Compatible apps from MT4G Rom dump

Can we keep a list of which apps work on the G2 after the MyTouch 4G Rom dump?
So far I've gotten these to work:
Faves
Monopoly

where is the mytouch dump....i want to get the dnla app out of it

do u have the monopoly apk u can put up

The screen share and wifi calling apps. Work. The mytouch 4g only has game demos though so don't port them.
edit:when i say wifi calling,. i mean video chat

so basically, the only thing worth grabbing off the mytouch rom is screen share and video chat. The games are all demos.
any1 get the FM radio to work? i think its part of the sense framework.
there are some other apps that may be worth getting if you really wanted them. possibly the my modes? it allows you to set to different modes and your phone will act differently. Example...kids mode. turns off calling and messaging, maybe some other stuff.
i saw the media hub in a video demo. seems cool to have music and video on the same screen as oppose to gallery/music apps. didnt try it though. i am not sure what the package name is.

I wanted the email widget... But sadly it doesnt work on my G2. That is the only think I really like about the sense UI.

It would be amazing if somebody could get the flashlight app to work, I love how it has 3 brightness settings like the HD2.

I tried to upload but it says the file is too large. It's just a trial, though...and it's 18mb.

yes... most of the stuff on the mytouch is pretty built into the sense framework and i'm not about to try to port them. if it dont install and play, its beyond me.

i saw the flashlight app but didnt think anything of it. i will see in 2 seconds if it is build into the sense framework (i think thats the obex files that follow some of the apks).
when looking at the apps, flashlight has an apk and a obex file so i think its sense based. sorry dude.

Yeah dude sorry, I should have said I already tried it. I just have no idea about the whole process of de-odexing and all that fun stuff

so, i opted to go thru the whole contents of apps and see what i could find. i skipped everything that was obex. my finds are as follows....
the Faves app works fine. though i didnt give it a full test fun.
the faves widget does not seem to work. it will not install as is.
theres a bunch of themes that end with apk. Examples: graffiti.apk, ruby.apk
Interestingly enough, the wifi calling app is called MS-HTCVISION-KNT20-0.
i tried to get the media room app to work but it FCs.
would some1 else like to install media room/ check log why it FC's?
EDIT: seriously can find the FC on a log. and i can read a log for the most part. AND BTW, the faves app isnt worth having. not in my opinion.
EDIT2: rather than take up another post, lemme ask on this one. any1 know more about the rockband apk and why i cant find it on the interwebz? the 1 from mytouch is demo.

It works, I've been using the flashlight.apk on my Vibrant for 3 weeks now. It won't install, I used root explorer to place it in system/app

where can we get the mt4g dump? or can any one post some of the apks?
i want to get the screen sharing as well as picking up some demos..

get cm 6.1 and extract the torch.apk.....im using it on mine with sense...it has super bright!!!

As a FYI, Tesla is the brightest Flashlight stlye app I have ever seen. If your going for "gives a light bulb a shadow" bright.

I to wanted the dump just for the screen share app but every dump I found in thee mt4g forums wouldn't. Extract. So I found a mt4g rom port in the nexus. Forums download that and it hast the screen share app. Its called twonky mobile. Its kind of pointless tho. U have to connect to a network then use ur tv's or computers to stream the what u wanna watch. Witch I think is pointles cus its was quicker hookin ur usb cord. From ur phone to computer or xbox and just watch them off ur sd. And its a little hard to set up if ur not familiar with dlna and the software. The directions prrovided in the app suck.
Edit: I wouldn't nessisarily call it screen share more like streaming media. Wouldnt work with games. So no wiimot and psx

[Q] HTC Music App for AOSP 2.3 Roms- What will work?

I'm rocking Salvage Mod .9.5 GB, love Gingerbread, but miss the HTC Music player. I tried a couple update .zips floating around, but the resolution is all wrong. Anybody got an idea?

Have you tried the Honeycomb music player? Sure, it's just a fancy UI right now, but it might work for you.

Yeah I have it. Not bad. Def better than AOSP Music Players before it. But I like the lockscreen integration and swipe to select next track ability with the HTC Player.

[Q] Where are these new Google apps at? Mainly Music

i saw on Phandroid that there was a leek out for the New Music 3.0 but by the time i found out the link was broke. does anyone have a good link or can someone just tell me how good its working for them?

I managed to get the other ones but they dont work after install they just force close.
Im on a sense rom though, might nand back to CM7 to see if they work there.

im on CM07 rc4 i want to try the music bad.

There's a whole package going around in the tbolt dev forum. Clock, music, and a couple of others... don't remember what else...

in kfunks dark horse thread i have a link to just the music.apk its signed and has a different package ID so it can be installed along side the stock music player

The music is the only one that's directly installable. The others have to be pushed to system/app.

any chance of getting it ported to the Inc? my friend got the phone, I dont like it, but the music player was sweet. Is it even possible? Would love it on SR4

find the .apk and try it out man. won't hurt anything...

yeah thats what I figured I'd try. I found one APK but it was a no go on my phone. I'll keep trying. How would I go about taking the apk from my friends tbolt?

well if you don't mind changing roms then warm z has the new htc music player.

Yeah thats what I heard but i'm a die hard SR guy. Theres got to be a port from some phone with the new player that would be compatible. They port and mod everything else why not this.

no port the only reason i think they wouldn't port it is because well no one besides ihtfp69 has ported any features from sense 2.0 to sense 1.0 and also because the new Z roms are stable and only have one bug which is phantom calls the closest thing to skyraider i have seen in a z rom is uber z but it hasn't been updated for a while.

I installed Team Blaze's (Jared) newest ICS last night and was running Drew's prior to. I would say at this point they are almost the same... each one is making improvements... As for my experience... Jared's is solid and I haven't ran into anything broken. There are some things a little buggy (like TTS errors when opening Navigation, but TTS working just fine) but I haven't found anything broken. They are all working on making the camera better and it works on Jareds. These aren't final releases so I am good with what I have! Can't wait until these things get smoothed out as ICS is tight.

I have been following these ROMS.
At least on the home screen they appear to be still pretty buggy.
I don't know if the MMS is working, the camera, all that stuff.
Just curious if someone can tell me what I need to expect after installing.
I am currently using Synergy non-god mode and hate it. It is SO LAGGY. It takes a good 15 seconds to get the icons to populate my home screen. I need a new rom and was wondering if these were worth switching too.

Jared's ICS rom has camera [no video or panoramic], mms works, ect. Go for it.

Can't take video? Hmmm...May have to wait a bit longer. Thanks!!

Yea, no current ICS rom has working video yet.

Switch to MIUI. It is the fastest, most customizeable rom out there.
You may not like the no app drawer thing. But i just made a folder and put all the apps not on my screen in there. Now thats my app drawer!

He was asking about ICS not MIUI if I'm reading the first post correctly. MIUI fanboys are as bad as apple fanboys...
I'm running Deck's alpha 5 and it's really solid. Trebuchet is buggy but that's a known issue and the solution is to run Nova instead. It's definitely worth flashing an ICS ROM to get a feel for how they are.

I have run both Jared's and Drew's. Both solid build... both buggy as hell. They are still working on them. To be honest... the best one right now will probably be the one with the latest release.

Decks Alpha 5 for me with CoD tweaks. I haven't tried any of the other ones but this one is rock solid for me. There are quirks but any rom has those. Honestly I have better battery life on this then I ever have had before.

Uh yeah i know wut he was asking..i can read too. But ics isnt that great. Its gb with a theme and add that quick app thingy.
MIUI is actually different in looks as well as useability. And Im not a fanboy. It just is the best all around rom. Alot of people dont like the iphone like no app drawer as do i. But once u have one in miui it is by far the best rom available. For sure it is the least laggiest evo rom. And by the way these are facts. And if u disagree u must be a ics fanboy or just a straight up MIUI hater. Bu bye!

Gentlemen, best is predetermined to be biased upon your own preferences; there is no right answer here. Yes, ICS does have some nice features, like improved voice commands, better folder management, ect. And for MIUI yes it is a lil 'iphone' like in essence, but different from all the rest. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you change the launcher, you fix the 'no app drawer' issue, which some people tend not to like.

Yea ur right. There is no right answer. I was just telling the guy on synergy that was laggy. That miui has no lag. And that other guy starts saying im a fanboy, thinking im referring to the OP. When i clearly quoted who i was replying to, and it got me in a **** talking mood. Sorry..my bad
And yea u can install a different launcher, but it takes away the uniform of MIUI, so i just made me a folder on the dock and put all the apps not on my screen in it
