Does anyone know how to application unlock the T-mobile Dash? If so, could you share how to do this?
Thanks,

Unlocking 101
Please forgive the newbie question, but could someone explain unlocking to me? I know what SIM unlocking is, but what is CID unlocking and application unlocking??
Thank you!

Even thought this has been covered many times, I will be nice and give you a small run down. Next time just use Google to find you answers
SIM Unlock = Use any carrier's SIM in the device
CID Unlock = Load any carrier ROM on the device.
Application Unlock = Most smart phones only allow you to load applications that have an acceptable digital signature. If you try to edit the registry or load an application it will give you an error. Application Unlocking removes this barrier and allows you to install any application or edit the registry to your liking.
Thank you!

Thank you for clarifying this for me!
Also, so you know, I did do a Google search on this issue. I found thousands of articles that relate to CID Unlocking; however, none of the ones I scanned seemed to explain what it actually meant -- only how to do it or not do it. I'm sure an appropriate article is out there somewhere, but after 10 minutes of searching, I figured questions like these are precisely the reason why support forums such as this one exist. To be honest, there's probably very little information that exists here which hasn't been published *somewhere* already -- if you're willing to search hard enough.
The reason I am mentioning this is that I see many, many posts by the "more experienced" or "more knowledgeable" users criticizing people for posting questions which the more advanced user considers too simple. I feel that's unfortunate as, over the long term, it discourages people from supporting sites such as this one and, in fact, seems contrary to the purpose of this type of forum. Sites such as this one provide an invaluable service, and users such as yourself who take the time to answer questions are an indispensable resource. I would think it would be a good feeling to know that you can offer something that will help someone else!
Thanks again!

I thought i attached the file, I uploaded it and a bunch more apps to ftp all for dash, including some real useful ones like MS voice command 1.6 for sp5, and netcf2 update, and then some themes and utilities...hope that helps.
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Excalibur/
Admin edit: File has been removed as it has been reported as a virus.
I also have the aplication unlock but after i have instald the cab file nothing happens and i also can't select anything.

Can you explain some of the applications you have uploaded?
For example is the HTCUnlockInstaller.cab an app, sim, or cid unlocker? Does it do the same as the .exe app unlocker?
Thanks!
Did anybody get this to work? I tried it and got the message "SDA Successfully Unlocked" but it still asks for the unlock code when I reboot the phone.
Could someone please help?
Thanks
Does anybody read this board anymore? I've been reading for days trying to unlock the dash but no help so far.
Any help would be appreciated.
What you're trying to do, it seems, is SIM unlock the phone, which the SDA Unlocker won't do. IMEI-Check is the only place to go to right now to SIM unlock, I believe, and they charge $38. That or be a customer with T-Mobile for more than 90 days.
~Cheers~

Hey,
I am official AppHub Dev and so I unlocked my HTC 7 Pro to install cr***ed Applications. But always when I am trying to install those (or other XAPs), I am getting one of the following Errors
0x8103010b
0x81030120 (after deleting the INTEROPSERVICES Capability, I am getting a "XAP Invalid" Error)
0x81030119
Anybody can help / assist me with these errors??
Thanks

What do you use to deploy?
I suggest wp7-deploy.exe from the package WP7-DesktopMarketplace-setup 1.6.3 here.
Thanks, I used the Installer from the Marketplace app with can be used to download also cr***** apps :-/
It worked after flashing DFT 7714 ... The DRM Signature needed to be rewritten and I removed the sideload limit in Mango (7714)...
I hope this will work in Final Mango also... Will try Saturday... If I have any more problems I will annoy you all in this Thread
Thanks!

Sigh.. this is not a place to receive help on installing cracked applications... If you want those applications, BUY them. We don't need M$ getting fed up and truly knocking us out of the homebrew game for good.
yeah sorry Ur right... Remove if you want
Sent from my 7 Pro T7576 using Board Express

Mark.
(The original thread has too many pages, and would likely go unnoticed.)
We, in Chevron support land, keep receiving the same complaints over and over again re: Tom XAP Installer. Users are attempting to use Tom XAP Installer (v1.2) to deploy interop-required XAPs and they're receiving the misleading error message:
- Please Make sure your phone was unlocked!
- Please Make sure you connected device to PC and Zune lauched
Try again ?

We'd appreciate if you added code to detect 0x81030120 and show a proper error message. It should say something like:
Your phone is not "interop unlocked", which this XAP requires [...] Check out this thread on XDA for more information.

Why not just tell people to use the official MS deployment tool?
I always use the Ms original tool , or a private one from one here at xda.

which one do you use. Actually those who wants to sideload should have a few xap installer apps in their pc then they will know whether it's the chevron unlock or their installer that has a problem>I know that installer has some pros and cons.

I use the MS one and a closed beta from ultrashot (ultrashot one isn't online and maybe never will so don't ask him, if he wants to release he will )
no the problem is @ tom xap sideloader , and I didn't see him here for a long time @ the wp forums
Hi, I think you should create a software block calls and / or SMS Blacklist similar to the program already in place for windows mobile, as depicted below:
http://www.google.it/imgres?q=black...w=135&start=0&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0,i:89
simple but extremely effective.
I hope that you give me positive news
Thanks to all

Hi,

I'm new here and I wish I'll never regret regestering in this Famous Forum ... :fingers-crossed:

I'm so board with my LUMIA 900 Apps that I downloaded a long time ago from the market place
Now I'm looking for a way to help me with DEV-UNLOCKING my Windows Phone 7.8 !
Can I find a Working Sollution that is free ?
And thanks in advance
If you register as a developer you can dev unlock your device and sideload homebrew Apps(up to 3) on your handset, Some downloading is necessary but once its done you can use bazaar or load xap files using the sdk.
Last time I registered it was free.
