Not sure if anyone elses uses Yahoo mail, but The ugly purple and white thing it has going on is putrid.
I use it because it is simple and easy to use, and I don't have to configure anything to use it.
I would give all five of my daily thanks if someone does this
and one
+1 on the black/trans Yahoo Mail. I posted a request for black/trans Twitter in the "general" forum. The minimalists are loving their black themed apps!

I find it quite annoying that the gmail app has white background with black text while most other stuff has black background with white text which is much more readable.
I tried fiddling with the gmail.apk to change the background but didn't get anywhere. So did anyone create such a changed apk or would know how to do that?
Maybe you can ask this guy to help you do it yourself
by the way looking at the kind of themes these guys are producing for their phones I am wondering why don't we have such on samsung

I hated white backgrounds too. So I just installed k9 email
I just cant stand K9... It doesnt feel comfortable at all...
i would also love black inverted versions of pretty much everything!
also wouldnt this help battery life too with how the S AMOLED screen utilizes black pixels?
Hey guys,
I'm looking for the stock SMS Messaging App, but without the ugly yellow/blue deal they've got going on. I would prefer a black and white version, but honestly, I just need a change. So if you have any themed stock messaging apk's, please do share!

Solution!!!
Hey, i know what you mean. its just to boring and simple a change is needed. And i have a solution.
Go to the market and download "Go SMS Pro" trust me, you will never need another SMS apk ever!!! there are sooo many features and themes. Its also Highly customizable so you can have that black and white theme your after.
Hello all,
I'm loving ICS but I have to say the reason I like ICS is that People and SMS and EMail are all light whether white and grey, or white and blue. now I do like the black and blue, but when i'm using the phone, i'm preferring the lighter theme as i find it clearer.
So what i'm requesting is that someone theme the dialler, if possible attach the people app to it rather than the address book (never understood two apps same thing one light one dark) and maybe theming the settings menu etc the same.
IF someone did this for me, i would happily donate £10
Thanks,
Luke.

EDIT: ack, the gmail version there is an older gingerbread version... there was an ICS version in that thread but it looks like the link might be dead. sorry!

I don't think anyone has created any yet, I'm looking myself. The email app is supposed to be invertible through settings, but at least on my phone it doesn't work right. Only a small part of the email body at the top changes to either blue or black. Changing font color works fine however. You can change the font to white and see no text at all, lol.
