I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the Phone Identity -> Model Number information. Currently the ROM states that the phone is still a HTC Sensation Z710e and I wanted to change it to HTC Incredible 2. I was looking through the build.prop for this, but noticed that everything is already set for the INC2 (vivow, ADR6350, etc). Anyone know what string this area is set to read from? Think it will cause any issues changing the name? I figured it wouldn't since it would just be a text string it is reading.
Also, if I use the DLNA functionality in the HTC Music player it states the name of the phone is "Sensation", wasn't sure if this text string was located in the HTC Music player apk or if it is being referenced else where.

I have the same question like you. Mine was Incredible S and changed to HTC Sensation. I was wondering if this is normal after installing the ROM

Hi All,
I'm looking into an issue in VillainROM where the browser reports the device to be a Motorola Droid / Verizon Droid with larger screen res. than the hero has. This causes issues with some google sites.
I'm trying to find the user agent string of the browser, so I can change it. But I'm not after the about:debug way to change the string. I'm trying to find it in the filesystem or apk, to see if I can change it to the Hero's correct resolution.
Anyone got any ideas where this would be stored?

On VillainRom 5, it dosn't seem to work.
When I go to http://whatsmyuseragent.com/, that it detects my original user agent like that it doesn't use the modified file /data/data/com.android.browser/shared_prefs/com.android.browser_preferences.xml :-(

When using a rom with HTC Sense, the provider name on the top in the noticications window is only listed once. But when using a vanilla Froyo like OpenDesire or DeFroST the name is listed twice with one under the other. (Unfortunately I can't provide a screenshot since I'm new to the forums.)
Is there any way of changing this?

So, I have a question.. Both my boyfriend and I have the exact same HTC Desire Z, a Dutch one from Vodafone and in the beginning we both had the standard pictures that come with the phone in our "All photos" folder in the gallery. But now, due to some strange reason, I cannot see or find these photos anymore..
The pictures I'm talking about are the ones with the girl with the big sunglasses, a couple of nature photos and a dog lying on the floor (there might be more but I have only seen these). I'm not talking about the photos that you can download from HTC Hub to use as a background, because they are not on there.
I downloaded a file explorer and tried finding them but no such luck..
Does anybody know where to find them on my phone? And if not, where to find them on the internet?

Didn't check if these are the correct ones since I'm only posting on my g2 right now but if not, reply here and I'll look into ripping apart a stock'ish desire z rom to find them
Thank you for that link! I downloaded the file and looked through it but I'm afraid these are the ones I'm not looking for (the HTC Hub ones) but if you could look if you can find them in the stock-file your phone I'd be ever so grateful!

I downloaded a few "desire Z" 'ish roms and apparently none of them have the pictures that you are requesting. I'm not sure if there is one, but you, or someone kind enough on the forums could provide me with a link to a stock rom to the desire z that doesn't require an exe/updater software installer, I could rip the wallpapers from it.
Ah right! Thats a shame! I wouldnt know for the life of me how to rip a rom from my phone so if anyone else has one, that'd be great! Maybe I could even ask my boyfriend to send them via bluetooth, if that is possible in the first place.

First i would like to thank to all people that have made this forum, maintain it and help users. I am also very grateful for cyanogenmod that i am using.
Second of all, i have search this forum for a solution, and i didnt find it, i have used google too. If i have missed it somehow i apologize myself.
Since yesterday i am user of cyanogenmod 7.2.0-buzz and i like it so far (i didnt use any rom before as i had varanty which i didnt want to lose).
Everything is good so far, but there are 2 buggs (problems) which i dont know how to solve them, i would appreciate any help, even redirecting to another mod.
My problems are following:
- as several other members, i dont have working wifi (is there any solution for this in this particular mod version?)
- 4 main buttons of my htc wildfire always vibrate when i touch them (home, menu, back, search), i turn vibrating off in setting, but nothing happens. This is kinda annoying if text alot and surf the web.
So if anyone could help me fix it, i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

a friend asked me to repair is HTC Desire 320 screen but whenever i search the web for help on the procedures or to find pieces the search almosty always point to HTC Desire a320e and i can barely find what i need about it. Not even a single youtube video for the repair on youtube. Is there something i need to know about this device? Does it have another name cause even on this forum theres no section for it.
