Need better camera app in cm7 - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

The stock cm7 camera app sucks. Is there anyone like the sense camera app? That was the best.

Also another gallery app would be cool. Also sense like. I hate the stock gallery.

Try and install the HTC camera .apk
You may have to use root explorer and push it to system/app

I doubt the HTC camera will work, as that needs the Sense frameworks. I've heard good things about Camera 360 and Camera Zoom FX, although I've never tried them
QuickPic is an excellent gallery replacement, and fast as he'll too
Sent from my finally rooted Dinc 2

I use camera zoom its a very useful app tons of fx and a 6x zoom too. QuickPic is way better than stock

Does anyone have link to the newest miui camera? I flashed that to my dinc 1 and it worked great.

Anyone?

CM7 camera app has touch to focus also its in the settings.

Vignette is good

Camera360 Paid + QuickPic FTW!

QuickPic is definitely a better (best?) gallery app...I haven't found a camera that's as good as Sense, but that's OK because the rest of Sense sucks...

I don't think you understand. I want a brand new camera. I will delete the cm7 one and flash a new one.

Miui camera and quickpic OS a great option.

Where do we get the miui apk?

Here's a link to the latest MIUI cam: http://db.tt/Tg9IYWN
I'm pretty sure it works on CM7, can't confirm it though. Just copy it into system/app with root explorer and make sure the permissions are set correctly (look at the other apps' permissions), IIRC it should be rw-r-r.

When I try it says application not installed.

(Q) sense camera effects app?

I've been trying to find an app similar to the camera (effects wise) as the sense. Any suggestions? I really like the circular effect that darkens around the object(s) in focus. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
There's an app called Vignette that does many effects similar to Senses, and the effect you like is called Vignette.

try camera 360

Torch app

Is there a way to get the second led for the tourch app going since it only uses one
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA Premium App
yeah. check the high brightness option
I'm on the miui ROM the app doesn't have a setting option
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA Premium App
I definitely really recommend the CM7 Torch APK. It's ridiculously bright. Google it.
Coming from the original dinc I can say even the torch from cm7 isn't as bright on the inc 2. Btw if you want the torch app on miui first extract the torch apk from the cm7 zip. Then uninstall the miui one with titanium. Then reboot, and install the apk and your should be good to go.

Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA App

YEAP, that's correct, stock camera app is much better on SGS2
I have to agree, stock camera app. If you use quickpic in the market as your gallary it makes the pics look alot better!!

Stock apps on custom ROM

I've tried several different ROMs on my WFS since I rooted it a couple months ago but there are a few apps like the camera and browser that are never as stable ad the stock ones and I can't find anyplace to get them. Is there anyway to get the stock apps and put them in a custom ROM? If someone could put the camera, browser, and calendar apps in a flashable zip that would be awesome!

Stock stuff requires sense framework to run so there is no way it'd run on a senseless rom ex cm, miui, aokp etc.

Oh, that really sucks. You know any good apps that actually work on this phone? Opera is the only browser I've found that will scroll through pics right but it closes all the time and I'd really like to have some control of the cameras focus.

Closest to TW camera on ASOP

Hello.. I currently am running the Heisenberg Rom and love it.. But I hate the camera..
What's the closet camera I can get that resembles TouchWiz camera..
I really want to take pictures by command words.. And would like to have the photospere feature.. But not necessarily..
Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't really a good enough camera that can compare to the manufacturer's implementation of a camera app. Google Camera Is okay.
One reason why I went back to TW was the camera. I'm a frequent picture and video taker.
Here's the difference between the 2 apps in comparison of a picture.
