Did you wipe dalvik cache and regular cache?
Did you install a kernel or just the stock kernel?
What ROM?

Alright, no big deal, it's not a requirement.
Try using VR superwipe to completely wipe it.
Redownload the ROM zip and place it on the SDCARD.
Flash the VR superwipe zip.
Flash the ROM and then reboot and see if that solves your issue.
Keep in mind that your first boot can take around 10 minutes in some cases.

Oh sorry, you said you HAVE a backup on your SDCARD.
You can have multiple backups, yes.
But why would you back this up if it doesn't work properly?
Just try the method I gave you and see what happens.

If all else fails, restore your previous backup and THEN flash Amon RA:

Used to have similar issues as you bro, amon is such a better recovery system. Do it.

Pull the battery and no it will not cause any damage.
"Bricking" a phone can really only occur if you're modifying the recovery/hboot/radio etc and something goes wrong [such as a loss of power]

I put in the Q&A PLEASE HELP!!!!
Guessing youre rooted and Custom ROM
Boot to recovery from there wipe your Data/Cache/ then go advanced and wipe your Dalvich Cache...after doing this re install your ROM that you have on your SD after first intial boot sequence all the way through skipping the set ups...once done boot back to recovery and reboot from there again...this should help if it don't then you have a corrupt file...
If this is the case depending on your recovery with in your Recovery toggle the usb> downlaod another ROM and then re toggle> re flash...

Di2 incredibly slow

I woke up today, discovered my phone getting it's @$$ kicked by nothing literally. It wasn't touched at all. Even during the night nothing was running I make sure to close all things before I set my phone down, anyways getting on with it.. It is just SO sluggish words cannot describe how sluggish it is right now. I've wiped everything and tried a new rom with no success, still doing the same thing. Anyone know why this is happening? Hardware issues?

Just flash that in recovery then flash your desired rom.

Phone stuck in boot animation

So last night I left my phone off and on charge to charge my main battery. I went to turn it on this morning and it won't get past the boot animation, even after 20 minutes. I've tried booting with both batteries, with no luck. I'm currently running PitchBlack 2.0 (4.2.2) and haven't had this sort of problem until now. I tried wiping cache+dalvik and that didn't work. I've left my phone sitting for a while still with no luck. Any suggestions? I wanna try everything before I try resetting my phone.

first try to let your phone sit for minutes without battery
if not, reflash your rom, or push kernel to your sd card and flash it

And flashing the kernel did nothing. I'm gonna wait and see if any more suggestions come up. If not I'll do a full wipe and either flash a new rom or PitchBlack 2.1.

If this doesn't help and you are already on the stock rom, you could lock your bootloader and send the GNEX back under warranty..?

Need someone to test my CM10.1 build

Hi i just setup a fresh build environment in ubuntu 13.04, and i wanted to make sure everything was working so i decided to build for an officially supported device rather than mine (which is unsupported). I synced the CM10.1 repo (today) and compiled. I have made no changes...its just stock CM10.1.
If someone with some free time could try this out to make sure it boots and nothing seems weird, that would be awesome. I just want to confirm that ive got the basics down, before i start to build for unsupported devices.
Thanks in advance.

This is why I prefer CWM, you don't get touch happy and wipe your phone. Volume buttons are a PITA, but you have to make purposeful movements and you avoid disaster.
