Are there any boards I can post on so that I can look for an app developer for some side work?
There are a few small apps and tools I would like to develop to make my life a little easier, mostly to interact with a group of files I currently access with a php directory listing script.
Thanks for any feedback.

I was wondering how to port to the incredible. I have windows 7, android sdk,apktool,smali/baksmali, and 7zip installed. I need to know how to use the tools mentioned and maybe some steps for porting. Modification of apk, jar, .xml, .so files are a must when porting,i just don't know how. Can someone please let me know, even if you want to pm then please do so. Thanks. Oh, afa what device I'd be porting from, not sure. Maybe from the desire or n1.

Maybe a Rom kitchen will help. I don't have much experience in this area.
It's no bother to people, I misread. rom kitchen sounds about right. you could always just try and theme the ROM you like..
Thanks for the response. What I really need is to know how to use the tools I mentioned. I have a basic overall knowledge of porting but am unsure of how to use the tools

I have a python script for use with SL4A I'd like to upload, however, I'm not sure if it belongs in Android Apps or Android Developement. Help would be much appreciated.

Oh boy, I need that app, I can't exactly remember the name of it, just remember having that app from a ROM I flashed.
Does anyone have a link or remember which ROM it was so I can get this app.

Andy-86?
I'd post a link, but I'm not allowed to. Give it a quick google, and you should find a source.
I use the realcalc scientific calculator app. It's free and works well enough for me. it might not be what you are looking for but give it a try

Yeah Andy-86, that's it! I didn't know it was a protected app or just not allowed to post the link, sorry about that. I just remember it being a great add on with a ROM I flashed before and can't remember which one.
I do have real calc but I need the on screen keys like the Andy-86.

Oh yea, here is a Market link to the gimped version of all the variants. You will need to locate the "rom" from the respective calculator to then use with this application. Think playing NES games on your PC.
Andie Graph Market page.
Edit: Removed questionable link. Refer to the app's Market page for that link.

I've found Andy 86 to be the best TI emus out there. It also helps that I owned one. I wish there was a way to transfer apps to the ROM though.

It's the same info/website posted directly on that app's Market page.
Edit: Link removed in said post. Refer to the app's Market page for the info.
@gtuansdiamm: you may want to edit your post to remove the quoted questionable link.

Actually after further reviewing the linked website from the market page in my previous reply, it didn't provide the actual roms.
What it did was give you directions and provide the tools for extracting the rom from your TI calculator to use for this improved calculator emulator app. This is how the author was able to stay within TI's good graces and the app remain on the market.
However, it only took a single Google search to track down all the related roms.
This is a very handy application that lets you tweak various options in your build.prop easily. It also allow for a few tweaks utilizing a init.d scipt. It is a paid app on the market but if you look at the description they let you download for free.

Technically yes, as it's not the way the dev chose to distribute his work. Easy fix is to click the link to RootzWiki. It's a good site with lots of good work being done there. Lots of themers.

My opinion is you should take it down. Dev describes it as a RootzWiki exclusive. To me that says he doesn't want here or any other place either. Might have moved to RW before "Operation Ironfist" and all the bother.

You cant count this as wares...The dev himself is the one who posted it in that site. The one in market was just a donate version.Besides, because he says its exclusive to rootzwiki, maybe you should remove the download link and tell people to visit that site to get the app. That way,you are actually publicizing his app and not distributing it without his permission
Phew...
Wares is distributing something in a way that has not been approved by the author/dev/producer. This is something that gets argued over a lot. If I release something in a certain place only, I do so because of a reason, such as keeping count of time/number of downloads etc. If it gets posted elsewhere I cannot track its popularity etc and I lose any control I may have had. This is my interpretation, some agree with me and others don't. So it goes.

I was curious if anyone could assist in helping me pull a 4g data icon from a ROM, I use different ROMs all the time, but find different aspects I like from others, I was curious how I could do that and input it into another ROM.
Thanks

Anyone at all, there has to be some dev or someone out there that has some leading information at least, maybe that kitchen program can do this, just want a point in the right direction.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Its not that simple. You have to decompile apks, make your edits then recompile. That's a super simplified overview
OK well I appreciate your response, from what I read on the kitchen forum it does talk about being able to compile your own customizations to preexisting ROMs or taking pieces of other ROMs and compiling your own version, probably requires a lot more practicing with said program.
