[Q] When will 2.3.3 root be released?? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know when 2.3.3 with build number 4.0.a.2.368 root for xperia arc will be relased!?

No, not happening.
For locked bootloaders, the only way to root 2.3.3 is by rooting 2.3.2 and then doing an OTA update to 2.3.3 (The latest .368 firmware isn't yet available OTA).
For unlocked bootloaders, there are various methods mentioned here at XDA to root your device.
Cheers!

Had you have posted your question in the q&a section you would have seen the 2 or 3 threads asking the same thing.

You can find about .368 rooted under arc development thread.

I wanna say that you would need an ICS kernel , which you would need to unlock your BL for.. and the system on your phone wont matter, since ICS isn't official on our plays your will need to instal a custom Rom which will overwrite everything anyway
Thanks

But if I am installing an official ics Rom (released by Sony Ericsson) would I have to do that too?

Well I did some reading and I think you will need an unlocked BL and at least be on the .42 firmware, 2.3.4 like you originally posted. I know there are a few ICS roms that work in the developer section. But I think for the official beta release your gonna wanna follow what Sony said.
Edit: looks like you have to fastboot a boot.img and userdata.img and system.img

You'll be able to get ICS without an unlocked bootloader once the official update is released, since the official releases can be made into files for flashtool.
Aside from the fact it'll be done through SEUS.

I would ...
I have SE xperia ray
Android version 4.0.4 Build number 4.1.B.0.431
Kernel 2.6.32.9-perf
Since I upgraded from 4.0.3 (It was rooted) I can't root it again ... Is there any one-click methods of doing this?
not yet but there is a simple method
.flash the 4.0.3 kernel with flashtool
.use the one click root as you do normaly
.flash the 4.0.4 kernel
Just go to android dev forum there is a thread about this method in it

[Q] How to get root access on Xperia Arc LT15 i build 4.1.B.0.431

Hi All,
I have currently updated my Xperia Arc LT 15i to build 4.1.B.0.431. I haven't rooted my phone till now. Its my first time and I want to know step by step procedure to root my device.
Thanks,
Saurabh Malhotra
There's a thread dedicated to rooting 4.0.4. Find it.
Next time ask your question in the q&a forum before a mod locks this and you don't get an answer
Edit: Well it got moved without being locked.

There is thread dedicated to rooting flashed 4.0.4, not stock 4.0.4, so I am also wondering how to root my device!
There is a working root for 4.3 if u want update phone OTA to 4.3 then root or if you can't OTA u will have to flash the 4.0.4 method.
The mod will lock this so please view the forum dedicated to this.

By stock do you mean updated through pc companion or seus?
ATM there's no way to root without flashing
Sent from my LT15a using XDA
So many threads about rooting ICS, if you come from 4.0.3 rooted then you must do the OTA (over the air) to update to 4.0.4 and you will keep the root, very simple and indeed there is not yet a root kit by Doomlord so ne patient and not posting tons of threads how to roor 4.0.4, right uppercorner stands...SEARCH
And is that not possible to do the ota flash then a costum rom
