Hey everyone, I've been running the Kinged Shooter RLS1 for probably three days now and all of a sudden now when I try to download apps from the market I keep getting a error when downloading that says insufficient space on the device. I have plenty of space, I have 4.94GB on the SD card and 188MB of internal. Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks
What's ur set up and what kinda mods do to have in the rom?

My wife had the same problem running the Pyramid ROM so I partitioned her SD card using these instructions.
Hope that solves it for you as well.
Thanks for the feedback. I actually rebooted into recovery and wiped the cache and that seems to have fixed it.

Yeah, if your cache parition is full, you can't download from the market.
I might do this. A lot of the new ROMs are Sense extensive so I need to do this. Thanks for the link.

thats the strange thing, i have 900 mb free :/
Do you have 900Mb free on your internal phone memory, or your microSD card?
Downloading apps will require free internal memory.
This actually seems like a ROM related problem.
Similar problems were faced with Custom Jellybean ROMs, one of which was Gimmeabreak.
Try checking with the thread from which you got your custom ROM to see if anyone has suffered a similar problem.
Wiping your cache and dalvik cache and clearing your playstore data is also worth a shot:fingers-crossed:
Good luck and hope I could help :good:

Good luck collecting 10 posts...
I am running Leedroid 3.08.2 A2SD, which has been running well to date.
I had a problem with Dolphin HD browser yesterday, when it kept force closing when i tried to use it. I unistalled it and tried to restore from Titanium backup, but was told there was not enough memory available to install. I tried to download the app from the market, but same result.
I am puzzled as I have lots of free space. Quick Sytem Info reports the following
A2SD 127mb free
Internal 51mb free
System 22mb free
Sys Cache 31mb free
I have tried to install some other apps and had similar problems. I have rebooted, but that makes no difference.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any possible solutions?
Cheers
I have no real solution here, never had such a problem...
I would try to wipe /cache in recovery and try installation again.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it hasn't solved the problem.
While I was trying 3 other apps updated with no problem!

Would a wipe of dalvik-cache not help ? After a restart, it should makes a change.
Please note that 1st boot after this wipe will be longuer as the dalvik-cache will be reconstructed, but then boot time will be normal.
Seen that silly message a long time ago with MIUI and used a script to move dalvik to SD-ext which solved the problem. In this case, this might be different as Sense is used, but problem might still be linked to dalvik-cache...
Thanks for the suggestion ouglouck. Tried this and still having the same problem. Managed to install a couple of new apps, but still can't get Dolphin to install!
I just installed Starburst on my phone and evertyhing works great with the exception of the default phone app. Whenever i try to launch it i just get a black screen then a popup saying the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly and it tells me to force close.
Anyone else ever get this and find a solution?
Sometimes the installation can go wrong. Juat wipe ecerything, THREE TIMES EACH, cacha, data, n dalvik. also download starburst 1.7 again (just in case), and flash it. U shud not have any issues.

I just flashed to version 1.8 after formating usb under storage then wiping data/cache/dalvik each 5x and am still getting the same force close on the stock dialer. Everything else works fine so i'll probably stick with this rom for a little bit.

can I move app to sd card without make root to my phone
thanks to all
It's a big problem... that everyone on this forum has experienced!
And yes you can. Try this. (link)
Use App2SD and clear cache regularly after using the Market.
Thanx for this
Do a factory reset, it cleared ~130mb on my wfs.
After installing all apps I need, I'm on about 30mb now.

Or DATA2whatever to get 1GB 'internal'
When I first got this Galaxy S3 about 2 weeks ago it had 11gb out of 12gb free. All I have done is flashed a few ROMs to try them out. Only apps I have downloaded is Google play services, store, and search. And a free texting app. No music or anything else, and it says I only have 8gb out of 12 GB free.
Even when I factory reset and stuff it doesn't change. How would I go about getting back that used space?
Thanks.

Backup anything you might want to save to your external SD card, including any Titanium Backups, then in your recovery do a factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache, format SD (internal NOT external). Flash the ROM of your choosing you should gain that back.

Thanks man, worked perfect.
Do you have any idea why it did that, like is it stuff from installing the ROMs? Just curious xD
But thanks again for helping me out.

If you've never done that before flashing a ROM a lot of crud builds up, especially on the internal SD card. That's where apps like Kik and Zedge, for example, store downloaded media.
