describe what the program does..it shows something? its auto close?

all I can tell you is to make sure you're typing in the right number when it asks for the serial (on the website).. just to make sure, take out your battery, and copy the number labelled S/N: from the sticker.
then once you've got the beta key, copy it, and when you run the revo program at it prompts you for the key paste it into cmd (press the little cmd icon on the top left of the cmd window, edit, paste)
i enter key saya accepted then i get
zerging root....this may take a minute or so then its says failed to get root with sad face
press almost anybutton to exit.
thats all it says, phones on in dbugging mode right? not sure whats going on
solved. unrooted and tried all over again now im s-offed!!! but what does it mean!! just more time to spend fiddling with my phone my mrs already hates me!!

Check unknown sources in Applications>Settings?
Set connection type to "only charge" and "never ask" in settings for connection type?
Rebooted phone after this (sometimes, when the phone is on a long time, some processes can disturb)?
Did you run the tool with administrator rights?

the download starts and everything but then once it's complete I get this error

pls can any one help to s-off my htc sensation 4g. i tried to use revolutionary s-off and recovery tool 0.4pre4 but it did not work. it says that your device yramid ,with HBOOT1.27.0000 is not supported at this time. can any one tell me what to do.

This is desire forum... 1.27 is not supported, you need to look at sensation dev forum, there is a way but requires htcdev unlock which avoids warranty, will post you link as soon as I get home

I tried to run this utility on my HTC desire, under Linux (ubuntu) with this :
sudo ./revolutionary
I've been asked for password and so on and when trying to "do the job" here is what I got as return:

I have CWork 2.5.0.7 and Evervols JB 4.2.2 installed ROM. I just want to S-OFF my phone.
App is started with normal state of phone (ROM loaded).

I think u have to be on stock sense ROM before running revolutionary.

You only temporarily have to be on GB. You could make a nandroid backup now, then flash the ruu and run revolutionary. Then you can restore your nandroid.

On my HTC HD I have a custom ROM and ROOT. I wanted unroot. Im flash RUU original ROM (.zip) but Im flash US and I have europe device. Im flash US rom occurred error - reboot phone. Now, my device I turn after several times the switching on and remove the batteries. I don´t can get in bootloader!!! Install RUU ROM (.exe) my computer write error. Please help I want Unroot and original ROM.

I recommend you to use the aahk to revert to stock. Put the stock to germany because at that ruu the ota update works . It's with sense 3.0 and android 2.3.5:good:

Chovky, if your phone is not booting and u don't have at least fastboot, you won't be able to flash a RUU...the question is, is not booting at all or is very slow and u are stuck in the splash screen?

Phone can be turned on, but cannot go to Bootloader. I tried to install .exe RUU (WWE)through PC but write error (exe RUU from the site -shipped-roms).

If you cant turn on the phone then try to connect your charger before trying to start. And if it doesn't start then I'm afraid you bricked and need to send in the phone to HTC or buy a riff tag box (don't know if the spelling is right).

Chovky, all what u are describing is in the effen manual. Take some time to read for comprehension. If you keep trying things you might mess the phone to no turning back issue.
If your phone boots to a black screen, then just fix your pc and re run the Kit from that screen. That is in the Manual....:good:
I don't understand why. It all started when I flashed a stock MetroPCS ROM. It worked perfectly, WIFI, everything. I could talk on the phone, message... No MMS. However, whenever I had WIFI off, Mobile Internet would say: Turning on.... Forever! I couldn't use anything that required network access, except phone and messaging. Can anyone help me?

It's your radio problem. Update/downgrade to RUU 2.13.401.3 which has radio version 7.54.39.28M. It is a very good radio for European marvel GSM. Which I use.

Thanks! I'm going to try now. Just forgot how to update via RUU. Will try Fastboot USB style. I read the ReadMe, and did it how it was supposed to be done. But the RUU is not reading my phone. It says "USB Error something." So I went to my SDK and saw that the Google USB Driver was installed. I'm off to find an HTC USB driver. Feel free to help me find one ;P
Edit: Still haven't been able to flash RUU. I would be greatful in one of the 50+ people looking at this would help! ;P

dude, i guess yours is a CDMA phone. the radio is different from that of GSM.. NEVER TRY TO FLASH GSM RADIO ON A CDMA PHONE..

Ok.. Wow. I would go to HBOOT and it would SAY updating. It finishes, nothing changes.
If no software solution works, I'd recommend you send it in for servicing, it's probably a hardware fault.
I doubt it. It's been working since I flashed the ROM.
If it's working, mark your thread as solved, or at least post an update stating so.
Trust me... I would! I wish it was working. When flashing the image in HBOOT, it goes up to Parsing Image.... and then nothing.

I've tried. If I use the MetroPCS one, it says, "Already updated.." or something like that.
You can get the HTC USB Driver buy downloading HTC Sync, just make sure that HTC Sync is killed when doing it though or you'll run into some problems..

I rooted my phone a little while ago so I am really new to this....So I have a Virgin Mobile HTC One V, and 3 days ago I tried to Deodex my phone to be able to get google now (i know, stupid reason) anyway I think something went wrong, and now it is in a boot loop. This has happened to many other people on xda so i tried looking for some. I tried to get the stock ruu back on with the exe file, and that didnt work it said "update failed hboot is older" after that i tried unlocking my phone again and just restoring the back up, and that also failed.
Next I tried to flash a new image by putting the root from the temp that i got from the ruu (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674226&page=4) and it said "update failed hboot is older press power to reboot".
I have tried everything i could thing of, and still it keeps rebooting. I didnt want to bother you guys, but at this point I have almost given up because i have spent more than 12 hours trying to fix this issue.
I currently have twrp flashed and I am willing to try almost anything
How can I fix this issue?
Please help me if you can.
Hboot: 1.57.0000
Radio: 1.00.00.0928
eMMC-boot (no idea what this means)
I had this exact issue....turned out I had the wrong ruu. Once I got the right one and downgraded my radio, I've had no problems.

Okay so i tried it and it didnt work... It gets to sending, then MTi/MCI or something like that(it was really fast) then it throws an error 155 and says "cannot update please get the current rom update utility and try again... "
and it still says "hboot version is older update fail!" when I unplug it
I got the most recent RUU I could find which was

That is the version that I used. Have you done the recent ota update.....if not, DON'T. check out this thread....is the guide I used.

I followed that guide already... it was pretty much the first thing I did... i think that I need to downgrade something maybe the hboot or something, but im not sure how. Everything go well until the phone restart and gets htc logo to update and the program de RUU updater stucks saying waiting for bootloader and with a message : 171 usb error. Im trying diferent usb and diferents ways but not luck.
Please uf someone can give me light on this

It's either an issue with your drivers, or you are trying to use a USB 3 port. USB 3 has a new driver stack that doesn't work well with ADB.
If it is a driver issue, install HTC Sync Manager, use that to install the drivers, then uninstall HTC Sync. Everything should work fine after that.
