Hello forum,
I recently switched from CM7 because I was having some issue with random resets and FCing with Maps that slow down and shut off my phone. I flashed to the New Fresh ROM to try it out. That worked fine, but I missed the pull down notification bar. I tried Salvage-Zen but got stuck in a boot-loop and then I tried Salvage. I got past the boot screen but when the Android pops up even though I click I can't go any further. Does anybody know of a possible solution?
Few suggestions: Are you wiping properly, do you have the latest recovery (amon ra or clockwork), are you flashing gapps, did you update to all the latest radios/wimax/prl?
Why don't you try to flash decks aosp rom!

do you do a clean wipe before flashing roms or are you just installing one on top of the other. I would suggest looking for Caulkins format all zip and run it prior to flashing a rom
Same problem on friends phone just use amon RA wipe everything twice and flash and be patient with the white evo 4 g screen it may take a while there.

I'm wiping completely using both Clockwork and Amon but its still a no go and I flash falls when using aosp. I'll try that Rom and report the results.

The format all was just what I needed. Thank you very much!
I've rooted an evo and changed the splash screen. I have the splash screen with the little android guy wearing a cape. It doesn't do it every day just once in a while. Evo rooted by unrevoked method using synergy rom. Has stuck on slash screen with other roms. Any idea on what the problem is. Thanks in advanced.

Stuck on the Splash Screen (normally white screen with Evo 4G) or the Boot Animation? Does the phone get stuck there when you power it on or it reboots on you and sticks there?
If it is rebooting on you and sticking on the boot animation you are stuck in a boot loop. That has happened to me with Synergy RLS1 (non god) and MikG when I was running a kernel (and CPU setting) that my phone did not like. Are you running a custom kernel? If so what settings?

It is stuck on the used to be white EVO screen. Gets stuck when powered up. Have done battery pull and even cleaned cache and delvik cache. After I clear those it will boot. No custom kernel. Synergy rom rls 1.

Bump. Just trying to get some advice as to why it is doing this.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
So it hangs on the splash screen after you attempt to power it on? I am assuming that it worked before (and you either turned it off or it rebooted on its own) to the get that state. Wiping the the caches clears the problem? I ran Synergy RLS1 for a while but I have never seen anything like that.

What's the last thing that you did to the phone? Did you flash Synergy or change the splash screen?

The last thing I did was put in synergy rom but this problem started before then. It happened with the other rom.

A few things I could think of...
Did you always have this problem with your phone?
Should try one of them superwipe scripts/zips (if you haven't already) and flash rom again. (for Recovery - Amon RA works better for Synergy i think, CWM for most AOSP ones)
Are you using aaps2sd or link2sd?
Have you tried a GB kernel like Freedom latest?

Kernel flashing is done the same way you did the ROM. Not sure if its an hboot thing for you...sounds like a one off case.
If it was me, I would've downgraded to eng hboot if possible...flash another splash and flash this one back. Might want to reflash the ROM again...just so we start fresh. Also try the format all script or a superwipe script in case your wiping is all jacked up.
The hboot and format all script is by the same dev, just search for it.
Could you post the link to the splash you are having issues with?

So if you were stuck on a splash screen, then I am assuming you were able to go into Hboot and performed an update to your PC36IMG.zip?

Well I won't have time to flash it, as I have to leave for class in 5 minutes, but re-download the file, make sure its the correct size. Place it on the root of your sd card name PC36IMG [the .zip file extension is hidden], boot into the bootloader, it'll scan, it'll say update found: splash, apply update, reboot, and the new splash screen should be working.
If not, pm me the link, and I'll try it when I get out of class [around 5:45 EST]

After some themes are flashed they may bootloop a couple of times so you may want to try to wait it out, also i recommend Amon Ra rather than CWM, and if that doesn't work try re-flashing the ROM, them immediately after you flash the ROM, flash the Theme.

The Redhot theme was developed for MikG rom, thats why you might be getting boot loops, some themes are strictly made for certain roms. You need to check the posts,to see which roms support the theme.
So I've been running ViperInc 1.2 for a while but wanted to switch back to CM9. I downloaded the Anti Venom wiper tool, cleared everything in recovery, flashed CM9, flashed gapps and fired it up. For a day or two everything ran fine. Then the s hit the fan. My phone basically froze. I basically froze because it still ran, but at less than a snail's pace. Even shutting down and rebooting wouldn't work. My phone would say "shutting down" and then hang. I had to pull the battery in order to restart. But then all I got was boot loops. Boot up, run like molasses for 2 minutes then reboot. So I tried a new CM9 flash, no luck...then I tried Condemned Soul's AOKP ROM, no luck with that. So now I'm back on ViperInc. No big deal it's a great ROM, but I think I prefer CM9. I've got the latest ICS radio.
Any thoughts what might be causing the CM9/AOKP issues
Thanks.
Has anyone ever tried to go from viper to cm7 then to cm9 ?

I am hoping someone can help me ASAP as I am about to go out of town. I was trying flash Death Star V 3.5 and V3.6. I was previously using Wicked. I did a full wipe then flashed V 3.5, then the V3.6 update, and also flashed Ktoonz kernel. It is booting up fine but it force closes on the 1st settings screen and I cannot get past the menu. I have tried doing it 3 different times and also tried without flashing the kernel just in case that was the problem but nothing helps. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in Advance.

Don't flash Ktoonz. Just flash the ROM and the update. Im not having any problems with Death Star.
Sent from Spaceball One.
Flash the 3.5 ROM first, set up, then flash the 3.6 afterwards. That's how I fixed it, and I'm loving this ROM. Screen off plus v6 = .08 battery loss an hour!
