Please make sure you are using the multiloader 5.65 included with bada 2.0 firmwares. Also make sure you have successfully installed the drivers also included in the bada 2.0 package.
You may likely experience "serial port" error if you had previously flashed a bada 1.2 firmware and now wish to flash to bada 2.0. If this is the case, just unplug USB and reconnect phone again. Your PC will automatically pick the right port by now.
If the problem is with the firmware, try to redownload the firmware from samfirmware.
Best of luck.

KH2 dont have the USB drivers included last time I checked.
Just saying

yes im use new drivers and this same @ KF3

Install the drivers that came with bada 2.0 beta firmwares (S8500XPKH3). Restart pc. Then try again. I expect it should work fine as long as all needed drivers are installed successfully.

ye it was worked ^^

i780 Flash issue

When I try to flash using Mirage using i780PUHE1 it errors out on the phone portion. Anyone know why this happens? I've flashed EFN's ROMS before with success.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
You'll need the modem drivers. Search the forum for them, they are req'd only when flashing the phone bin.
Could be modem drivers
Could be your OS
Could be the bin file contains only the pda portion

Try 1 computer with XP OS. Install the modem drivers, it should be able to work.
Alternatively, you can search for i780 flash with Vista.
Hope this helps.

I'll give it a try, thanks for the quick reply. I did a search and download the drivers from the link below, still failed. I'll let you know if it works in XP.

[Q] Camera update problem

hi all
a friend of mine tried to update his camera and it just bricked
he tried the fix on badaforums.net but it didn't help
any suggestions as fix using PSAS or what ever
the fix i mentioned is done by using Stune or Tk_file_explorer
you can find it on this link http://www.badaforums.net/forums/samsung-wave-tutorials/solution-camera-failed-t1615.html
so any thoughts will help
http://www.samfirmware.com/apps/blog/show/4942348-update-camera-fw-s8500
Maybe same, but maybe more Pictures.
I've NEVER tried this. I can only remember that once I see some Cam Error on my Test Wave...
But for my Test Wave I've used only Multiloader and flashed different Firmware from old to new or back to old Firmware... and it seems. Some internal mechanism force the Cam to autoupdate...
No idea how and when...
I only know, that you can't choose. And this is bad.
My Test Waves Cam is alive, but no idea how and when ... it repairs self.
Best Regards
Maybe we find one day. How it works, that Firmwareupdate forced also CAM to update...
As I nearly never use CAM on my Test Wave and also never did Masterreset or something like that.... Then maybe Fullflash with Multiloader is the reason?
And after initial blabla CAM is forced to autoupdate without chance that user can choose something...
Best Regards
So should i tell him to do a downgrade with a full firmware flash??
i saw another thread where people said that worked for them
what is your opinion adfree??
My opinion.
1.
Be sure, this Cam Error is after Firmware update via Multiloader or maybe Kies?
Hmmmm... maybe Kies force Cam Update?
I can't remember what I did before.
But my first try was to downgrade my Firmware with Multiloader.
I have somewhere Screenshot, I will upload soon...
2.
If this come after Update... then try first to go back to prior Firmware.
I'm NOT talking about CAM Firmware.
I only know that 1 user tried many things. I don't know in which order. But ever failed to repair Cam on S8530...
Only Samung Service was able to do this.
I hope your friend have more luck.
Best Regards
thanks adfree
the problem occured when he tried to upgrade the Cam fw from the hidden menu
i'll tell him to downgrade his firmware to the prior one and see if this fixes the problem
and i'll report right here the results
by the way he has a S8500
Heelp
Hi guys,
I've kinda got the same problem.
I've bought the Samsung Wave S8500 by ordering it on the internet, and came with the camera failed problem. Initial firmware was S8500BVJF1 / Bada 1.0. I've tried uploading camera fix s8500.rar files to the phone but it didn't work. So I tried upgrading it to the latest firmware using Samsung Kies. Now the firmware version is: S8500BVJK1 / Bada 1.0. Tried the patch process again and still didn't work.
From what I can see it's something wrong with phone reading the bin files (?). After I upload the .bin files if i try the *#17932864# thing and go to "(6)Video -> (3) Camera firmware -> (1) Phone/Cam FW Ver check" I get "ERROR: can't read version info". Then if I chose "(2) Phone to Cam FW Write" I get Phone to Cam FW Write [FAILED]. So my guess the format of the bin files might be different from what the current firmware expects. Ah also, the (4) FW Write Count is set to (00) : (00).
So the questions / requests are:
1. Do I need perhaps Bada 1.2 for the those files to work correctly?
2. Could you guys upload me some of your camera firmware bin files that work for you along with the name of the phone firmware version you are using (it would be ideal if somebody had S8500BVJK1 along with camera files that work).
3. If anyone else had this issue and got it resolved pleaaase help. S8500 is a great phone with a great camera and it would be a pitty if it didn't work.
Thanks,
Waiting for suggestions
well, a while ago when i corrupted my Bada OS booting a certain config of the Linux kernel my camera wasn't working after reflash, in the end i fixed it by doing a FULL reflash, then a Factory reset, then the camera app worked, and continued to do so after doing camera firmware update too.

Hi. You need to be in odin download mode. Not cwm.
you also have the wrong image. You said you would like to have ......MG8
you need to uncheck F..
on your screenshot i miss the connection to your fone
Have you installed kies with driver and closed the kies process in the taskmanager of your pc?

I cant find UAMG8 for NEE (nordic regions) there is only UAMG4 avalible what I can see..
Hi, you have now 2 Options.
1st Options take the newest NEE (G4)
2nd Options take a newer one from another Country . G8 or H1 Take one from a Country with the same language.
because in each Rom are all languages but you can only see a few of them. In Germany i have all enabled.
I think stock are only 3 or 4 languages visual.
But in any way you Need the hole Image with about 900mb. The new kernal is alwas included you do not Need to update the kernal seperate.

Odin FAIL

Hi guys,
I've just rooted my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and I'm trying to flash in a firmware downloaded from Sammobile, I've tried to use Odin 3.07 and 3.09 but in both always appears to me a FAIL message, I've tried to plug and unplug the tablet from my pc many times but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I followed all the instructions I found but nothing happens.
Have you tried to re-downloading the rom and trying again? Check if your drivers are installed correctly and the only thing I would suggest is downloading the same tab s rom but like a UK version or..

Not to sound repetitive of what others have already suggested, but there is definitely logic in re-downloading a ROM in that some downloads get accidentally corrupted in the transfer process. Hence the purpose of the md5 validity check. Also, in searching for Samsung usb drivers for the sm-t800 I came across at least 3 bundles having different drivers and quantities within them. The 1st one recognized the tablet but not Odin. The 2nd one recognized both, but Odin kept failing. Needless to say that after the 1st two bundles didn't work I thought that I had not followed the instructions carefully. That I had done something wrong, so I kept trying with those same crappy drivers again and again until someone suggested I try to download them again. I realized I hadn't tried the 3rd bundle yet. When I did, everything worked great.
In other words, never be reluctant when things fail, to try a different approach or to start all over again from scratch.
Hope this helps.

Wave S8500 Bada 1.0 Help

I just got this phone from my mom, looks great, works just fine.. only problem is the os.. no whatsapp etc.
I've found quite a few vids and tutorials from Ice and Hero, however I get stuck and cannot progress.
I've downloaded the bada 2.0 (standard) firmware, but when I plug the phone into my PC (in download mode), Multiloader v5.67 does NOT detect any port. I'm assuming this is relating to a missing driver.. I'm running windows 8 (64bit). How do I find the necessary driver?
I tried installing samsung kies, but when I connect it, it just gives me the "connecting" screen, but it never actually connects...
Samsung Wave GT-S8500 comes with bada 1.0, so that is the current firmware. Did I skip a step by not updating to bada 1.2 first? If so, please help me with some directions or links to installing em.
What android version should I install? I've seen Carbon, Omni? Please recommend.
Thanks in advance
