Is there a changelog for the CM7 nightlies?
Im just curious to see first if its worth the effort to upgrade from one dev edition to another based on changes.
The best I can find is h**p://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/ but doesnt cover jordan
Assuming you mean the defy CM7 changelogs, here:
https://github.com/CyanogenDefy/android_device_motorola_jordan/commits/gingerbread
This one has been provided too but I dunno the difference, other than that it hasn't been updated from some time:
https://github.com/CyanogenDefy/android_device_motorola_jordan/commits/cyanogen
What do you mean from one dev edition to another? Isn't there only one set of devs (Epsylon3, Quarx, maniac etc) working on CM7 for the defy? Or by other devs do you mean other roms that are based off CM7?
Yep, the first link is the one. Thanks!
I did mean the difference between nightlies.
Ah between the nightlies, yes then the first one is correct. You are welcome
I used to look at this link too but have stopped because either I haven't had most of the problems submitted there, or the submitted ones are very silly/obvious, for example the battery drain issues.
https://github.com/CyanogenDefy/and...issues?sort=created&direction=desc&state=open
thanks so much. I am also trying to find them.

I've started following the "commit" section on the github link as the changes tend to follow quite quickly in the nightly builds.

I know there has been pieces of it in various roms, but is the actual full Gingerbread out there? I read the source code was released and that is all that was needed. Anyone???
well you clearly found your way into the Dev section for Myn's rom, find your way back for one of the MANY gb roms....

I am currently running the CM 7 nightlies and they are stable enough to be my daily driver.

That is called "trolling" and providing no help whatsoever.
If you're looking for a GB ROM you probably wont find one that works 100%. I'm currently using Ultimate Droid 3.0 which is based on the GB sourced and themed. I think some ROMs in the dev section may be GB source based or just themed. Make sure you read the changelog and details to make sure it isn't just themed to look like GB.
I'd say you'll start seeing more releases next month once they iron out some bugs.

Answer I was looking for...thanks!

This is the one I use, it's stable and it works and outside of no 4g (which no aosp rom has anyway, 2.2 or 2.3) and no hdmi (same problem) it works perfectly. The rare random reboot and the one or two time FC of the keyboard are the only problems I've had with it. When I feel like munching on Gingerbread, this is the rom I flash.

Was about to suggest this. I love cm7, I've only had one random reboot in the two days I've been running it and it was while I was taking a nap one evening hehe. That vibrate on boot woke me up!
So I know about the official teamdouche website with the cm7 nightlies, but they only go to #13, and now rc2 (downloading now). What I am very confused about, and have spent alot of time trying to figure out is: what are these nightlies everyone here is talking about, people casually mention nightly builds that are 5 times what cyanogen has released. back when cyanogen was on #3 people were talking about downloading nightlies well into the 30's, and just today someone was talking about a #42. Did I miss a memo? this has been irking me for a while now if someone could explain all this business to me that would be great, and maybe some sort of compilation of all of these "nightlies".
They. Started with fresh #'s.went from like build 40 to build #1(ie #41). That's prolly what ur readn about
sent from dinc
so in other words those are all old, and i really shouldn't worry about it? or do they have more features? are they more stable?
Current nightly available is #14 at http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=inc
They reset the counter when they made nightlies for CM7. You can also see the date stamp on that page on their mirror.
ProTekk is making updated CM7 ROMs on his own using the same EXACT merged code that they do for CM7 nightlies. The only difference is he puts them out every morning around 10am (and more frequently than the build bot).
Hi everybody,
I am not a DEV. This is my first time to cook a ROM for a Android phone Hero.
This rom is compiled from CM 7.2 source.
Please find the screenshot attached.
Get it at http://www.multiupload.com/4R5TDKMO9H
Don't forget to flash gapp after flashing this room
http://www.multiupload.com/R8014043HK
Installation
copy both downloaded zip to root of sdcard
flash zip from sdcard by your Recovery (RA 1.6.2 is used in my test)
Thanks you
Gratz on your first Rom I would've flashed it if I still cared about gb

HELLO,
What is the difference between this rom and a regular CM7?
this one is probably the last stable build of cm7 synced to the latest repositories
great rom and snappy, cyanogenmod's nightly builds not updated since 16th November so good alternative.
many thanks

They wont be because of CM9 development.
reupload it pls..!
Resurrected my hero after months and installed cm 7.1. I find it too laggy (stock clocks).
I'm thinking of going back to Froyo. How is this rom compared to 7.1?
Anyone interested in a new nightly? I'm compiling regular nightlies for the Desire S, but I'm still in love with my old hero I just compiled one and it works great. It's just standard cm7, I only added a Dutch dictionary to it
Lots of changes happened in 2 months. The T9 dialer alone makes it worthwhile.
I just need a way to upload it to somewhere...

+1. Haven't used pure CM lately.

brilliant, i'll try this out when i've got time
also thank you for pointing out that the nightlies are back online. its good to see them back
How's the speed with this? Want to try this but don't want it to be slow
Tried this one out and all works well. I'm pretty sure apps2sd isn't implemented which makes it difficult for me to use daily, but this shouldn't take too much work to include. Gapps is not included so remember to flash a version. Speed is ok, quicker with launcher pro but not as quick as my daily driver ( aosp). Thanks for your work on the Rom, all development for hero gratefully received
Thanks! The new nightly is really stable and all functions working as meant to. Really do love the pure cm side of it, speed wise I think it's faster than decked in my opinion or maybe it's just me and also I absolutely love the transitional animations between the screens, makes it honestly feel like a new phone! Really youse should try this rom for yourselves, it's a joy to use. This'll be my daily from now on as i'm that pleased with it, and still no problems it seems.

This nightly (http://get.cm/get/update-cm-7-20120226-NIGHTLY-hero-signed.zip) is really, really fast, assuming that you used the following settings:
- jit on
- surface dither off
- 16-bit trans on
- allow purge of assets on
- turned of background wall paper

Is there an easy way to implement apps2sd support in the nightlies?

The rom is fast, I am talking about the new nightly one just to be more exact, I also like the new ICS rotation animation that has been ported to GB.
I've used Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5.3 . I flashed beta03 as beta04 bootlooped for me.
Will there be a cm 9 for the Inc? Because there is a lot of supported phones but not the Inc
I just need to flash something

Try kushdeck's ROM, I'm running it and it works great.

Kushdecks rom is pretty great. I ran the latest build for several days with no problem.
You guys both didn't answer the question, lmfao Are we getting dropped?
Technically there are no truly supported device for CM9 as they haven't even made any nightly releases. With that said, according to the official statement, QSD8250 devices (Nexus One, Inc, Evo4g) should be supported. That is planned but not definite.
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cm9-progress-update
Above is the official statement from CM. If you want CM9 support, CUViper is the CM maintainer for the Inc. Coming from a Galaxy Nexus user using AOSP, AOKP is a great ROM based on stock. CM9 is not really even ready on the GNex so I'd say they're still working on it. It's not as simple as a transition from froyo to gingerbread.
Evervolv ICS rom preview is better than omx and INC-Deck imo. I have a post on rootzwiki with everything you need, link to the rom, gapps and the exchange.apk fix

Haha, maybe I should just follow you around apophis and keep giving a +1 to Evervolv ICS p5
But seriously, best ICS rom out there right now IMHO
Hey a good rom is a good rom. Im not bashing other devs but the rom is the most complete at the moment. Since he only post updates on twitter i post everything everywhere i can so more people can have this awesome rom
I used to be a hard core cyanogenmod user and I recently switched over to MIUI which will be coming out with v4 soon
I am much happier with MIUI.. give it a try..
jss24,
Is MIUI v4 based upon ICS? Is there some place that gives info about what can be expected out it. I would like see what they are cooking up.
yes there is a CM9 in the works. most of the ICS builds that are out now for the phone are repo'ed from CM source.
I don't know if CM9 will get inc support but the kushdeck alpha 5 has the camera working now; so feel free to FLASH AWAY!! eh, eh, see what he did there?
There is already a CM9 release out for the INC, but I'm assuming it's very buggy and it is missing some important apps.
Here's the link:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/10750-romunofficialcm9-with-working-hardware-acceleration/
Be sure to check further down the page for another download that's required in order to boot it up.
Not really a release more along the lines of a port. I dont believe it will have any more support
nope R2 pulled repo from cm so its not a port. they are work on it. we still have one maintainer left. CUViper. i have faith in him.
First line in r2s post says , so i ported cm9 to the inc earlier to see if hardware acceleration worked
Why would he say that if it wasnt a port?
Likely to be a port only, but that's where most of our great ROMs come from. These are called AOSP for a reason...
On another note, CCM7 (V10) is a great ROM to hold you off until ICS hits us in February, oops did I drop dates?
Oh well, I was going to post pictures of my setup, but I guess I am too new.
What is ccm7 v10? Where can it be found
Condemned cm7, ill pass
I've been looking around for a friend that is running CM 7.2 stable, he's having some issues with blank SMS screens and the ROM locking up, and just for fun I thought it would be cool to see what kind of shape CM9 is in for that phone. So far I've only found some pretty elaborate custom mods with custom kernels and basebands (I don't want to get into this too deep, since it's not my phone), so basically I'm just wondering if there's a CM9 nightly available somewhere that you can try flashing, and if it's not any good there's always the stable variants to go back to.
Any insight appreciated, including recommendations on other mods that might be better than CM for the Xperia Arc.
Fxp are the cm9 team for Sony I'm new in this forum but not new to xda and this forum is a mess just to find anything you just Hatton really look

I actually found the answer, by going to get.cm and clicking my model (maguro, for GSM nexus) there's cm9 nightlies in the list. The nightlies aren't available from the regular CM website though since Nexus isn't supported yet.
