Stock android email apk

Hi, anyone know if its possible to replace sense email with the stock email app?
Reason is using exchange with the sense one enabled security for the phone, meaning I need a password to unlock which is stupid. I understand needing security but why not just lock that email account rather than the whole phone!
Anyway the email app on my Nexus One doesn't have this issue, anyone know how I can pull the email apk out and replace the sense on?
Thanks
There is an alternative. There is an app available for free on the market place which removes that password prompt. I can't remember the name of it but search this forum as it's been mentioned before.
you can't replace it yet, but you can certainly install the stock one. I have it hosted on my webspace

EDIT: forgot to say, remember that this will not work with the HTC Sense mail widget.
great. Would be even better if it could handle attachments. Is it possible that the quickoffice and pdf viewer are tied to htc sense and not to native android?

Lockpicker, from the market (developed by one of the forum members, iirc) will disable the password prompt, as mentioned in another reply. I use it and it works a treat.

I used this mail.apk on my HTC Droid Incredible and it works perfectly.
HTC stock Sense Mail client does not bring in any of my emails, at least not for my company on IMAP settings.
Hi all,
I applied this application to HTC Sprint EVO none-rooted with stock Android 2.1 and it works.
This stock email.apk allowed me to resolve problem with HTC Mail for Android Version 2.00.0037.195459 not having "allow all certificates" option required to be able to Active Sync if you use self-signed certificate.
However, this version does not seem to support Exchange Calendar.
Does anybody have newest email.apk from Android 2.2 which works on 2.1 ?
They claim support for Calendar and GAL, but I don't want to upgrade to 2.2 just to get email app upgraded.
Regards
Ivan

[Q] SGSII Email.apk with exchange security removed

I'm looking for email.apk extracted from SGS2 that has exchange security bypassed.
My work policy is stupidly ridiculous and is completely inappropriate for the information in the actual emails.
If SGS2 uses standard GB email app that CM7 uses - let me know.. however, from what I've seen, it has more stuff in it - like peak/offpeak schedules, etc.
Thanks!!

Check out the thread below, it will allow you to use exchange (with mailbox administrator pin requirement) without actually setting a pin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655649
Downloads can be found in the last few pages of the thread, I can confirm it works for the stock Samsung galaxy S2 email application (tested on Lite'ning Rom v1.2). You can use the stock gingerbread email app also (I use this as I dont like the look of samsungs app, or that they collect your IMEI details to activate connect to exchange feature).
I just finished patching it today! Here's the link to the thread:

Stock email app modify request to disable password policy enforced by exchange, Help!

Hi Folks!
Would like to request that the stock mail app be modified so that the screen lock password policy being enforced be disabled.
I have seen on other forums that this is possible and has been done but not with the SGS 2 stock maill app.
Anyone?
Thanks!

There is a modified aosp email.apk you can find it if you search google. Just rename your old one to email.apk.old incase you want to revert back. Use root explorer and copy the new one to system/apps. Give it the same permissions as the rest and then reboot your phone. This is what I have done and it bypasses the exchange security. But the password lock being required is actually a setting that your exchange administrator has turned on. It would be difficult to modify the stock touchwizz email and get it to bypass security so this would be your only option.

[REQ] Modified Stock Email App

So on my CM7 ROMs I had a modified email.apk which allowed me to circumvent exchange security policies when connecting to my corporate Exchange server. We require devices to be locked with a 4-digit PIN code, and I absolutely hate this. The new email app in ICS is 110% improved over the old one, but I would really love to be able to avoid having a PIN again. I know that Google has beefed up security (with encryption and whatnot) in the stock app, but I was wondering if someone could take a look at the new apks and see if they could be modified. I noticed that there is now EmailGoogle.apk and ExchangeGoogle.apk, so I'm not sure if the two work in tandem, or if the ExchangeGoogle.apk is used for EAS account or what, but I'll attach both for posterity.
EmailGoogle.apk
ExchangeGoogle.apk
Thanks in advance for any help!

There is already a thread on this. It links to a working modded file. Works great on 4.0.2
Oh, I looked around and didn't see it. I'll search again, but do you happen to have a link handy? Sorry for not doing enough due diligence!

Look for the post by Phyrefox on pg. 5. It's the email from 4.0.2 but it's working fine on 4.0.3 for me. I just renamed the original apk to .apk.bak and replaced it and set the permissions. After you set up your email account, restart your phone and it should stop bugging you about setting a security pin.
Thanks guys, I actually found the thread on my own, got it set up and everything is working fine (thank goodness). I originally only searched the GNex forums, which is why I didn't find this thread. Sorry about that!

[REQ] Hacked EMail App for Exchange JB 4.2

Hi folks,
I am looking for an hacked EMail APK against Exchange Policies.
I don't want to crypt my device or allow remote wipe. I have had one for Android 4.0, can someone provide me a EMail APK for Android 4.2.
Would donate, no problem, my problem is, I can't code.
I know, it against security to get a hacked EMail APK to come around this policies, but in my company only Androids are forced.
Those crappy IPHones? No!
Lumias? No!
Only the "bad" Droids.
this is the dev section not the themes and apps section

If you want to pay a developer just get yourself a licence for Moxier or Touchdown. Both apps keep the security restrictions only to itself thus you don't have to mess your whole phone or tablet.
Use this thread to patch for Exchange.apk. Was using it on JB 4.1 and also works on 4.2.

If you can use webmail to access your email use an app called 'outlook web mobile', works really well
