Jrioni arcade mame emu - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

If someone has installed the full version of this mame port can tell me if he can play in landscape mode?
I can play in portrait mode but when i switch to landscape the screen turn black and i can only hear the sound of the game.
Only buying this emu was a pain in the ass because the market return a unspecified server error, and now that i buy it from pc, i can't enjoy the full potential of this app.
I wish that some devs with the balls will port the real mame on android!

Hi sar3vok!
I tried the full version and it works flawlessly! It is as good as MAME4Droid.
Maybe you should try MAME4Droid (it´s free) and see if it is working Ok on your S2 as I have a Neo
You can find more info about MAME emulators on my blog: http://retro-android.blogspot.com.es/

you want this if you have TP2...
http://www.bitbanksoftware.com/private/smartgear.zip
youll want morphgear for SNES and GBA
FPSeCE for works with the TP2. It's a playstation emulator. They are supposed to have a new version out soon with full support for WVGA and with much better framerates but right now alot of games are still playable just alittle slow. Find version .096beta on the net and use it. Make sure you start the program with the keyboard already out and you won't have any problems. Select GAPI as the GFX Driver(It works the best). There website is www.fpsece.net.

Working GBA emulator for WinMo 6.1?

I tried downloading the last updated Pocket GBA and it does not work on my TP2. Don't know if it's just plain outdated or not compatible for 6.1. Does anyone know a good working gameboy advance emulator for the TP2/WinMo 6.1?
No one has a working gba emulator?
bumpppppppp
Anyone? Bump
What version of pocketGBA did you download, keep in minde it wont play GB or GBC games.
You could try running WVGAFix to set a lower resolution.

Sorry, I do not remember the exact version #, but it was the most recent update from Sunbug.net. I realize it only plays GBA games, but the loading the rom isnt the problem, it's just the emulator itself.
bumpppppppppp
PocketGBA works on my phone, PocketGBA rel.060526. Works with out WVGA fix, or should work. Only issues I ran into was getting the screen in the right postion. Its upsidedown and there is no option to rotate it, kind of sucks becuase zelda looked like it was running smooth.
Other then that let me know if you find a fix.
I know there has to be atleast one person that has a working GBA emulator on their Touch Pro 2.
I have a trouch pro 2 with wm 6.1 like I said I have it working however the screen in landscape is wrong and there is no way to change it.
Morphgears gba works great full screen and with keyboard support with KforTp, however its slow as hell in GDI mode.
Look here this is the only emulator that seems to work ok
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=565163
As much as a hate paying for software I might buy this, even if I think it should be free. I might if the creator speeds it up more and makes it run games smooth with sound.
On a side note does any one know how to switch the screen to portrat more while in landscape mode with out sliding the screen. On my mogul it was on the bottom but now there is nothing there because of touch flo.
Any ideas?
pocket gba don't work on my i780..what i can try??
I have Morphgear running in landscape by choosing RawFrameBuffer and using East orientation. Oddly, I use KforTP to map the buttons, but after they're mapped, I don't need to use it anymore.
SNES works great, albiet no sound (enabling sound makes the games unplayably stuttery). GBA games are so slow they are painful to play.
My question is, why did all of this emulation development get dropped four or five years ago? I wish someone would start it up again -- there are a ton of GBA games I'd love to play on the TP2.

Pocket GBA and WM 6.5

OK here is my issue, I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2 and I just upgraded to the new windows mobile 6.5 rom. I am trying to get Pocket GBA to run in Full screen or....even half scree....hell any size screen would work.
I have a feeling there is no fully complatible GBA emulator for windows mobile 6.5 out right now.
I downloaded the newest version off
http://www.sunbug.net/board_contents/view/250/PocketGBA-GameBoy-Advance-Emulator-for-PocketPC
the cab wont install and however the .zip file will work just fine.
Any ideas or are there any 3rd party patches or is there a better emulator for GBA for wm 6.5 anywhere?
I can see there is no answer, possibly because there is no fully working emulator for 6.5?

nope not really. i've done some browsing for answers and it seems all emulators have some sort of issues with our phones (TP2/Tilt 2) in particular. they will run some games...but framerate, screen size, sound..or something or the other will be missing.
i would love to get GBA working on my phone and of course a playstation emulator to have some of the Final Fantasy games

That would be amazing if they were playable on the phone. the controller would obviously have to me emulated though the keyboard. btw, asiancuta, do you have a ff9 game?

used to own it, but unfortunately not in many years now lol. but i'd hunt for one on ebay, if i know for sure we can have an emulator that works and FF can run on it at 50-60 fps. i've been an FF fan since the NES first one.
FPSece is a PSX emulator that works very well on our phone, it can run somegames a full speed without sound.
http://www.fpsece.net/downloads.htm
Makes me sad when I see a PSX emu running this fast and I cant even get a SNES/GB/GBA emulator running a full speed with sound. We need these emulators to be updated with some better faster code. I know it possible with the hardware in our phone just no one with the skill willing to take the time to do it. Not like I blame them I am sure they have better things to do then make emulators for us.
Awesome to see there there is still some old school FF fans. For the last few months, I've been building a Tetra Master game for WVGA. its at v0.60 "missing the AI still". If your skilled at the game, you could be a beta tester for me. if you know C#, then i would love some help on how to add mp3s into the program.
the game has everything the PS game has, plus more features that SHOULD be included "buying/ selling cards and a non-cryptic tutorial"
Just if people are searching, as far as you're looking to play GB or GBC, I think the registered version of SmartGear is great. Game running, screen orientation and key mapping are ideal.

Games

Not heard much about games on the Desire. I've installed Gameboid (GBA Emulator) and a GBC emulator and both work perfectly on my phone with sounds. Shame they don't have multi touch!
Native games i'm not so sure about...
what do you mean by multi touch (lack of) ive used both and mega drive one and they play as they should. i find the vertical way works smoother than horizontal. I know what you mean about games although i know gameloft have a few games ie assassins creed and asphalt 5. shame i cant download them yet.
No multi-touch...I.E when i play GBC emu and GameBOID you can't press a direction and say jump at the same time using the on screen buttons.

There's a video on youtube that shows exactly that working with a Desire and Snesoid.
Cheers
But not Gameboid i'm 99% sure that doesn't work and definitely not on GBCoid.

thanks for the clarity as i know it works on gameboid and gbcoid and gensoid. tried em all. just not perfectly. I really think the touch is over sensitive. portrait mode works better for me.
Paperthrow ftw!! LOL
One game I can't put down is World War. If anyone is playing this and would like and ally, please feel free to add me on 3C4WJ4.
SNESoid works perfectly here with multitouch.
Are there any games pre-installed? What games are people finding work well on the Desire? Due to get mine shortly so just looking for the heads up. Cheers.
Abduction works well and the clone of bejewelled called "Jewels" which is free in the market is actually better than the official Bejewelled app.

[Q] Wonders from a newbie

Hi!
I have been playing a lot of emulators on PC during the years. But is right now thinking of buying an Xperia Play, because I understand that it´s quite a nice phone. It´s on quite a sale in scandinavia right now, so I might be getting one during the week.
I would however like some input for some questions, and would be thankful if someone would take their time to answer them for me.
1. I have problems finding a reliable compatibility list for PSX-gaming. Three of the games that I really itch to play are "Alundra", "Final Fantasy Tactics" and "Legend of Mana". Can someone please enlighten me how these games will run on a Xperia Play?
2. I also have a question about other emulators. Will SNES & Genesis-emulators run lag-free on an Xperia Play?
Thank you for reading (and maybe answering) .
The Xperia Play is really awesome for playing games in emulators. The only problem is that most of them don't support the touchpad.
These are the emulators I've tried:
NESoid
SNESoid - completely lag-free, to answer your question
N64oid (sometimes a bit laggy)
GBCoid - gameboy color emulator
GameBoid - GBA emulator
FPse - PSX emulator
Unfortunately neither of these support the touchpad. And for PSX games I actually prefer FPse to the official PSX emulator that comes with the Play, because, while the official one supports the touchpad (very nicely, might I add), it is a bit buggy with most games that aren't available officially for it.
not sure about genesis as i haven't tried it yet. snes is no problem as is gameboy/advance/colour. on the psx side of things, you could try fpse or psxdroid for emulators. you would need the roms for those games you want as well as the bios file. or, you could also convert the roms of those games to work via the play's playstation pocket app. the pre-installed crash bandicoot game will give you an idea of how smooth it is once converted using the psxperia tool.
This is a magnificent device for emulators. Nuff said
sent from my Xperia PLAY using XDA Premium
I have emulators for Yongzhi's emulators for:
-Gameboid - GamBoy Advance
-SNEWSoid - Super Nintendo
-Gensoid - Genesis
-FPse - PSX
-N64oid - N64
And they all work flawlessly and are availble at the SlideMe market for FREE except for the N64 and PSX emulators. The PSX emulator is avaible on the Android Market and works on a lot of games but of course not all of them. I would suggest you visit the FSpe forum to find out which specific games work for the Play.
The N64 emulator is available from the SlideMe market for I think 2 bucks. I works okay with some games but is still be updated. Also u can try the open source one but I forget what it's called. I think it's on the XDA forum somewhere.
