 4 in videos. I think it should be the same right?
Its more of a yellowish tint?
There is no spec on the color of the light, and what the nexus 4 does is irrelevant. If it lights up at the right time it is fine.

People are honestly finding every last thing that they can to complain about this tablet. Did you buy the tablet to look at the notification light, or to actually use the tablet?

I kinda agree with what you say, except that when you buy something "expensive", your expectations are high and you want something perfect (i don't own the nexus 7 so i don't know how should it be) but if the led isn't showing the right color, it's something to care about, though it's a small defect..
I also see what you're saying, but like the poster above me said, there is no specification on the notification light, so there isn't much you can do. Some people have notification LEDs that don't even work apparently. Since the reality is that this generation seems to be having many build quality issues, it doesn't seem like it's worth taking the chance to return it, even though OP probably can't over this issue anyway.

Lol, I could say that people are honestly finding every last way to justify the crappy build quality of this device...

Is that supposed to qualify as a useful post? At least I tried to provide some actual information in mine.

Mine is more eggshell white but remember its only a ~$200 tablet and LG probably uses different LEDs that may be tuned to a more brilliant white
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
It's funny I didn't even know I had a notification light until one day I left my tablet sitting there and got a notification while the screen was off. So I believe it only works when when screen is off it's the only time I've seen it go off.... It's on the bottom of the screen right under the button bar (back, home, and recents button). I have been flashing ROMs, kernels, modifying my system to my liking, and trying different things so I never even noticed the light lol.
