Hey, i am new to xda and would like to flash a sense 2.1 rom. I found the SFM 1.1 rom but unfortunatly the link is broken, and i cant report it there since i havent posted 10 times. Can anyone reupload sfm 1.1 or maybe send a working link?
Link (Mediafire) works here. You might want to check again.
Im getting this ''HTTP 404 - Object Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.'' error. Should i try download directly from my wildfire?
Just tried from my wildfire, same problem Could someone please find the time to reupload? I would be very grateful and be sure to give you a ''thanks''
You do know that sfm 1.1 is still incomplete, i.e things still need resizing and certain things aren't working. I'd try a stable Rom first.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA Premium App
ofc i know, i have ran roms before so i know that bugs do happen and certain things dont work, however im still willing to try it out.. if only the link worked for me..

it works...........

Hey y'all! I did a whole guide of using the Vanilla MMS app on HTC Sense, it was a SUCCESS! Soo now, I was wondering if someone could see if the DIALER on the Vanilla ROM can work with the HTC Sense ROM.
So basically, I am needing someone to Extract the Vanilla (or other ROM) Dialer and put it on the Sense UI ROM. Somehow, my phone has different settings, so I can do this myself.
If you find out, please provide the APK and a guide if possible!!
This should be fairly easy and possible. Should be just like porting the MMS on Vanilla to HTC Sense! I need testers! Thanks guys!
Hope you like my guide on Vanilla MMS on HTC Sense! thanks all!
PS. Is it possible for Vanilla Gallery to work on Sense UI? I will be testing this tomorrow, also, I will keep this thread updated! Thanks!!
Also, if anyone has CM and whatever kinds of ROMS out there, If they can post their Dialer.apk's or apk's related to dialers/phones that would be AWESOME thanks!
Anyone know how to BOLD the Title? I kinda FAILED at it! hhahah thanks guys!
I will test anything you want i HATE the sense dialer!

I can't remember now, but a while ago I used the contacts.apk and phone.apk from an aosp rom (don't remember which one) on a sense rom (not sure which one either, maybe it was Tainted Vanilla).
You can try ripping those apks from and eclair (not froyo) rom and seeing if they work, or download the old Tainted Vanilla rom (maybe even one of the new ones) and see which dialer they use.

maybe rip the contacts.apk and phone.apk from CyanogenMod-6.1 for Vision :: V6.1.0-RC2 and give that a shot.
btw: you can download the rom, un-zip them and navigate to system/app/ and grab the apk's from there, That is what I did for the vanilla Mms.apk
thanks Wheeliest! You never disappoint me! hah
Also, if anyone has CM and whatever kinds of ROMS out there, If they can post their Dialer.apk's or apk's related to dialers/phones that would be AWESOME thanks!

Cool! thanks for the support guys! A little mistake I did.. i didn't copy the Contacts.apk haha soo if someone can copy that and maybe the lib file like shortlived says! thanks guys! lets make this into a reality!
edited because i found my mistake....also any luck?
Here is what ive gotten to work so far... I found a replacement dialer here http://androidforums.com/eris-all-things-root/59459-replace-htc-dialer-dialerone-vanilla-clone.html
Download that file there then take these steps
1. change file name to com.android.htcdialer.apk
2. get your phone into recovery and mount the /system
3. adb push com.android.htcdialer.apk /system/app/
4. restart phone and your good to go.
be warned this does not get you the stock dialer. This is a clone type app which does look very similar but it has a few bugs. the main ones being it still uses the htc contacts app to add info and whatnot. i will play with this some more and see if i can't get it to work better by changing over the contacts.apk however I see a LOT of things all tied together with sense so i'm not sure how much more we will be able to do. it might be eaiser to just make a better clock/weather/animations and drop the sense ui all together.
My god.
["b] initiates the bold and ["/b] terminates it. (get rid of the " when ur acutally doing it)
why would u [b/] and then type ur message?
ur just initiating it and then terminating it...

Having ported a GB ROM i figured i'll try my hand at a froyo port,
searched through the cdma threads again
and found a Froyo rom built by jaybob one of the cdma's finest developers
n began porting it
this is an aosp rom and is very much stable for daily use
for the moment i've only ported the black version and default version of the rom m hoping as time passes by i'll port all the themed versions found in the original thread
The original thread is over Here!
Now on to the ROM
I've added in the basic gapps package for ease of downloads
FroYo 2.2.1 CM6.2.0 stable[Default edition
FroYo 2.2.1 CM6.2.0 stable[Black Edition]
if you want full gapps just wipe cache and dalvik before you flash after 1st reboot
Full Gapps Package
i missed out provisions.apk
so plz flash this after flashing rom
Provisions-update PLZ Flash!
added email application in attachments
although i've added in the basic gapps package plz flash the full gapps package simply because i tend to make mistakes
Themes and fixes Made by Habarug for this ROM(Nice work and a big thank you to Habarug)
ICS THEME
Naked simplicity
Mod for the pulldown bar
Thanks to jaybob and elelinux based on whose roms this port was made

Compared to Decked ? Hmm, difficult to say at this stage. Feels fast and definately lighter. Apps2SD works BTW as does GPS Google Nav. Am still at work and now V. low on battery so have stopped fiddling till i get home to my charger.
So far would have to say this is at least as fast as any froyo i've used with my usual setup.
This one feels really good Will try it for a while, and if i still like it i will mash together a theme to make it complete for me
well, this ROM is very smooth, feels quick enough for daily use..
experienced no lags so far,we'll see how it runs in the next few days..
now if only Habarug ports his ICS theme from VE6 (as look is not really an upside of this room )
lol ur running the black edition or default?
Default.I just dont like the statusbar actually .
Would like to try black but dont like to restore all the apps again. Lazy lazy

Hello,
I flashed the latest PVRTeam RunnyDroid rom on my desireZ, i find it quite good, fast andsmooth and not too much bugs, tried virtuous infinity but it always freezed for a while after installing. My problem here is backlight especially keybord, i read on the thread that flashin RC Tweaks would help get over that, but i dont know how to do it, i got a zip file and all but do not know how to get it to work.
Flash the zip the way you would a rom

I did it, but since i found nothing on my phone after that, dunno is there a new menu in parameters or somewhere? and is it possible to have a link to those tweaks, maybe i have a wrong file
and thanks for the help
I found this freefire mod by benjamingwynn, but unfortunately the link for download is dead. Could someone please send me a new link or perhaps upload it somewhere on internet.... Please, I really need it

hi,
i was able to download his files from github and make a flashable zip-file which you can flash via cwm-recovery. it runs really fine, u can choose what you want during the installation but the most annoying thing is that the wifi isn`t working ( for me). I can upload my flashable zip-file if u want!
all right…. as i still have no priviliges to post in the dev-section here the link…
i hope benjamingwynn isn`t getting mad at me ( big props to him). maybe someone can fix the wifi-issue.
so here is the zip-file i made to flash via cwm. it`s about 600 mb because it`s for more htc devices than the wildfire s. ( remove one slash after http as i am still not able to post links! sorry admins!)
All right i can't post links because im under 10 post! what should i do… SPAM around untill i have 10 posts?
I just flashed Kendall123's Jellybread rom and discovered that the PayPal app is not supported on 2.3.7 gingerbread. Does anyone out there have an old APK that might work?
Thanks!

Try this one
I get " application not installed".
Did you reboot after installing it?
Or try fixing permissions?
I have done both. I also tried copying it to /system/app and setting permissions there. Still no luck.
Hmm, weird. I know that's the one I used on GB, too
I found version 2.2 here that works, however version 2.0 and 2.5 do not. I wonder if it is something on the build.prop on this particular ROM.
Hmm, possibly. That's cool you found one that works!
Thanks for the assist! I appreciate the help with my noob problem.
No prob. I just flashed Jellybread tonight and I have a handful of apps that are giving me the same error :/
